I just finished “Best When Served Cold” by D.A. Dawson and was very impressed and anxiously awaiting sequel. It is evident that the author has previous military background or is a great researcher with all of the references to military weaponry. The book was very descriptive, easy reading. The author apparently had some former military experience with the knowledge that was presented in the book. The book was hard to set down once you began to read. The ending was a nice plot twist. I enjoyed the book! Gary C.
Best When Served Cold is a very good novel that will appeal to a variety of readers. Jubal Chain has a nice mix of knowledge, confidence, physical skills, and occasionally, luck, that allow him to escape a series of perilous situations.
Author Dawson provides a level of technical detail that is not always found in this genre. His knowledge of military tactics and firearms adds a lot to the story.
Several plot twists, particularly near the end of the story, add a lot to its appeal.
We are looking forward to the next installment in the Jubal Chain series!
All I can say is I can’t wait for the next book. Served Cold kept my interest couldn’t wait for the next chapter. Well written loved the suspense loved the intrigue loved the story . Hope he hurries and writes the next one. Well done.
