Lead with Purpose, A Story About Leading In Your Personal And Professional Life
Posted by Literary Titan

Dr. Kevin McGarry’s Lead with Purpose offers a compelling exploration of leadership, personal growth, and family dynamics, all wrapped in a narrative that feels both deeply relatable and insightful. McGarry shares a story through the main character Eddie who’s journey to understanding leadership came from an unexpected source, as he grappled with balancing his professional and personal lives. Out of this chaos emerged critical lessons, which he skillfully presents to readers. McGarry’s book will especially resonate with those facing similar struggles to the protagonist, Eddie, whose life is a reflection of the challenges many of us face in today’s fast-paced, disconnected world.
McGarry’s writing captures the unspoken tensions within Eddie’s household, portraying a broader theme of disconnection in the digital age and the quest for purpose. The way he transitions from Eddie’s strained family life to the softball field hints at a deeper metaphor. It’s not just about family and sports; it’s about bridging the gaps between our professional and personal aspirations. McGarry’s ability to intertwine elements of corporate leadership within these personal moments adds depth and richness to the narrative, making it more than just a story—it’s a guide for those whose lives don’t fit into neatly tied-up bows. The author blends engaging storytelling with practical life lessons, offering a mix of realism and introspection. McGarry writes with a certain artistic flair, using vivid descriptions and emotional depth to capture the essence of family and work-life struggles without overindulging in flowery language. His focus remains on evoking emotional connections through the characters’ interactions and internal conflicts. The pacing is deliberate, allowing the natural tension between Eddie and his family to unfold, mirroring the subtle yet impactful disconnects that often arise in modern lives. Every element of his writing reflects an intentionality and passion that shines through in every page. The book’s central themes—leadership, family, and personal fulfillment—are thoughtfully woven into a larger conversation about balance and meaning. One of the key takeaways is the importance of remaining open to life’s lessons, which can emerge from the most unexpected places, ultimately transforming both your professional and personal approach. McGarry’s tone and vocabulary are carefully chosen, capturing the weight and emotional complexity of modern disconnection, especially within the family. Yet, he offers a sense of renewal through leadership and engagement. The story’s undercurrent of hope, as Eddie embarks on a journey to rediscover purpose, is balanced with complex emotions like frustration, love, and determination.
Lead with Purpose is a thoughtful, well-written reflection on leadership and life. It’s a must-read for anyone looking to reexamine their life choices, leadership style, or find a better balance between work and family. McGarry’s ability to combine practical advice with an engaging, heartfelt narrative makes this book both powerful and transformative.

Billion Dollar Bullseye
Posted by Literary Titan

In Billion Dollar Bullseye, Jonathan “JCron” Cronstedt breaks down his formula for business success by focusing on seven critical principles: Purpose, Profit, Product, Prestige, Promotion, Persuasion, and People. His central thesis is simple but powerful: hitting the “bullseye” in these areas allows businesses to scale quickly and exit on their own terms. Cronstedt offers practical advice and real-life examples from his time at Kajabi. He also supplies strategies for entrepreneurs who are looking to grow their companies meaningfully and in a sustainable way.
I like how action-oriented this book is. Cronstedt doesn’t just present lofty ideas, he translates them into concrete steps. For instance, his explanation of how Purpose drives profitability is backed by research, showing that businesses with clear purpose often grow three times faster than their competitors. This grounded approach makes the book feel more like a guidebook than a motivational read. I appreciated his emphasis on refining purpose not only for external growth but for internal clarity as well, a theme that runs throughout the book and shows up again when he discusses creating a people-centered company culture.
Cronstedt’s writing style is conversational but sharp. His advice on Promotion, for example, is laced with personal anecdotes from Kajabi’s promotional tactics, including how their “Hero” program grew into a viral success. He contrasts big-name companies like Coca-Cola and Apple with everyday entrepreneurs, driving home the point that building brand loyalty and recognition isn’t reserved for massive corporations. I found his thoughts on emotional connection, how brands should be personal and authentic, refreshing in an industry that sometimes leans too hard on hard-selling.
While Cronstedt acknowledges that failure is part of the entrepreneurial journey, the seven-ring system can feel like a magic formula that oversimplifies the messiness of real-world business. Still, I found his advice actionable—his tips on hiring and maintaining a purpose-driven culture resonated with me as a business owner who understands how essential people are to success.
Billion Dollar Bullseye is a must-read for entrepreneurs who want actionable advice wrapped in a conversational, no-nonsense tone. The author’s ability to break down each principle into digestible parts makes it ideal for seasoned business owners and people just starting. If you are looking for a book that gives you not only the “why” but also the “how” of growing your business, this is it.

We’ve Got This: Unlocking the Beauty of Belonging
Posted by Literary Titan

We’ve Got This by Ritu Bhasin is a call to embrace the often-challenging journey toward authentic belonging. Drawing from her personal experiences as a child of immigrant parents and her professional expertise in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), Bhasin crafts a narrative that is both a memoir and a manual. Her stories of battling racism, understanding cultural identity, and ultimately finding her place in the world resonate deeply, offering readers of diverse backgrounds a mirror and a map.
Bhasin’s writing style mixes vulnerability with vigor. She does not shy away from discussing the pain and confusion of her early years. Moments of racism, cultural dissonance, and personal doubt are laid bare with a raw honesty that is as compelling as it is educational. Her transition from a successful lawyer to a DEI leader is not just inspiring but also instructive, providing practical advice for anyone looking to make a significant life change or to find deeper meaning in their work and relationships, empowering the reader and equipping them for personal and professional growth.
The book shines brightest when Bhasin discusses the concept of “Performing Self,” the facade we often present to fit in or feel accepted. Her insights into how this performance can drain one’s sense of self and belonging are poignant. The personal anecdotes she shares, such as her reflective moments in an ashram or interactions with her parents, are not just relatable but are also used effectively to illustrate broader truths about human nature and societal expectations.
We’ve Got This is a compelling guide to living authentically. Bhasin’s book is a powerful testament to the beauty and complexity of forming a true sense of belonging. This self-improvement book is highly recommended for anyone feeling adrift in their cultural, professional, or personal identity, but it particularly resonates with activists and advocates of DEI, validating their work and inspiring them to continue their efforts.

