VALOR TALE: PEREGRINATION, VOLUME II
Posted by Literary Titan

Valor Tale: Peregrination is an epic fantasy story told in a script style that is written for readers with a thirst for a roaring adventure. As the second book in the series by David Earl Williams III, we follow Dew Wilder and the other members of the Aurora Blade. Even after freeing Helix, their mission isn’t finished. A letter from the Premier needs to be delivered to the Seneschal Llivisaca and it’s the Aurora Blade’s job to do just that. Sounds simple enough right? Well as things progress, Dew and his friends will encounter crime syndicates and mutant beetles, but of course things are not always as black and white as they seem.
At first I was caught off guard; I mean this was supposed to be a fantasy novel, right? The script like dialogue and incorporated illustrations were a shock. However, the more I read (or more like consumed) the book, I came to love the unique style of writing and character interactions. It made the action scenes more exciting because you care about the characters and the plot was easier to follow because of the free flowing dialogue.
Speaking of character interactions, the relationships between characters was something that I found intriguing and well executed in the story. Williams really knows how to set up his characters and their backstory in order to entice the reader into wanting more, but also not bogging them down in the details and slowing the pace of the story. The worldbuilding was also vivid and detailed and I loved the addition of the map at the beginning of the book. Adding a new character into the main group in the second book also gives readers something to look forward to, and I felt it was something that ensured the dynamic between the characters stayed fresh.
The author has mastered the groups witty banter and adventurous personalities in this second installment. From the very beginning the story is action packed and has an intricately woven tale that makes this a fun read for fans of fantasy adventure novels.
