The Day the Clouds Went Away
Posted by Literary Titan

The Day the Clouds Went Away, by Richard Rieman, is a charming and heartwarming tale set in a whimsical kingdom where Princess Claudia, a visually impaired and strong-willed young girl, learns the importance of clouds and the natural balance they bring to her world. With the help of her guide owl, Iris, and the bumbling but well-meaning wizard, Fumbledore, Claudia navigates the challenges brought by the disappearance of clouds, ultimately discovering their vital role in her ecosystem.
What struck me immediately about this book was its enchanting storytelling and vivid illustrations. Rieman masterfully combines a captivating narrative with educational elements, making the story both entertaining and informative. The characters are delightful, each contributing to the plot in meaningful ways. For example, Fumbledore’s clumsy magic and the various clouds like Cyrus McCirrus and Chrissy the Cumulus Cat Cloud add both humor and depth to the story. The author’s ability to personify the clouds makes the science behind them engaging and accessible to young readers.
One of the standout aspects of this book is its underlying message about the environment and the interconnectedness of nature. Claudia’s initial desire to banish the clouds for a sunny birthday party leads to unintended consequences, highlighting the importance of every element in our ecosystem. This theme is gently woven into the story without feeling didactic, making it an excellent conversation starter for parents and educators about environmental stewardship and the natural world. The pacing of the book is well-suited for its intended audience, with enough action to keep young readers engaged while also allowing for moments of reflection and learning. The resolution is satisfying and reinforces the book’s positive messages. The introduction of various types of clouds and their functions, complemented by beautiful illustrations, makes this book not just a story but a learning experience.
The Day the Clouds Went Away is a delightful read that I would highly recommend for children and parents alike. Its blend of charming storytelling, educational content, and beautiful artwork makes it a standout in children’s literature. This book is perfect for young readers who enjoy magical tales and for parents looking for stories with positive messages about the environment and appreciating nature.

Family moments have the power to create enduring memories for children, a theme beautifully explored in Dr. Shon Shree Lewis’s delightful book, Coco’s Fourth of July at the Zoo. The story begins with Coco, an inquisitive young girl, watching TV with her faithful dog, Chico. Captivated by a cartoon featuring tigers, Coco’s curiosity is piqued, prompting her to ask her mother about these magnificent creatures. The Good Kid Hero
Posted by Literary-Titan

Snoodles in Space, Episode 2: The Zoodles Strike Back follows two heroes who face off with a disgruntled inventor and set out to save the world’s water supply from being poisoned. What was the inspiration for the setup of your story?
I had just watched the Original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and I noticed the media frenzy surrounding the visit to the factory. In the movie, Charlie as the good kid hero, and I started to think how the media covered the spoiled kids, even picturing how they would be portrayed on social media today. That was the spark, and I had the story to make these kids the heroes in the end.
Do you have a favorite scene in this novel? One that was especially fun to craft?
Well, I love my illustrator, Andy Case, and I love the job he did with Chunky Chocodoodle’s factory. I also love the wedding scene with Droodle the Poodle and Doo Doo Kidoodle.
The imagery in your book is phenomenal. What was the collaboration process like with illustrator Andy Case?
Andy is amazing. I do the story blocks and give him my vision of what I see on the pages. He just then ramps it up a bit. When he sends me the illustrations, it is like opening up presents by the Christmas tree!
Can fans look forward to another installment of the Snoodles in Space series? If so, where will it take your characters?
Yes. Andy is now working on Snoodles in Space: Escape from Zoodletraz. It is music-themed, inspired by Andy’s first album Leap of Faith. We have some fun new characters like Swift Swoodle and the DooWopadoodles, Flootle the Poodle, and the Trash Can Cats, and there are even more!

In this third instalment of the Snoodles series, the Zoodles are determined to have revenge and with the help of a grimy millionaire whose fallen on hard times, they intend to poison the Earth’s water supply and turn everyone into Willy Nilly’s and Dilly Dally’s.
Can Briana and Ricky save the Earth again? Will the outcast kids on the other side of the track rise to the challenge and help save the world?

