Teamwork Makes The Dreamwork
Posted by Literary Titan

Love is in the Air follows three princesses and their babysitter who accidentally cast a love spell on the whole kingdom and have to reverse it before things get out of hand. What was the inspiration for your story?
There were a few inspirations. I definitely wanted to show appreciation to the girls’ nanny, Ali, who was and is such an important part of our lives. This is who the book is dedicated to, and of course, the inspiration for the main character, Ali the Alligator. She was their nanny for many years. My daughters LOVE making potions and arts and crafts. Lastly, my daughters love LOVE, and they are always hugging people and making friends. They have this gift of making people feel good about themselves. It was very fitting to have their love potion spread throughout the town.
What scene in the book did you have the most fun writing?
I had fun writing the scene when the King and Queen found Ali’s husband, Karl, kissing a picture of her while her was at work because he was under the love spell.
What were some educational aspects that were important for you to include in this children’s book?
I really wanted this book to be light and fun and silly. Teamwork makes the dreamwork. When you work together to accomplish a goal, anything is possible.
Will there be more stories about Angel Scarlet, Princess Daphne, and Fairy Cora? If so, when will it be available?
Yes, The Bobcat Birthday Party is launching this August 2024. Stay tuned!

In the enchanted land of Harmony, the kingdom and all its magical creatures are abuzz celebrating Valentine’s Day. When the King and Queen leave their three daughters — Angel Scarlet, Princess Daphne, and Fairy Cora — with Ali the Alligator, so they can spend a romantic dinner together, the sisters are excited for a fun night with their favorite babysitter.
Ali and the girls decide to make a love perfume in the castle’s garden. But when Angel Scarlett wants to use her wand to help stir the ingredients, an enchantment of love mistakenly wafts over the kingdom and all its inhabitants. Can the girls stop the enchantment before it’s too late? Or maybe it is just what the creatures needed, after all.

Love is in the Air

It’s Valentine’s Day, and the King and Queen have a romantic dinner date planned. They have hired the kingdom’s favorite nanny, Ali the Alligator, to come and watch over the three princesses for the evening. The princesses and Ali have a fun evening planned; they are going to make perfume. When it comes time to mix all the ingredients, Angel Scarlett wants to use her wand to mix them, not realizing that it will turn the perfume into a magical love spell. Suddenly the love spell flies up into the air and spreads all over town. Can they restore order and reverse the love spell before the whole town is under a love spell?
Love is in the Air by Karen M. Bobos is an enchanting children’s story filled with magic and fun facts. This children’s book has relatable characters that children will enjoy reading about and laughing at their antics. There are fun facts scattered through as well, such as peanuts being a legume and not a nut. These are worked into the story seamlessly, making it fun to learn while laughing at the actions of the characters. The whimsical illustrations done by Jazinel Libranda are expressive, bold, and full of details. I loved seeing the full-color artwork on each page, bringing the story to life, and children will love finding all the small touches that are included making each character unique.
Love is in the Air is a beautifully written picture book that children and adults will enjoy reading together about the holiday of Valentine’s Day. The messages of love, friendship, and working together are combined in this feel-good children’s story that will warm the hearts of all who read it.
