Our Beloved Futures
Posted by Literary Titan

Our Beloved Futures unfolds as a sweeping spiritual reflection on collapse, rebirth, and our tangled relationship with Earth. The book blends myth, ecology, futurism, and deeply personal experience into a poetic call for awakening. It moves from the author’s own encounters with grief and wonder to a larger vision of humanity rising through crisis into a renewed sense of interbeing. The early chapters weave Venus, Inanna, banyan trees, and butterfly metamorphosis into a single thread about losing the self we cling to and returning to a more ancient, peaceful way of being. It is a book about remembering who we are beneath the noise.
The writing is lush and vivid. Sometimes it feels like prayer, sometimes like myth retold in the glow of a campfire. I loved that softness. It slowed me down and opened space for feelings I usually push aside. The author writes about grief, collapse, and accountability with a kind of tender boldness that made me stop and breathe. I found myself nodding along when she described anxiety as an “animal” roaming at night that looks for a mind to inhabit. I’ve felt exactly that, and seeing it named so plainly surprised and comforted me.
The language can get mystical. I would catch myself wanting something firmer to grab onto. Still, the sincerity kept pulling me back. The book’s belief in our ability to change is infectious. I appreciated how the author doesn’t dodge the hard stuff. She talks about complicity, privilege, and the uncomfortable work of reckoning with modernity’s harms. She calls it the “age of consequence,” and it resonated with me because it feels exactly like where we are. Even when I didn’t fully track every metaphor, I never doubted the heart behind it.
The book invites you to see yourself as part of a larger unfolding, and even if you don’t share every spiritual frame in its pages, the emotional truth still lands. I’d recommend Our Beloved Futures for readers who enjoy poetic nonfiction, mythic storytelling, and spiritually grounded reflections on climate, culture, and personal transformation. It’s especially suited for people who like to sit with big feelings and big ideas at the same time.

I Am A Dreamer
Posted by Literary_Titan

Dreams and Illusions follows a grieving boutique owner who is both guided and tormented by vivid dreams. What was the inspiration for the setup of your story?
I wanted a main character with the gift of prophetic dreams, but I had to give her an obstacle to create conflict. Gabrielle had been told all her life that her gift came from God, so when her dreams failed to save those closest to her, God must have turned on her. This sets up conflict with her belief system and internally as she searches for someone to blame for her circumstances. Did she fail, or has God failed her?
Did you plan the tone and direction of the novel before writing, or did it come out organically as you were writing?
My main character, Gabrielle, set the tone with her personality and determination to find normalcy, which is why she needed a friend like Kate, to lighten the mood on occasion. I think they create a nice balance.
Is there anything from your own life included in your characters?
I am a dreamer, which is what gave me the idea for the series, and Gabrielle certainly shares my sarcasm. But beyond that I’ve given her many attributes that I would like to have myself, such as her boldness and courage. I think many authors do that with their characters to explore other realities and live vicariously through our characters.
Can you give us a glimpse inside the second book in the Gabrielle Dorian Mystery series? Where will it take readers?
Dreams and Deceptions, the second book in the series stays in Whitman, Washington, where Gabrielle finds she has become a local celebrity, thanks to her best friend Kate. As a result, the two are drawn into a missing person case. In the midst of that, evidence emerges suggesting that Gabrielle’s husband’s death was not an accident, but homicide, and Gabrielle quickly becomes the main suspect. She and Kate will have to decipher Gabrielle’s cryptic dreams to find a lost son and uncover her husband’s real killer.

Gabrielle Dorian believes God has turned against her. Despite prophetic dreams, the grieving boutique owner resents that her alleged gift didn’t prevent her parents’ accidental deaths or protect her husband from a fatal worksite accident. So after receiving a panicked call from the last of her family, the distraught woman shelves her own sorrow and rushes to Seattle to rescue her estranged sister.
Discovering her sibling has been charged with murder, Gabrielle begins to fear the worst when her brother-in-law is missing and his best friend mysteriously comes up with bail money. Battling a hated former classmate in charge of the case, she fights through the murk of suspicious clues that all point to a guilty verdict.
With her last loved one’s life on the line, can she uncover the truth before it’s too late?
Dreams and Illusions is the riveting first book in the Gabrielle Dorian Mysteries Series. If you like headstrong heroines, fast-paced drama, and dark twists, you’ll love Rebecca Olmstead’s tale of doubt and redemption.