The Classic Underdog Story
Posted by Literary-Titan
Here Come the Mice: The Jet Stream Team follows a basketball team invited to attend the Olympic Games only to find themselves lending a hand when disaster strikes the US Olympic Men’s Basketball team. Where did the idea for this story come from?
The idea for Here Come the Mice: The Jet Stream Team emerged from my passion for the Olympics and basketball. As I eagerly awaited the announcement of the 2024 team’s name, I began brainstorming my own team name. This initial idea quickly evolved into a full storyline. Inspired by the iconic “Dream Team” and “Redeem Team,” I thought the 2024 team name would follow a similar pattern. They didn’t but I did, so it’s a win-win for me.
Is there anything from your own life included in Here Come the Mice?
Yes, the Here Come the Mice series is inspired by my older brother and his experiences in a basketball summer league in Ohio. Additionally, I included myself in the story as a character on the plane with my college best friend, Milton, who is the coach for the U.S. team in the book. There are also cameos of my family throughout the story, like my wife with the blue dog in her lap.
What were some ideas that were important for you to share in this book?
It was important for me to emphasize themes of triumph and the classic underdog story, which resonates with both kids and adults. Everyone loves rooting for the underdog, and it’s a powerful reminder of perseverance and resilience. I wanted to ensure a safe and happy ending for all characters. Additionally, I aimed to draw parallels between the predicaments faced by the U.S. team and the unexpected challenges encountered by the Mice Team.
Can young readers look forward to more books from you soon? What are you currently working on?
Yes, The Underdog Collection consists of a three-book series. The first book is titled Here Come the Mice: An Underdog Story, and the second book, Space Jelly, kicks off with the main character’s love of peanut butter and jelly, then evolves into a triumphant adventure for kids and adults. All three books revolve around the underdog theme. I’m sure I’ll have another adventure for them soon.
Additionally, I have a second book series called The Mini Tales Collection by Reggie. This series features a collection of entertaining short stories with several hilarious characters inspired by my real-life family. The stories span my childhood and are written and drawn from my perspective. It’s an absolutely funny family series, and I have a new book coming out this fall called Total Chaos, showcasing the chaos, memories, and funny stories that take place in a household of eight.

In a stroke of literary brilliance, Reginald P. Howard masterfully crafts a narrative around the Mice Team’s uproarious journey. Unintentionally becoming game-changers in a larger scenario, the team not only causes a mid-air hiccup for the USA men’s basketball team but also finds themselves catapulted into a life of luxury in the City of Lights. Prepare for a sky-high adventure as the Mice, an unlikely basketball team, soar through the clouds and into the heart of the Paris 2024 Olympics. As they navigate this unexpected turn of events, they emerge not only as winners but also as unlikely heroes in the world of men’s basketball. Get ready to cheer as these underdog athletes strive for gold.

The Amazing Adventures of Mr. Mac
Posted by Literary Titan

Living with grandparents can profoundly impact children, fostering empathy, gratitude, and stronger family bonds while offering rich learning experiences. Vickilynn O’Donnell’s charming book, The Amazing Adventures of Mr. Mac, encapsulates these values through a delightful narrative centered around two loving grandparents and their serene farm life. Mr. Mac resides in a picturesque, bright yellow farmhouse surrounded by lush green grass, perfect for playing and exploring. The farm is home to a variety of endearing animals, including cows, pigs, and Mr. Mac’s faithful dog, Digs. While Mr. Mac enjoys the tranquility of farm life, it is Granny Jay Kay who diligently manages the daily chores. Together, they tend to the animals and meticulously maintain their tools, emphasizing the importance of care and organization.
O’Donnell’s storytelling is a celebration of simplicity and the joys of rural life. Her writing, characterized by melodious and succinct sentences, is ideal for young readers just beginning to read independently. The vocabulary is accessible, making the narrative both engaging and easy to follow.
The illustrations are vibrant and joyful, with characters constantly smiling and the animals depicted adorably. A notable feature is the inclusion of real photographs of the characters and animals at the end of the book, enhancing the connection between the reader and the story. Despite the book’s serene atmosphere and lack of conflict, it brilliantly underscores the value of hard work and the deep satisfaction that comes from completing tasks.
The Amazing Adventures of Mr. Mac is an excellent read for fostering a love of nature and a deep appreciation for the elderly. Vickilynn O’Donnell presents a heartwarming tale that highlights the rewards of a simple, well-organized life, making it a perfect tool for teaching children the significance of daily responsibilities and the pleasures of rest and accomplishment.
