Hopeful and Empowered

Gratitude with Grace: Finding Happiness is a deeply personal and heartfelt guide to self-love, healing, and spiritual transformation, drawing on your own life to share your hardships, healing, and growth with readers, providing them with a roadmap to find joy in their own lives. Why was this an important book for you to write?
At one of the lowest points in my life, I felt hollow, weighed down by depression, anxiety, and stress. Therapy was not helping, and I was desperate for relief. One day, a song on the radio instantly lifted me. Soon after, I watched a YouTube video about do-it-yourself crafts that sparked a brand new hobby and reignited my creativity. Those two moments opened a door to the spiritual side I had sensed since childhood when the jingle of my mother’s keys told me she was near. As I reconnected with that intuition, I realized I am an intuitive psychic whose path is to inspire others. If I could climb out of that darkness, maybe my experience could guide someone else. The words poured onto the screen, and each time I paused, I heard the same inner nudge. Keep writing. A lightbulb moment sparked it all, and this book was born from that.
I appreciated the candid nature with which you told your story. What was the hardest thing for you to write about?
Reliving the season when I had to hire a lawyer to protect my home was a painful experience. I was juggling sleepless nights, a second job, and a level of anxiety that felt like rock bottom. One day, I broke down and had a heart-to-heart talk with God, which I mention in the book. A few weeks later, at my second job, small blessings began to appear, and something was said to me that made it clear heaven had been listening the whole time. Again, read the book to find out exactly what happened.
Facing my inner self and accepting that I was psychic was also tricky. That word still felt taboo. However, with the rise of new-age spirituality, I found the strength to face my fears. Because with God, all things are possible.
What were some ideas that were important for you to share in this book?
Women are often taught to stay quiet or, in other words, to be people pleasers. The message is to be seen and not heard, the same thing you might tell a child. History shows how hard we fought for the right to vote and even to hold a credit card in our names, and in many countries today, women are still oppressed. Yet we rise and speak, just as Malala Yousafzai did because, at the end of the day, we want education, equal pay, and the freedom to choose the life we live. We can achieve that through the power of our voices and by learning to say no, saying no means refusing to remain in a relationship that no longer serves us or a job that diminishes our worth. When we claim our voices, we discover our true strength and inspire others to do the same.
What is one thing that you hope readers take away from Gratitude with Grace?
I hope each reader finishes the book feeling hopeful and empowered. The divine is always near, guiding through intuition and synchronicity, whether it is a missed bus that leads to a chance meeting or a melody that lifts the heart. Small choices, such as turning up a favorite song, trying meditation, or picking up a joyful hobby, are baby steps that can create lasting change. There is always a bright side. Sometimes, you need to look at things from a new angle.
What are you working on now, and what can readers look forward to next?
I’m thrilled about my debut novel, The Whimsical Gifts of Emma, coming out this September. It’s a fourth-wall-breaking urban fantasy with a twist. If you love The Good Witch meets Deadpool/Clarissa Explains It All, you’ll be spellbound by this enchanting story full of slow-burn romance, magic, and mystery.

Gratitude with Grace: Finding Happiness

Gratitude with Grace: Finding Happiness is a deeply personal and heartfelt guide to self-love, healing, and spiritual transformation. Written in an accessible and conversational tone, Anita Fonteboa draws from her own life—her hardships, her healing, and her growth—to offer readers a roadmap to joy. The book is organized into thematic chapters that tackle gratitude, manifestation, intuition, and self-awareness. It encourages readers to tune into their inner voice, shift their mindset, and connect to something greater—be it God, angels, or the universe. Through affirmations, real-life anecdotes, meditative practices, and soulful wisdom, the book leads you to discover your own light, even in the darkest moments.
Reading this felt like having a warm and honest chat with a wise friend who’s been through the wringer and still found reasons to smile. I appreciated how Anita doesn’t hide behind theory or abstract advice. She gives you the raw truth of her lived experience, from financial struggles and single motherhood to spiritual awakenings. That honesty makes her message land with impact. The writing is simple, direct, and full of warmth. She repeats her messages often, which might bother some readers, but to me it felt intentional, like a mantra. I especially loved the affirmations peppered throughout the book. At times, I actually found myself saying them out loud, which is a testament to the author’s ability to make her words feel like an invitation rather than a command.
There were moments I wished for more clarity or a deeper dive into certain tools she mentions, like grounding or chakras, which are touched on. Still, the emotion is always present, and that’s what kept me hooked. This isn’t a textbook or a clinical how-to. It’s a love letter to the person who’s struggling but still showing up every day. And that makes it an incredible tool. Chapter 8 was one of my favorite parts of the book because it felt like the heart of everything Anita had been building up to. It was empowering and full of emotional honesty. I loved how she tied all the previous lessons together and reminded us that happiness isn’t something you wait for, it’s something you claim.
I’d recommend Gratitude with Grace to anyone who’s feeling stuck, broken, or lost in the noise of daily life. It’s perfect for readers new to the world of self-help or spiritual growth, especially those who resonate with personal storytelling and faith-driven inspiration. If you’ve ever whispered “there has to be more than this,” this book might just be the soft nudge toward that “more.” It won’t change your life in one read—but it just might remind you that you can. And that’s more than enough to start.