Dreams and Illusions: A Gabrielle Dorian Mystery
Posted by Literary Titan

Rebecca Olmstead’s Dreams and Illusions is a gripping mystery that follows Gabrielle Dorian, a boutique owner in Washington, as she struggles with vivid, prophetic dreams that blur the line between the past and the present. When her husband, James, dies under suspicious circumstances, Gabrielle finds herself pulled into a web of secrets, grief, and danger. As she seeks answers, her dreams become both a guiding force and a torment, leading her to places she never expected. With a mix of supernatural elements, suspense, and emotional depth, the book delivers an immersive reading experience.
The writing is engaging, with Olmstead crafting a protagonist who is deeply human, flawed, emotional, and determined. Gabrielle’s grief is palpable, making her journey all the more compelling. Early in the book, when she dreams of her late father trying to tell her something, the weight of loss and desperation is so well conveyed that I felt my own chest tighten. The narrative smoothly transitions between the tangible world and the surreal nature of Gabrielle’s dreams, keeping the suspense high.
What stood out most to me was the novel’s emotional rawness. Gabrielle’s relationship with her best friend, Kate, provides warmth and comic relief amid the darkness. Their friendship feels authentic, full of teasing yet unwavering support. Kate’s lively personality and sharp wit contrast well with Gabrielle’s more reserved nature, making their interactions some of my favorite moments in the book. One particularly moving scene is when Gabrielle, overwhelmed by her grief, finds solace in Kate’s no-nonsense attitude and comforting presence. This relationship anchors the story, reminding us that even in the face of loss, we are not alone.
The mystery itself unfolds at a satisfying pace, with enough twists to keep readers engaged. The introduction of Gabrielle’s estranged sister, Tina, adds another layer of complexity to the narrative. Their fractured relationship feels realistic, filled with unresolved resentment and reluctant duty. When Gabrielle learns that Tina is in jail, charged with writing bad checks and, shockingly, first-degree murder, the story takes an even darker turn. The supernatural elements add an intriguing layer to the story, and I found myself eager to learn even more about the mechanics of Gabrielle’s gift and how it truly functioned beyond the occasional vision. While some aspects remain mysterious, this only adds to the book’s overall allure.
Dreams and Illusions is a compelling read that will appeal to fans of suspenseful mysteries with a touch of the supernatural. It’s particularly well-suited for readers who enjoy character-driven stories with emotional depth and psychological complexity. If you like books that keep you guessing while also pulling at your heartstrings, this one is worth picking up. The book’s strong character dynamics and eerie, dream-laced storytelling make it an engaging and memorable read.

From Worry to Wonder: Seeing God’s Goodness in Life’s Rearview Mirror
Posted by Literary Titan

From Worry to Wonder by Amy Hagerup is a collection of personal stories about faith, resilience, and divine intervention. Structured into six sections, it covers themes like God’s provision, protection, spiritual formation, and purpose through life’s trials. Each chapter presents a real-life challenge and how faith played a role in overcoming it. Whether it’s financial struggles, childhood hardships, or unexpected turns in travel, the book focuses on transforming worry into wonder through trust in God.
What stands out is the honesty in Hagerup’s storytelling. She doesn’t sugarcoat struggles, which makes her experiences feel real and relatable. In Down to My Last Two Dollars, she describes the tough decision to give despite lacking money for food. Her raw reflections show both fear and faith, making this a moment of emotional tension that resonates deeply. This kind of vulnerability runs through the book, making it feel like a conversation with a trusted friend.
Another powerful chapter, Doctor’s Prediction I’d Go Insane, dives into a particularly gripping moment from her past. The way she lays out her fears and the disbelief she encountered from professionals adds an element of suspense. It’s not just about proving others wrong, it’s about leaning into faith when the world says otherwise. I found myself holding my breath as she revealed how the situation unfolded.
Some stories, like Lesson Learned from a Mule, have a touch of humor while still delivering deep wisdom. It’s a great balance, the book never feels too heavy, even when dealing with difficult topics. The writing style is simple and heartfelt, without sounding preachy.
From Worry to Wonder is a great read for those who need encouragement in their faith journey. It’s especially suited for readers who enjoy personal testimonies and practical reflections on trusting God. If you’ve ever faced uncertainty and wondered how faith plays into it, this book might be the reminder you need that wonder can follow even the hardest worries.

