Awakening Stories
Posted by Literary Titan

Awakening Stories is a collection of personal essays written by twenty-three individuals who share their spiritual and emotional transformations. The book begins with an introduction by Dr. Allison Brown, who frames the anthology as part of a broader human awakening, a time when individuals and societies are breaking down old ways of being to rebuild something more authentic and compassionate. Each story follows a different thread: grief, addiction, faith, illness, self-discovery, and love. Together, they form a patchwork of healing, vulnerability, and inner strength that echoes one truth, awakening isn’t a single event but a lifelong process of remembering who we are.
Every chapter opened a window into someone’s private reckoning with pain and renewal. The writing varies, sometimes lyrical, sometimes blunt, but always sincere. I found myself pausing often, not because the text was dense, but because it stirred things I hadn’t planned to feel. Some stories shimmered with beauty, like Julie Sivell’s reflection on homesickness for the divine, or Evan Brown’s raw recollection of a moment of awakening in a Hawaiian temple. Others punched harder, especially those that dealt with trauma and survival. There’s a rhythm to the book, like waves of confession and clarity, and though the voices differ, there’s a common heartbeat pulsing through them: hope.
Stylistically, the book has an intimacy that pulls you close. It doesn’t read like a polished self-help manual or a philosophical treatise, it reads like a gathering around a fire. Some passages drift into the mystical. It invites you to question, to lean in, to wrestle with what you believe. Dr. Brown’s vision as editor feels grounded in compassion rather than doctrine.
I’d recommend Awakening Stories to anyone feeling lost, restless, or curious about the deeper layers of being alive. It’s not a quick read, it’s one you sit with. If you’ve ever faced a moment that cracked your sense of self, this book will meet you there and whisper that you’re not alone. It’s for the seekers, the skeptics, the wounded, and anyone brave enough to believe that breaking apart might just be the first step toward becoming whole.

Death Kindly Stopped For Me: A Book of Poetry Inspired by Emily Dickinson
Posted by Literary Titan

Corey Elizabeth Jackson’s Death Kindly Stopped For Me is a haunting, luminous collection that channels the spirit of Emily Dickinson while carving a voice all its own. Through meditations on mortality, transcendence, and the soul’s voyage beyond the veil, Jackson crafts poetry that is both graceful and profound. Divided into four sections, Death Befriended, Kindred Spirits, Death Released, and Soulscape the collection reimagines Death not as an adversary, but a quiet companion. Dickinson’s enigmatic tone lingers like a spectral echo, yet Jackson infuses each page with vivid, celestial imagery that feels strikingly original.
Jackson’s emotional range is remarkable. There’s a delicate balance of sorrow and tenderness throughout, most evident in poems like Death Wrapped a Shawl Around My Shoulder, where Death emerges as a caregiver gentle, yet unnerving. In Death Amongst the Daffodils, the afterlife glows with warmth, casting eternity as a sunlit field. Light and shadow dance across the verses, invoking Dickinson’s own paradoxes while offering fresh interpretation.
What distinguishes this collection most, however, is Jackson’s distinctive, modern voice. Poems like Barbie Could Not Stop for Death and With Covid Deaths We Can More Widely See ground the work firmly in the present, bringing contemporary resonance to timeless themes. These pieces are bold and thought-provoking, yet seamlessly integrated with the more classical compositions.
The illustrations by Daniel Schmelling deserve high praise. Ethereal and deeply emotive, they do more than accompany the text, they elevate it. Each image enriches the atmosphere, pulling the reader further into the dreamlike world Jackson constructs. The visual and verbal elements work in harmony, enhancing the immersive quality of the collection.
Jackson’s ability to evoke deep feeling with spare, lyrical lines is her greatest strength. When First I Saw My Baby Boy is heartrending in its simplicity a quiet elegy for a lost child. In contrast, Owl Ensconced on Oaken Branch offers quiet wisdom and gentle reflection. The final section, Soulscape, concludes the journey with wonder and serenity. Poems like Galaxies with Memories transform death into a cosmic return, a homecoming among the stars.
Death Kindly Stopped For Me: A Book of Poetry Inspired by Emily Dickinson is an essential reading for admirers of Dickinson, Poe, or Mary Oliver for anyone who cherishes introspective poetry that lingers long after the last line. Jackson doesn’t merely contemplate death she reimagines it. Her work invites us to walk with it, to find comfort in the mystery, and perhaps even, to dance.

