Forever Luna – A Martini Girl Bar Novel Book 2

Forever Luna by Gracie Cooper, the second book in the Martini Girl Bar series, weaves a compelling narrative that intertwines romance, adventure, and a vibrant bar scene. The novel introduces us to Luna, a character marked by her independence and zest for life. Luna’s journey entangles with Levi, known affectionately as the Viking for his tattoos and charismatic presence. Their budding romance faces hurdles due to misunderstandings, compelling Levi to adopt a patient and understanding approach to win her back. The story unfolds with Levi’s earnest efforts to reconcile, giving Luna the necessary space to reflect on their relationship and showcasing the strength of their bond.

The book excels in character development, particularly with Luna, who is portrayed as charming, responsible, and endearingly affectionate, with a solid support system of friends. The interactions among the characters stand out, marked by humor, wit, and resourcefulness. Despite Levi’s rugged exterior, his depth and gentlemanly qualities add a compelling layer to his persona. The chemistry between Luna and Levi is a highlight, with their playful, tension-filled dynamics adding a layer of excitement to their romance. Cooper’s descriptive prowess shines in her storytelling, immersing readers in the emotional rollercoaster of the characters while maintaining a balance with their professional and personal lives. The novel’s incorporation of Halo and Tails, embodiments of Luna’s conscience, although slightly unconventional, adds a whimsical element that enriches the narrative and offers insight into Luna’s inner conflicts.

Forever Luna is an engaging blend of humor, drama, and romance. Cooper’s narrative style and character portrayal create a captivating and enjoyable reading experience, making the novel an appealing choice for those seeking a lighthearted yet emotionally resonant story.

A Special Character

Gracie Cooper Author Interview

Gargoyle’s Spring follows a lonely witch banished for her misguided magic who schemes with her best friend to transform a gargoyle into her boyfriend. Where did the idea for this novel come from?

The idea came to me one evening while I was completing a paint-by-number canvas of a witch and a cat while listening to Taylor Swift. The scenes of a clumsy witch and her familiars came to mind instantly. It took me a little longer to figure out the MMC. I kept juggling between a Gargoyle or Reaper. I finally decided on both, but they would each get their own novel.

Ibis is such a relatable character. Is there anything from your own experiences reflected in her storyline?

Oh, I’ve been known to be clumsy, but I can honestly say that I have never unleashed havoc in a library. Final answer. However, Ibis is a special character. My aunt’s name was Ibis and my great-grandfather’s name was Heliodoro. It was my way of honoring them and a few others in the book.

What is the next book you are working on, and when will it be available?

I am currently working on a paranormal Ghost stand-alone. I am hoping to have it done for May and the second installment of The Veil’s series following Gargoyle’s Spring will come out this Summer. I also have the second Martini Girl Bar book, Forever Luna, coming out July 17, 2024.

Ibis Heliodoro is a Light Witch of The Order at The Veil. There’s just one problem. Her magic is broken. What witch cannot do magic, some may ask? Ibis Heliodoro. That witch. Cast out by the Coven for her lack of magical skills, Ibis is banished into the sacred walls of the library. Feeling outcasted and alone, Ibis spends her evenings reading to her familiars and the stone statue that takes up half the space of her small room, trying hard not to drown her hurt feelings in ice cream. Until her best friend comes in with one of her inventive ideas to cheer Ibis. Afterall, what’s better than a book boyfriend come to life? There was just one small obstacle to their master plan. The spell needs to be completed by Ibis.

He is a Gargoyle. One without a past. One with an unknown future. One with a bestowed name. Oliver. What kind of name is this? After being summoned by witches and brought into a strange world, he is cursed by those same witches. What kind of curse, some may ask? A stone-sleep curse. One that sends a Gargoyle into total darkness that is beyond sleep. Beyond reality, until he hears her voice. A voice calling him forward, bringing him back into the bizarre world surrounded by scriptures, scrolls and unusual animals. His fate lies in the hands of the enchanting clumsy witch, who breaks his curse.
What happens when a magic spell goes wrong in all the right ways?

Gargoyle’s Spring

In Gargoyle’s Spring, by Gracie Cooper, readers are introduced to a young witch from a prestigious clan set apart by her peculiar talent for derailing spells and hexes. Rejecting the suitor chosen by her influential family, she faces a future overshadowed by solitude, with her nights reserved for books, ice cream, and the company of her loyal familiars. However, a creative plan proposed by her best friend tilts her world in an unexpectedly positive direction.