Conversation with Xenex
Posted by Literary Titan

Conversation with Xenex, by Adria Sanders, offers a profound exploration into the realms of spirituality, metaphysics, and self-discovery. Guided by the insights of an extraterrestrial entity named Xenex, the book delves into topics that push the boundaries of conventional understanding, inviting readers to explore concepts such as the Akashic Records, past lives, twin flames, parallel universes, and astral projection. Through these explorations, Sanders suggests that readers can unlock deeper truths about existence, energy, time, and ultimately, themselves.
The book seamlessly blends personal narrative with universal guidance, making it both a deeply intimate and widely accessible read. Sanders shares her own pre-incarnation experiences on Earth, revealing a significant mission tied to a mysterious place known as the “Z Base.” This element adds a layer of intrigue to the narrative, merging her personal spiritual journey with teachings that resonate with anyone seeking enlightenment on these esoteric topics.
One of the most powerful lessons in the book comes from Sanders’ reflections on love and self-discovery, particularly in the closing pages. She writes: “So, because of him, I’ve learned to love another beyond personal needs and desires… it was through this connection that I learned to love myself, without expecting a human or non-terrestrial entity to rescue me from any situation…” This poignant excerpt captures the essence of the book—learning to love unconditionally, embracing life with an open heart, and discovering strength and self-love from within, rather than relying on external sources of validation or rescue. A strong theme of self-discovery threads throughout the narrative, urging readers to connect with their true selves and uncover their cosmic purpose.
With Xenex’s guidance, the book offers insights into the vastness of existence and provides a pathway to spiritual fulfillment. The “Z Base” concept is particularly intriguing, serving as a focal point in the narrative. It represents a critical aspect of the soul’s journey, where the soul returns to integrate its experiences before progressing further. This element enriches the story, adding depth and significance to the spiritual teachings presented.
Conversation with Xenex, by Adria Sanders, is an invitation to journey into the depths of your soul and the expanses of the universe. Whether you are a seasoned spiritual seeker or just beginning your exploration, this book promises to guide you toward a deeper understanding of yourself and your place in the cosmos.

Strive to Understand and Empathize
Posted by Literary-Titan
On the Other Side: Memories of a Past Life shares your story of exploring your past life as Ana and the unresolved pain that followed you into this current life. Why was it important to tell your story?
I strongly believe in encouraging people who have gone through experiences like mine to share their stories. The subject of reincarnation is still considered taboo by many, but it’s time to break that barrier. I urge individuals to speak out about their experiences and fears and let go of the fear of being exposed and rejected. It’s essential to embrace the intensity of past life experiences and share them with others who are interested in learning more about them.
What is a common misconception you feel people have about lucid dreams and reincarnations?
It’s crucial to approach others’ experiences with an open mind and heart. Rather than dismissing them outright, we should strive to understand and empathize, even if we don’t necessarily agree. Each person’s experience is unique and meaningful to them and should be acknowledged as such. By embracing this perspective, we can foster greater acceptance, empathy, and connection with one another.
I appreciated the candid nature with which you told your story. What was the hardest thing for you to write about?
During the years 2018-2021, I wrote to document the experiences that I went through. Writing helped me establish a boundary between my past self and who I am now. It was a way for me to anchor myself and my thoughts. Deciding to publish the book was a challenging decision for me, but I took the bold step to share my story with the world, despite it being deeply personal. I feel proud and confident in my decision to put myself out there and let my voice be heard.
What is one thing that you hope readers take away from On the Other Side: Memories of a Past Life?
This book speaks to two types of readers – those who find joy in the story and those who seek spiritual growth. For those interested in the story, I invite you to read it and experience the emotions within it at your own pace. For those who are on a spiritual journey, I encourage you to have faith in your experiences and to share them with others. Carrying the weight of your experiences alone can be a heavy burden. Through them, you can discover what defines you and how you can move forward into a brighter future.

On the other side: Memories of a past life
Posted by Literary Titan

Adria Sanders’ On the Other Side: Memories of a Past Life presents an engaging exploration of the boundaries between a person’s current life and their past lives. The book delves into Adria’s lucid dreams, exploring reincarnation, and the intricacies of the human mind, offering readers a unique literary experience. Going back in time to early 20th-century Cuba, the narrative follows the life of Ana, affectionately known as Ani, a young girl of mixed heritage. The book begins with an evocative scene of Ani, aged five, on a sunlit porch overlooking a desolate beach, dressed in a striking red and white polka dot dress.
Sanders skilfully transports readers to Ana’s life circa 1919, where she meets a blond Englishman, Officer Richard Gunther, or Rico. The interwoven love story of Ani and Rico mirrors the author’s personal journey, seeking meaning and a profound connection with Rico through the lens of lucid dreams. The book encourages readers to immerse themselves in Sanders’ unconventional exploration, akin to engaging with a gripping film or novel. Sanders recounts transformative experiences, such as navigating new dimensions through lucid dreaming and astral travel from 2018 to 2019, which significantly reshaped her life as a dynamic businesswoman. This exploration of parallel lives between her present and past selves leads to poignant revelations of healing and self-discovery. On the Other Side invites reflection on the nature and implications of lucid dreaming. It raises questions about whether these experiences uncover profound truths or are mere figments of the imagination, stimulating ongoing discussions about human consciousness.
On the Other Side is a captivating book that delves into the world of metaphysical exploration. It offers a mesmerizing and thought-provoking journey into the realms of past life experiences, astral journeys, and regressive hypnosis. The author’s skillful storytelling and descriptive writing style transports the reader to extraordinary places and helps them envision these otherworldly experiences. If you are an open-minded reader seeking an engrossing and enlightening read, On the Other Side is the perfect book for you.