Empathic Evolution: An Invitation from the Council of We
Posted by Literary Titan

Jennifer Elizabeth Moore’s Empathic Evolution is an introspective and spiritually charged exploration designed to connect deeply sensitive people—empaths—to their higher purpose. The book unfolds as a channeled guide from the “Council of We,” intertwining wisdom from spiritual teachings with practical insights on navigating emotional and energetic overwhelm. Moore takes readers on a journey through seven chakras, framing each chapter around themes like safety, pleasure, sovereignty, and communion. It’s part spiritual guide, part self-help manual, all aimed at healing, connection, and transformation.
One thing I noticed right away is how deeply personal and vulnerable Moore’s writing feels. She shares her journey with openness, recounting her struggles with self-doubt, trauma, and skepticism toward the very spiritual path she now champions. For instance, the story of her modified rosary practice during a period of brain recovery felt raw and authentic. Her shift from resistance to a connection with the divine made me feel like I wasn’t alone in my own doubts. That honesty is a highlight. It feels like a conversation with someone who truly understands the messy, emotional chaos of being an empath.
The structure of the book, built around the chakras, is inspired and works well to organize Moore’s teachings. The first chapter, “The Root: Safety,” sets a tone of compassionate grounding, explaining how disconnection from our bodies and the Earth creates a sense of insecurity. The metaphor of humans as “cells in the body of the Earth” stuck with me. It’s a vivid way to remind us of our interconnectedness, and it made me rethink how I see my own role in the larger picture of life. Yet, some passages veered toward abstract ideas, which might feel a bit nebulous if you’re not already familiar with spiritual jargon.
What I really appreciated were the practical tools and meditative exercises scattered throughout. The section on “Permission, Desire, and Creative Expression” reminded me of the ways I’ve dimmed my own desires, fearing judgment or failure. Moore’s emphasis on reclaiming pleasure and sovereignty felt like a wake-up call. She gives actionable advice—like visualizations or energy-clearing techniques—that make lofty concepts accessible.
Moore’s writing style is fluid and warm, but it’s also full of surprises. Her frequent digressions into personal anecdotes or historical and spiritual metaphors give the book a lively, textured feel. For me, it felt expansive, like an invitation to consider perspectives I hadn’t thought of before.
I’d recommend Empathic Evolution to anyone who feels deeply affected by the world—whether you’re an empath, a seeker, or just someone who wants to reconnect with yourself and others. It’s also ideal for those drawn to spiritual exploration or energy work. It’s not a light read, but it’s an enriching one, offering layers of insight for those willing to dive in. Moore’s honesty, passion, and hard-earned wisdom shine through, making this book both a guide and a companion on the journey toward emotional and spiritual wholeness.

