Life Sounds In Verse

Life Sounds In Verse by [Linda Perry McCarthy]

Life Sounds In Verse made me realize what a beautiful and soulful thing emotions can be, no matter if they’re good or bad emotions. This collection of poems in this book embodies and explores many different emotions such as hope, love, faith, pain, and, the most bitter of all, grief.

I don’t think me writing a few words about Linda’s poetry can do justice to her lyrical prowess. You need to read her poems to truly feel them.

Linda’s words are soothing and thought-provoking at the same time. The verses flow easily and blend seamlessly, together creating enchanting poetry that stirs the soul. Linda Perry McCarthy has covered a variety of topics, packed with feeling that she calls ‘life sounds’. There are so many poems that spoke to me on a personal level. ‘The Boy Prophet’ is probably my favorite from the collection, but ‘Depression’ probably had me in sincere reflection afterward. Linda took me on an impassioned journey that probed typical emotions with deft lyrical verses.

This compilation of her poetry is something that I will keep coming back to whenever my soul needs nourishment. It is a quick read but the impact of it will surely stay with me. I am looking forward to reading her other works of art.