Life-Giving Encouragement
Posted by Literary-Titan

A Purely Wrong Story is a nuanced spiritual self-help book tailored for women grappling with the aftermath of sexual shame. Why was this an important book for you to write?
I wrote this book not only because I have been in the same shoes, grappling with my own aftermaths, but because I could pack out a second book listing the mistakes I have made over a ridiculous amount of years! I hoped to save other women from any portion of the delays and regrets that I knew so well. My prolonged search for healing was partially due to the Christian community often preferring or only addressing a message of abstinence, so I felt there was a significant gap in acknowledging and supporting any woman whose story didn’t include abstinence. Yet beyond coming alongside those who are already hurting, I want to demolish the imaginary gap that has separated millions of women from true healing in the first place.
Women are often told to hide their past and not address anything that goes against the teachings of Christianity. What were some ideas that were important for you to share in this book?
Hiding and denying are rooted in shame: the belief that something is so inherently wrong, so beyond hope, or so uniquely horrible that it does not have the capability or deserve the privilege of being expressed. However, in every story I read about Jesus, He always sought the least likely companions. Never once did He silence or shame anyone with a messy past or a less-than-perfect present. What He did do, though, was deflate the religious elite of His time—those who felt they were superior, infallible, or beyond reproach.
No one is perfect. Everyone falls short of the Bible’s teachings in some way, so no one maintains the right to make any woman feel “less-than” because her life is imperfect in any capacity. For me, it was incredibly freeing to accept that there was nothing I could do to disqualify me from Jesus’ love. Nothing I experienced or did would ever overpower God’s grace. Keeping my past hidden produced zero value. Instead, hiding kept me from knowing the freedom of being loved and accepted.
I want all women to know this freedom available to them, too: Despite what they may believe or what others have said, they are not “ruined,” their stories still hold potential and value, and Jesus happens to think the world of them.
Sharing the things you went through and the shame you felt allows readers to see your book as more than just information; you connect on a personal level. What was the hardest thing for you to write about?
The hardest thing when writing about painful experiences is that there is so much pain and so little time. Drawing on the rawest fears and hesitations that held me back, I sought to confront as many possible objections and hindrances as I could that may be barring readers from finding their healing. Despite my longing to remedy their pain, I know I cannot be the ultimate one to remove their pain, for healing is a choice every woman must make for herself. Yet, since too many women feel that healing is beyond their reach, I was desperate to speak life-giving encouragement and deliver life-sustaining help to those haunted by the deepest levels of hopelessness and shame. I tried my hardest to write in a way that honors every woman with the self-worth they deserve and the power they need to banish their pain once and for all.
What is one thing you hope readers take away from your book?
Assurance. Women who have suffered any form of sexual trauma will likely approach this book with only one assurance: Life is hard. While hardship will remain a fact in these women’s stories, I want a more significant, undeniable fact to dominate their lives: their stories are not over. In the deepest parts of their souls, may readers walk away with unshakeable joy stemming from the assurance of their healing—both now and forever.

Maybe someone took your choice, or perhaps you regret the choices you made, but with dysfunctional sexual incidents on the rise, so are the numbers of women living with the shame incurred from these detrimental experiences increasing as well. Until now, your best options have remained guarding your story and masking your pain–at least, that’s what your shame insisted.
But it’s time to improve your prospects.
Your circumstances might seem too awkward or embarrassing to address, yet author Laurel Burns was once a captive of shame too. Offering discreet support, A Purely Wrong Story halts shame’s infiltration and accompanies your journey to:Acknowledge and accurately assess your experiences and the resulting trauma or guilt
Discover motivations and beliefs preventing your healing
Demolish barriers keeping you, as a non-believer or even as a believer, from approaching Scripture to access an under-emphasized game-changer
Free yourself from self-doubt while ousting shame as the defining word of your life
Why bother trying to hide or erase your life’s details when they’re perfect for writing a purely wrong story?
Given this social issue’s vast reach, A Purely Wrong Story includes reflection/discussion questions as part of its bonus material for additional growth and support. These questions are suitable for an individual’s personal development as well as a social group study. A step toward healing, in any capacity, marks progress toward eradicating sexual shame–one story, one woman, one life at a time.
