Life is About Making Choices
Posted by Literary_Titan
Lyrical Revelations is a poetic journey through love, faith, and life’s complexities, offering readers a clear, resonant reflection on the transformative power of human experiences. What inspired you to explore such a diverse range of themes?
What inspired me to write so many different themes is simple the world is falling apart and a little hope, love and inspiration with a mixture of truth could very well save our already lost and condemn souls.
How do you approach writing about sensitive topics like faith and spirituality in a way that resonates with a wide range of audience?
By telling the truth and not worrying about what others may think or say because at the end of the day Jesus died for our sins so lets not let his death be in vain.
In your exploration of loves complexities what message or insight do you hope readers take away from those poems?
The importance of loving yourself and knowing how to love others love is a very powerful and amazing reaction that not only touches our hearts but can inspire, revive and rejuvenate our souls.
When is the next book you are working on, and when will it be ready?
Most likely, by the end of this year, I’ll be working on my next book or early next year. It will be another poetry book title that hasn’t been decided, but it will be with my old publishing company, Eber and Wein Publishing. I’m very excited and looking forward to it.
Which is more important to you loyalty or respect and why?
That’s a complicated question because how can I respect you if I don’t trust you. And how can I be loyal if you give me no reason to trust your intentions. It all boils down to the people involved and what exactly are their morals and personal beliefs in these two particular subjects.
Do you write for a living or have a regular steady job?
My writing is a second / hustle but I have a steady 21-year-old job in the New York City Housing Authority Emergency Service Department currently in Brooklyn New York where I also reside.
If you have a regular job does that influence your writing if so how?
Life in general influences my writing because everything and anything is a story to tell.
Why are you not more of a traditional poet?
Most of my poetry is inspired by my life experiences and the people I know, but music has a big influence in it as well in regards of getting me into a rhythm. That’s why I can’t see myself writing tradition especially since I feel like I’m extraordinary.
Do you have a solid support system when it comes to writing?
Between God my mother and father & close personal friends real close personal friends I have more than enough support and I’m grateful for everything I have and going to accomplish.
Do you have any regrets when it comes to your life?
Overall I try not to have regrets I’ve made some choices I probably shouldn’t have, but then I think back and say who’s to say if I went the other route my life would have been better. The fact is my life isn’t bad and I still have time to make it much better than what it is today. I just have to stay focused, stay determined and stay ready for my blessings and ignore the haters that are surrounding me on a regular basis.
If you could change anything in your life what would it be?
If anything I will try to change all the times I gave up too quickly because I didn’t feel like I had the support I needed. Life is about making choices preferably choices you can live with and not what make other people happy. Everyone wants to make someone proud but you can’t go through life simply caring what others think because then you go through life being resentful and bitter. Because you feel like you lost valuable time trying to get there approval and attempting to take your next step to redemption.
Which is the most important to you love, intimacy, or sex and why?
We as living creatures need all three to survive love is a component that ignites our inner soul, intimacy is the passion we yearn in order to grow and sex is the physical aspect that stimulates our body, mind and soul.
How would you describe your personality soft, tough or in between and why?
By nature I’m very nice and caring but if you take advantage of my kindness I can be a piece of work as well. I’d rather be the nice guy then the prick I keep dormant inside. But unfortunately some people take kindness for weakness and this is one of the reasons why I had to remove myself from a past work experience plus several personal life experiences. People don’t value friendship and it’s sad because most of us don’t have solid friends at least not like the friend I try to be.
Are you married, single or looking for anyone and why?
I’ve been single for a while for numerous reasons but mainly because I refuse to settle. I mean don’t get me wrong I’m flexible but certain things I’m not willing to bend, of course I would like to find the right woman someone I can cherish, respect, honor and love. Because everyone wants someone to love and cherish, that’s one reason why I don’t believe in cheating, and I refuse to be with anyone who thinks that behavior is acceptable. I love hard and I want my partner, my future wife, my soulmate to go if not as hard as me maybe a tad bit harder.
Would you ever consider writing for someone else in other words being a ghost writer?
To be honest I’ve been ghost writing for people for years. In particular when it comes to my poetry I mean I’ve been writing for my cousins, Aunts, Uncles, coworkers and friends you name it I’ve written for most or all of them at some point. Never thought much of it but if the opportunity presented itself I’ll be open to the idea because I still have some short fiction novel ideas I would love to pitch.
How did lyrical Revelations come about?
Lyrical Revelations was one of many titles my associate Jessica Starks and I was considering together. But in the end I decided to leap on faith and give Jessica my blessing to take the initiative and make the final call and as a result this is how Lyrical Revelations came to light.
