As an ambitious mom of 6 who has experienced so many breakthroughs and experiences in her life, I know first-hand that when you keep your cup full, you have the best of yourself to give. I am very passionate about sharing that message with the world.
Motherhood can be the most tiring yet the most fulfilling job in the world, and it can pull you down when you sacrifice your dreams for it. So why not pursue your dreams aligned with your values? Your kids will learn from your actions, and you won’t feel that you have lost yourself in motherhood. They will benefit from having a soul-happy mom.
I do need to comment that, for some people, motherhood is the dream, and that’s wonderful, too.
What were some ideas that were important for you to share in this book?
Definitely the power of perspective and how it can change our experience of life.
What is one piece of advice you wish someone had given you when you were younger?
I did get a wonderful piece of advice from my mom who is also a mom of 6; she always said that the answer to any problem was to choose what makes you happy. It was from that wisdom that I knew the importance of prioritising joy.
What is one thing you hope readers take away from your book?
I hope that the main thing for the moms who read this book is to do parenting your way! It’s not all about doing what is conventional. We are here to guide our children, not to mold them into something we want them to be. A mother’s intuition is strong and will help in this beautiful and nurturing process. Our children grow up so fast!
