Best Is Temporary – Be Better
Posted by Literary Titan
Anybody will stagnate if they stop trying to make themselves better. It is important to always seek ways to make ourselves and each other better. Best is Temporary- Be Better is a road-map towards being better. It is the kick in the butt that you need to ask yourself important and pertinent questions. Can you truly police your expectations, choices and thoughts successfully enough to enhance yourself?
The author dives deep into the quintessence of the human being. Joe Jekel shines a light on the building blocks of self-development in simple language and an encouragingly engaging tone. It is clear right from the beginning that this is not a motivational book. This is not a book that will give you affirmations and quotes to live by. This is a recipe book for making yourself better. Most books about self-improvement fail because they only tell you that you should be better. However, this book will completely debunk that by showing that personal development is an active process. You do not merely chant affirmations and wait for change.
Joe Jekel has good command of the language. He crafts and constructs language in a way that makes it easy for the reader to understand the complex process of self-betterment. You also get to understand the true meaning of all those philosophical quips. Speaking of which, the philosophical backing of this book is vast and quite enjoyable.
The section on questions will definitely be a favorite for most. It shows the reader how they need to question their own self, actions and attitudes. The section speaks of the right questions to ask. You may question yourself but it is not effective if you are not asking the right questions. There is another part about communication too. This part will be helpful to anyone as it will impact relationships with every other person. It also shines a light on the possible failures of communication and how to not fail at communicating. Then there is another section on personal responsibility. Many people fail on this section. Basically, the book is a break down on people, their interactions and everything in between.
Best is Temporary- Be Better is a complete guide on how to audit yourself and then take steps towards being better in every aspect of your life. Individual efforts towards self-improvement add up to a better world. Thus making this book quite possibly one of the most essential books of this generation. It is indeed more important to strive for better rather than compete for best.
