A Dinosaur Named Alone: Where Will I Go?
Posted by Literary Titan

Somewhere out there exists a beautiful world with a sky stretching far beyond the imagination. This world is vast, beautiful, and breathtaking. One little dinosaur has entered the world filled with dreams of the land beyond the caverns of her birth. She sets out to see the beauty and expanse of the sky for herself but makes some stops along the way. What she finds is that everyone is not so eager to leave the caves they call home. Despite their discouraging words and warnings of impending doom, the little dinosaur is determined to make her way into the wide world beyond.
A Dinosaur Named Alone, by O.L. Flubermin, is a delightful children’s picture book written to inspire young readers to take risks and stand tall in the face of adversity. Alone, the book’s main character is challenged at every turn by the slimes, a court comprised of many less-than-helpful insects, and a group of mushrooms who have nothing in the way of good news for her. True to herself and true to her purpose, little Alone forges on. She is a shining example of both strength of character and strength of spirit. Young readers will revel in her determination. They will be right by her side as she meets with a shirk their snide comments and forges bravely onward.
Flubermin’s illustrations are simply phenomenal. Cover to cover, the vibrant colors will mesmerize readers. There is a magical quality to not only the storyline but also the artwork. Contained within the depictions of the cave-dwelling creatures, there are exquisite details and careful touches that, at times, give the illusion that the pages themselves are a brilliant light source.
I am giving A Dinosaur Named Alone, by O.L. Flubermin, a resounding 5 out of 5 stars. Flubermin’s work is stunning in every way needed to draw in young readers, communicate a solid message of self-worth and purpose, and give them a story they will carry with them long after the last page. I highly recommend A Dinosaur Named Alone to anyone looking for a children’s book with a valuable life lesson that resides outside the box.