Manifesting Positive Outcomes
Posted by Literary_Titan

Interview
The Color of Dreams follows a struggling craftsman at a crossroads in life, facing challenges in his marriage, career, and sense of purpose, who encounters a mysterious “angel” that reawakens his belief in magic and possibility. What was the inspiration for the setup of your story?
For years, I have used the Law of Attraction in my life to help me manifest positive outcomes that help me and many others. I wanted to find a way to share these incredibly powerful laws with others, and it occurred to me that telling a story of a little angel—a magical being—would be the perfect vehicle to deliver this message. Over many years, I perfected the story and wrote (and rewrote) this book and it is now ready to help others manifest the life that has always called to them.
Was there anything from your own life that you put into the characters in your novel?
Absolutely! I don’t think any author has been able to keep pieces of himself from entering their work. This story takes place in 1988, and one of the things my main character, Ben, has to do is search for work, and he does this through looking through (and avoiding looking through) the classifieds ads in his weekly paper. I still remember having to do this over and over again myself over the years. It was a grind for sure! Another event was having to deal with an aging and beloved pet. There is a very emotional scene in the book that pained me to write, and I sourced my experience around losing my cat Starlite. In fact, the publishing imprint I created is called “Starlite Books,” in memory of her. There are many others, but I’ll save them for another day.
What were some themes that were important for you to explore in this book?
Definitely the idea of the Source that pervades everything in the universe. Whether you call this Source God, or the Spirit of the Universe, or whatever else, there is a Presence that is always there, always available to draw strength and direction from. Another is the Law of Attraction, as mentioned earlier. A key component of this Law is the idea that “Thoughts are Things.” I learned decades ago that you can’t think one thing and create another, and that you have to change what you think about and dwell on before you can make any changes in your life. Another key theme is the idea of choosing faith instead of fear. Faith in your dream, in what truly inspires you, and then to dwell on the positive outcome and feelings of that coming true—rather than on what can go (or currently is going) wrong. We always have a choice about how to direct the creative energy of the Source, and we do that by first becoming aware of what we are constantly focusing on. Remember, thoughts are things. What are you thinking about right now?
What is the next book that you’re working on, and when can your fans expect it out?
Great question! I have two options: The first is to write a follow-up to The Color of Dreams, where the angel returns to Ben to teach him more lessons about life and letting go. I will write that book if this current book takes off and there is a demand for it. The other option, and one I’m leaning towards, is to write a book about my father and my grandfather’s experience in WWII. My family is from Warsaw, Poland, and they bore the brunt of the Nazi invasion in 1939. My father escaped to England and fought the war in the RAF, while the rest of my family remained in Warsaw and fought—and died—in the uprising in 1944. Some of my family members survived the war, and I’m currently doing research on what happened with them all. So, two possible books to write, and no timeline yet. BTW: If anyone is interested in life lessons, they should definitely check out my previous book: The Owner’s Manual to Life: How to Worry Less and Enjoy Life More. It offers 100 life quotes and short essays on how to get the most out of each day. People can also sign up to receive three free quotes every Wednesday by visiting my website and signing up!

Ben Davidson’s life is unraveling. He loses his job unexpectedly, his family is slipping away, and the dream he once shared with his father is on the verge of collapse. Just when it seems like all hope is lost, a magical encounter with a glowing little angel reveals six powerful spiritual truths. Will it be enough to help Ben turn his life around before it’s too late?
Set in the late 1980s in the Pacific Northwest, The Color of Dreams weaves an enchanting tale of perseverance, love, and the mystical forces that shape our reality. As Ben embarks on a journey of self-discovery, the angel teaches him lessons that challenge his deepest fears and awaken his long-buried faith in himself.
In this life-affirming novel, readers will be drawn into Ben’s journey as he learns:
How dreams are born from a higher source
Why thoughts become reality
The power of choosing faith over fear
How to “Imagine better than the best you know”
How to trust the “why” of your dreams and let the “how” unfold
And most of all, how to help others by letting your inner light shine
Will Ben be able to apply these life-changing lessons to rebuild his broken life, rekindle his family’s love, and revive the dream he thought was lost? With heartfelt moments of inspiration and a touch of metaphysical magic, The Color of Dreams is a soul-stirring story that reminds us of the power of believing in ourselves and the beauty of second chances.

