Why them? Why us?
Posted by Literary Titan

Lost Universe follows 16 people who are the sole survivors of earth and hold the key to humanities future. What was the inspiration for the setup to this exciting novel?
The inspiration came from stargate and star trek mainly as to discover space and save the day. Having an alien race be the saviors may not have that kind impact rather to put humans in the centre of all this and let them be tasked to be the saviors. Why them? Why us? A race in the edge of the galaxy, no one knows of and suddenly they are told they need to save the whole universe.
The Federation is an intriguing race. What were some ideas you wanted to explore with this race?
The very possibility that we are not alone and there could be so many races, just as we imagine it and more focus on gray aliens as they are always ‘painted’ as invaders.
The novel explores some existential questions. What were some themes you wanted to focus on in this book?
I wanted to answer these questions finally in a different way than they were before. We have seen many different ideas through the times in either stories and movies and wanted to have my take on it. a fresh one.
What is the next novel that you are working on and when will it be available?
The next novel is the next Lost Universe as it expands into more complex lines of actions and story.

The Federation are now calling the shots and their tales of visits to Earth and secret testing on humans are disturbing and frightening. The crew must keep all their wits about them to survive this. The Earth they are told is no more; but is this the truth?
Or is it part of an elaborate tale along with cloning, missing treasure and the mysterious Lady Markass?
And all the while, they are being watched…