Ibis, the protagonist, is a charmingly imperfect character, her endearing flaws forge a connection with the reader. The ensemble of eccentric characters that surround her complements her personality beautifully. The narrative takes a whimsical turn with the entrance of a prince charming unlike any other – a Gargoyle liberated from an ancient curse. The novel brims with chaos, adventure, and continuous humor, celebrating a character who embraces her uniqueness and maintains an optimistic outlook.

Gargoyle’s Spring is a lighthearted, engaging read that provides a comforting sense of warmth. Ibis, as the central character, is not only relatable and kind but also exudes a self-deprecating humor that reveals her inner strength and self-acceptance. The novel adeptly explores themes of friendship, familial bonds, and personal struggles, striking a balance that resonates with a wide audience without detracting from its playful tone. The plot is dynamic, characterized by witty exchanges that keep the narrative lively and fresh. While the romance in the book is subtly spiced, it doesn’t detract from the depth of the relationships, focusing instead on the evolving dynamics between characters.

Suitable for an evening’s leisurely read, Gargoyle’s Spring offers a delightful escape, transporting readers just far enough from reality to be thoroughly enjoyable without being overly fantastical. A highly recommended read for fans of the magical fantasy genre.

My Own Disastrous Dating Life

Gracie Cooper Author Interview

Loving Whiskey follows a successful bar owner who crosses paths with a busy single dad who challenges her self-imposed love ban. What was the inspiration for the setup of your story?

I’m a huge fan of romantic comedies and though being a single parent or running a busy is nothing to laugh about, sometimes life throws you a funny bone and gives you something to chuckle over. I can’t really say what in particular inspired the storyline. Maybe it was my own disastrous dating life. What I do know is finding your person, is not always easy, but when you do, it is so worth the wait.

Willow and Colton are interesting and well-developed characters. What were some driving ideals behind their character’s relationship?

I love the idea of friends supporting friends. Being loyal, truthful, independent and honest with each other even if it hurts. That to me is the value of friendship. It doesn’t matter their background, race or how they identify. “Ride or Die” like the saying goes. I believe both Willow and Colton have this trait for both their friends and family and for each other.

What were some themes that were important for you to explore in this book?

Besides the instant attraction between Willow and Colton, I wanted to explore the idea of sun-plots with the story itself. It would give the readers an idea of what the next possible book would be. I also like the idea of “Easter Eggs” hidden within the book…like they do in the movies. Did you catch on to Wes playing scrabble with a certain nurse? Know who the nurse could be? (Wink wink)

What is the next book that you are working on and when will it be available?

I am wrapping up Book 2 of Martini Girl Bar (Luna & Levi) and have started a few scenes on Book 3 (Mila & Beck). I hope to have book 2 out later this year.

I’ve also have two other stand-alones that I am excited about (paranormal rom-com). More on those at a later date.

Lightning strikes when Willow and Colt are around, proving love enters when they least expect it.

Loving Whiskey

Loving Whiskey by Gracie Cooper follows Willow, an incredible woman known as ‘Whiskey, The Bartender.’ She cares about supporting her family, has her own bar, and finds time to be with her friends. She is not interested in love. She has various situations to resolve with her business, but everything changes with the arrival of Colt. He is the new guitarist at the bar. Colt is an attractive, educated, and above all, responsible man. He takes care of his niece and grandmother. And once they meet, they discover that love is more than just attraction. It’s about enjoying time and having things in common.

I enjoyed Loving Whiskey because it seemed like a fun story with a big heart and you can pick that up right from the start. Gracie Cooper describes expressive people in their gestures, actions, and words. That’s why one of my favorite characters was Noni, Colt’s grandmother. She is an energetic woman who says what she feels without restrictions.

The settings are well described and easily place readers in the scene, especially in the bar, which conveys a lot of energy, and gossip is the order of the day. Gracie Cooper knows how to combine realism with humor and style. I liked the concept of Willow being an entrepreneur and the owner of the Martini Girl Bar, a place that men and women can enjoy equally. It highlights Willow’s creativity and intuitive business mind and strengths.

Loving Whiskey is a sensual, flirty, and humorous novel. There is an assortment of characters to discover within the pages. If you are able to keep up with who’s who, then I think you’ll heartily enjoy this book. I would have liked a more specific selection of people, but in this particular case, I understand this decision to leave it at that. What would a bar be without its customers? That’s why I recommend Loving Whiskey to every girl who wants to brighten her day with a heartfelt story, or any reader looking for a fun read.