The Color Of Dreams
Posted by Literary Titan

Michael Zajaczkowski’s The Color of Dreams unfolds as a poignant narrative of second chances, self-discovery, and the rekindling of lost ambitions. It follows Ben, a struggling craftsman who finds himself at a crossroads in life, facing challenges in his marriage, career, and sense of purpose. When a chance encounter with a mysterious “angel” reawakens his belief in magic and possibility, Ben embarks on a journey to reclaim his dreams, rebuild his relationships, and confront the obstacles that have kept him tethered to mediocrity. The book is set against the backdrop of the late 1980s in Tacoma, Washington, and offers a mix of domestic drama, emotional depth, and moments of magical realism.
One of the strengths of the book lies in its intimate portrayal of Ben’s struggles. Zajaczkowski writes with a natural, almost conversational tone that makes Ben’s internal conflicts feel raw and relatable. Ben’s frustration, Emily’s cautious pragmatism, and the unspoken emotions beneath their words are so well-rendered that I felt like an invisible participant in their conversations. The author’s ability to navigate complex marital dynamics adds depth to the story, grounding its more whimsical elements.
The book also excels in its descriptions of Ben’s craft and aspirations. His passion for woodworking, creating intricately detailed mailboxes, serves as a powerful metaphor for his desire to build something meaningful in his life. Scenes like Ben’s visit to the farmers’ market, where he secures a booth and imagines the bustling possibilities of showcasing his work, brim with hope and determination. These moments made me root for Ben, even as his self-doubt and external pressures threatened to derail him.
Zajaczkowski’s attention to detail in describing Ben’s workshop, tools, and creative process added an authentic layer that made Ben’s dreams tangible. Ryan’s manipulations and Ben’s indignation are initially compelling but become predictable over time, detracting from the more nuanced aspects of the story. On the other hand, the inclusion of the “angel” character provides a refreshing touch of mysticism, though her role occasionally feels underdeveloped, leaving me wishing for a deeper exploration of her significance in Ben’s transformation.
The Color of Dreams is a heartfelt exploration of resilience and the enduring power of belief in oneself, in others, and in the unseen forces that shape our lives. Zajaczkowski’s writing captures both the beauty and the messiness of pursuing one’s dreams, offering readers an emotional journey filled with relatable struggles and moments of quiet triumph. This book would resonate with anyone who has ever felt stuck or doubted their ability to overcome life’s challenges. It’s an inspiring read for dreamers, creatives, and anyone who appreciates stories about rediscovering hope in the face of adversity.

Journey of a Radiant Heart
Posted by Literary Titan

In Journey of a Radiant Heart, author Niomi Nicci offers an introspective account of her spiritual journey, marked by both trials and transformations. The book is neatly divided into two parts, featuring concise chapters that skillfully build tension and suspense, culminating in insightful resolutions in the later sections.
Nicci’s narrative is deeply personal and candid, especially when discussing her foray into the Santeria religion. She openly shares her experiences of abuse within this community and her eventual, decisive departure from organized religion. Her story is one of resilience and healing, acknowledging the lingering presence of her Santerian guardian angels even after leaving the fold. Throughout her journey, Nicci confronts the challenges of healing and the difficulty of forgiving past wrongs. She attributes her progress to the guidance of spirit guides and life coach mentors, who assisted her in transitioning from a victim mindset to one of stability and creative empowerment. Her advice is grounded in both practical wisdom and spiritual insight, offering a blueprint for a more resilient and powerful mental state.
Nicci also introduces various spiritual practices, such as heart lockers, meditation techniques, and grounding and protection methods. These are presented as accessible entry points for those new to spiritual exploration, coupled with the reassurance that it is acceptable to abandon practices that do not resonate personally.
The book resonates with a sense of transformation yet feels intimately relatable. Nicci deftly weaves in elements from diverse cultural practices, such as the Santeria religion, yoga, and other spiritual traditions, which have gained prominence in today’s digital and socially interconnected world. Through her personal evolution as a spiritual medical professional offers readers a compelling example of how to integrate spirituality and mindfulness into daily life while navigating the pitfalls of cultural appropriation and misunderstanding.
Journey of a Radiant Heart is more than just a memoir; it’s a guide that encourages readers to find their own path to spiritual understanding and personal growth. I highly recommend Niomi Nicci’s book to anyone searching for a moving story focused on personal transformation and steeped in hope.