Living in Our Truth
Posted by Literary-Titan

Awaken to Your Truth: The Time is Now urges readers to transcend ego and embrace their authentic selves through love, unity, and mindful spiritual practices. Why was this an important book for you to write?
The messages in this book are divinely guided to help each individual shift into a higher state of consciousness, out of living in fear, and into living in love. This will influence and uplift others and create a collaboration of healing for our planet. As one transcends the ego, there is one more light in our world. I am passionate about assisting men and women access and activate their divine truth and power to live in peace and create the life that they rightfully desire without pain and suffering. This book is a guide to illuminate their path and heal our world.
In Awaken to Your Truth, you emphasize the phrase “THE TIME IS NOW” throughout the book. What led you to feel this sense of urgency for humanity’s spiritual awakening, and how has this influenced your own personal journey?
The energetic frequency of our planet is at a very low state. We are hurting each other and everything in existence, here on earth and beyond. The sooner we awaken, the faster we may embrace peace on earth and live in harmony with each other and all. It is the responsibility of each individual to do their part in healing themselves.
I live in a peaceful state, as I know how important it is to take responsibility for my own personal state of being. As a spirit, having a human experience, I know I am here to experience the good and the bad, the happy and the sad, and everything in between. I see challenges as opportunities and trust they open the doors to greater possibilities. We are in physicality to learn and grow … for soul expansion. Every experience is a beautiful one. I am grateful for the lessons.
How do you see the balance between personal responsibility and the larger systemic issues like political corruption and environmental destruction that you highlight?
I am in a position to affect positive change with the energetic frequency that I emanate. I believe my vibrational affects all and assists in breaking down the systems that are not for our highest good. All in existence is energy, vibrating at different levels. We must remember it is our personal vibrational state that we must work with to harmonize the energies of our planet and create a better world. When living in our truth (love), we are in a peaceful, joyous state of gratitude. We have faith and trust that all is working out in our favour, and it will when we allow it.
How do you envision the role of mindfulness practices, like grounding in gratitude and conscious creation, in helping individuals make meaningful shifts in their daily lives?
These practices help individuals shift into higher consciousness to make wiser choices. The more grateful you are, the more you will attract to be grateful for. Gratitude is a very high vibration that opens the heart and mind and heals the soul.
Living in the moment creates a more peaceful, trusting state of being. There are no problems in the NOW moment. When you live with awareness, you may more easily create the reality that you wish for. You are not thinking about the past, nor worrying about the future. You are appreciating the very moment, which is the only REAL moment that exists. This enables you to make wiser choices. Life becomes so much easier when you’re not forcing your way through it. You accept all that comes. Your mind does not wander. Your mind stays focused on gratitude.

Journey of a Radiant Heart
Posted by Literary Titan

In Journey of a Radiant Heart, author Niomi Nicci offers an introspective account of her spiritual journey, marked by both trials and transformations. The book is neatly divided into two parts, featuring concise chapters that skillfully build tension and suspense, culminating in insightful resolutions in the later sections.
Nicci’s narrative is deeply personal and candid, especially when discussing her foray into the Santeria religion. She openly shares her experiences of abuse within this community and her eventual, decisive departure from organized religion. Her story is one of resilience and healing, acknowledging the lingering presence of her Santerian guardian angels even after leaving the fold. Throughout her journey, Nicci confronts the challenges of healing and the difficulty of forgiving past wrongs. She attributes her progress to the guidance of spirit guides and life coach mentors, who assisted her in transitioning from a victim mindset to one of stability and creative empowerment. Her advice is grounded in both practical wisdom and spiritual insight, offering a blueprint for a more resilient and powerful mental state.
Nicci also introduces various spiritual practices, such as heart lockers, meditation techniques, and grounding and protection methods. These are presented as accessible entry points for those new to spiritual exploration, coupled with the reassurance that it is acceptable to abandon practices that do not resonate personally.
The book resonates with a sense of transformation yet feels intimately relatable. Nicci deftly weaves in elements from diverse cultural practices, such as the Santeria religion, yoga, and other spiritual traditions, which have gained prominence in today’s digital and socially interconnected world. Through her personal evolution as a spiritual medical professional offers readers a compelling example of how to integrate spirituality and mindfulness into daily life while navigating the pitfalls of cultural appropriation and misunderstanding.
Journey of a Radiant Heart is more than just a memoir; it’s a guide that encourages readers to find their own path to spiritual understanding and personal growth. I highly recommend Niomi Nicci’s book to anyone searching for a moving story focused on personal transformation and steeped in hope.