Overcoming Fear
Posted by Literary_Titan

The Wheel of 8 Fears of Entrepreneurs is a modern conceptual model that helps to categorize and address entrepreneurs’ concerns. The book presents a practical and easy-to-understand approach, making it accessible to entrepreneurs at all levels. Could you tell me what motivated you to write this book?
My journey into exploring the realm of entrepreneurial fears was initially parked by an article I wrote for my Spanish blog, Eslabones de Negocio (eslabonesdenegocio.com). What began as just another piece of content unexpectedly evolved into a deep-seated fascination with the subject, leading me to delve further through research, conduct studies, and ultimately embark on the writing journey of a book.
In my typical approach to blog writing, I engage in preliminary research to familiarize myself with the topic at hand. During this process, my focus shifted towards identifying and cataloging the primary fears encountered by entrepreneurs. To my astonishment, I encountered a myriad of perspectives and interpretations on the subject. Various authors presented differing lists of fears, ranging from three to twenty-eight, each offering unique insights. Confronted with this wealth of information, I undertook the task of collating and organizing these diverse fears. My methodology involved grouping similar fears, eliminating redundancies, and consolidating semantically equivalent terms. Subsequently, I endeavored to categorize these fears into broader factors or dimensions.
Through this meticulous process of synthesizing existing literature and conceptual frameworks, I laid the groundwork for the conceptual model presented in this book. Each step in this journey served to refine my understanding and provide a comprehensive framework for exploring and addressing the multifaceted landscape of entrepreneurial fears.
What were some goals you set for yourself as a writer in this book?
In setting my goals as a writer for this book, I aimed to tackle the pervasive fear that often accompanies entrepreneurial experience. Recognizing that fear can be a significant barrier to success, I wanted to dismantle the misconceptions surrounding it and highlight its universality among entrepreneurs. By portraying fear as a natural aspect of the journey rather than a sign of weakness or failure, my intention was to empower entrepreneurs to confront it head-on. My goal is to demystify fear and empower readers to confront it with confidence.
Moreover, I sought to provide practical strategies and insights to help entrepreneurs not only acknowledge their fears but also navigate them effectively. This involved offering guidance on how to identify specific fears, understand their underlying causes, and develop actionable plans to address and overcome them. By equipping readers with tools to manage their fears, I aimed to foster resilience and confidence in their entrepreneurial endeavors.
I wanted to emphasize the importance of acceptance in the process of overcoming fear. Rather than suppressing or denying their anxieties, I encouraged entrepreneurs to embrace them as valuable signals that can guide their growth and decision-making. By reframing fear as a natural part of the entrepreneurial journey, my goal was to shift the narrative from one of apprehension to one of empowerment and opportunity.
Ultimately, my aim as a writer was to provide a comprehensive resource that not only validates the fears of entrepreneurs but also equips them with the knowledge and strategies needed to navigate these challenges successfully. By fostering a culture of understanding, acceptance, and proactive problem-solving, I hoped to empower entrepreneurs to pursue their goals with confidence and resilience.
What is one piece of advice you wish someone had given you when you were younger?
One invaluable piece of advice I wish I had received earlier in life is the reassurance that the hurdles encountered in our professional journeys are not definitive roadblocks. Rather, they are opportunities for growth and learning. Embracing challenges with honesty and unwavering dedication fosters resilience and ultimately leads to solutions.
Additionally, I wish someone had emphasized the profound fulfillment and autonomy that come with entrepreneurship and owning a business. However, starting out as an employee elsewhere to lay down the foundations can be incredibly useful. It’s essential to recognize the significance of laying sturdy groundwork, which often begins with gaining experience as an employee in another setting. This phase provides invaluable insights into business operations, customer relations, and industry dynamics, which serve as pillars for success in entrepreneurship.
Furthermore, pursuing endeavors aligned with our passions significantly enhances the journey’s rewards. When our work is fueled by genuine interest and enthusiasm, it not only becomes more manageable but also more fulfilling. This alignment of passion and profession not only makes the challenges more bearable but also infuses our efforts with a sense of purpose and joy, ultimately leading to greater satisfaction and success in our endeavors.
What is one thing that you hope readers take away from The Wheel of 8 Fears of Entrepreneurs?
A central message I aim for readers to absorb from “The Wheel of 8 Fears of Entrepreneurs” is the normalization and manageability of fear.
I want them to understand that fear is not a sign of weakness but rather a natural response to the challenges inherent in entrepreneurship. By acknowledging fear as a universal aspect of the entrepreneurial journey, readers can shift their perspective from one of apprehension to one of proactive problem-solving.
Ultimately, my hope is that readers emerge from the book with a newfound sense of empowerment and clarity, equipped with the tools and mindset necessary to confront fear head-on and pursue their entrepreneurial aspirations with confidence and resilience.
