As a mother daughter writing team it must have been a lot of fun writing together. What was the collaboration like between the two of you on this book?

It was a wonderful experience to write this book together. We collaborated from conception to completion and divided topics based on our areas of expertise. This also turned into a family project with my son Brian writing the piece on Cycling, and my other son John writing the piece on Journaling, and my son’s girlfriend Jaime writing the piece on Meditation. We all participated in the review and editing processes and that was quite helpful and exciting.

What do you find is a common misconception people have about essential oils?

I find that some people do not really understand the potential benefits and precautions of essential oils and how they should be used. For example, most should not be applied directly to the skin and there are recommended guidelines for dilution and use in aromatherapy and topically. I believe that many individuals are familiar with lavender and rose oils, however, are not cognizant of the number of essential oils. We included 20 of the most common ones but there are many more that provide myriad benefits.

Will you write more books in this field?

Although we do not have a specific book project planned at this time we do plan to do so in the future. This first book was intended as an introduction and overview of the various self-care practices and we plan to expand on these concepts and include additional topics in future books.

About Literary Titan

The Literary Titan is a book review website which consists of mostly fiction books, but we do enjoy non fiction works that we're excited about. All reviews are the reviewer’s honest opinion. We love books and read constantly (seriously, it’s an addiction). We're always open to book review requests and have aspirations of one day being sucked into the Twilight Zone episode with Burgess Meredith where all he wants to do is read, but can’t until the world ends; you know what I mean? www.LiteraryTitan.com
