The Business Artist: A Human Approach to Sales, Storytelling, and Creativity in a Data-Driven World
Posted by Literary Titan

The Business Artist challenges readers to critically examine the modern business landscape, particularly the growing role of technology and data. Adam Boggs offers a timely analysis of how business has shifted from a human-centered approach to one dominated by algorithms and efficiency metrics. By weaving together historical context, personal experiences, and contemporary trends, he paints a compelling picture of how we’ve arrived at this era of impersonal business models. This book dares readers to question long-held beliefs and consider a broader historical perspective.
Boggs blends personal anecdotes with broad business analysis, reflecting on the corporate world’s transformation into a data-driven, impersonal space. His writing is both accessible and insightful, presented with a conversational tone that makes even complex concepts relatable. Through personal stories, like his experience with the Chally test, Boggs brings authenticity and a human touch to his narrative. These anecdotes help readers empathize with his broader critiques, particularly on the increasing detachment of modern business decision-making from personal connection. The depth of research and effort Boggs invested in this book is evident. He frames ideas in a unique way, such as describing technology as the “story of business,” which enriches the reader’s understanding of modern commerce. His in-depth discussions of various aspects of business and technology are engaging and thought-provoking, prompting important questions about creativity, human interaction, and the future of work. Particularly striking is his argument that while technology and data are crucial tools, they should never replace the human element in business. This book makes a powerful case for why companies must retain a sense of artistry—creativity, adaptability, and personal engagement—if they are to succeed in today’s corporate world.
The Business Artist is a bold and slightly controversial take on contemporary business, especially in a society so focused on “technologizing” everything. Boggs skillfully blends personal experience, historical insight, and modern analysis, creating a compelling read for anyone interested in understanding the current state of business and reflecting on its future.

The Business Artist: A Human Approach to Sales, Storytelling, and Creativity in a Data-Driven World
Posted by Literary Titan

Adam Boggs’ latest book confidently asserts his place as not just a business thinker but an artist in his own right. From the opening pages, Boggs establishes that true success in business transcends rigid structures and data-driven decision-making. Instead, it flourishes through creativity, intuition, and human connection—qualities he passionately champions as the foundation of what he calls the “business artist.”
In a compelling critique of modern corporate culture, Boggs argues that an over-reliance on metrics and efficiency stifles originality, reducing businesses to mere imitators—“cover bands,” as he puts it—rather than innovators. His observations are particularly poignant when discussing significant players like Apple at a time when many companies fall into the trap of endlessly replicating past triumphs instead of nurturing fresh ideas.
Drawing heavily from the realms of music, jazz, and technology, Boggs shows how the most successful businesses, like the finest artists, create something both distinctive and emotionally resonant. The core message is simple but profound; just as jazz musicians improvise while maintaining a central theme, businesses must innovate and adapt while staying rooted in their foundational values. His reference to Miles Davis and the groundbreaking Kind of Blue album perfectly illustrates this point—true innovation doesn’t follow a formula. Boggs’ arguments are both intellectually rigorous and deeply reflective. For instance, his critique of methods like The Challenger Sale prompts the reader to rethink traditional sales strategies at a fundamental level.
The Business Artist excels in its philosophical depth, challenging readers to move beyond superficial analysis and engage with the underlying principles that drive success. Boggs’ boldness stands out. He’s unafraid to say what many might think but hesitate to voice, such as the limitations of platforms like Amazon and Spotify, which, while efficient, can create echo chambers that hinder curiosity and innovation. Despite his critiques, Boggs remains objective, offering balanced perspectives. He doesn’t merely argue against established norms. Instead, he dissects them thoroughly, providing insights into the benefits and drawbacks alike. This thoughtful exploration sets The Business Artist apart from other business books as it delves into the delicate balance between creativity and practicality in today’s data-obsessed world.
Boggs set out to write a book about business, but what he delivers is much more. The Business Artist is an insightful and thought-provoking manifesto on infusing passion, creativity, and humanity into the professional sphere. The book combines vivid metaphors with real-world examples and a sharp critique of contemporary business practices. By the end, readers are encouraged to step outside conventional lines and reconnect with the human spirit that fuels every meaningful endeavor.

Harness the Power of PR
Posted by Literary-Titan

In The Powerful Publicity Prescription, you explore the history and evolution of PR and stress the importance of purposeful PR management in business. Why was this an important book for you to write?
Many authors and entrepreneurs have come to me saying they lacked a PR resource to flip through and refer back to. I wanted to give them a resource that they could be empowered to take action with and to fill in the gap in the PR industry as much of the sector neglects and overlooks the author and entrepreneur communities.
I wanted to show authors and entrepreneurs that they too, can harness the power of PR to achieve their goals, that they deserve to fulfill their fullest potential to become global industry leaders trusted by audiences worldwide because PR isn’t just reserved for Fortune 500 companies.
In addition to giving them the history of PR and in-depth knowledge of every aspect of a PR campaign, I wanted to show them that authors and entrepreneurs in every genre and sector, just like them, have found PR success, which is why I shared my own client case studies and portfolio examples. I take it one step further by giving them tools and resources to save time and energy in every part of a PR campaign and resources to help them push past the fear, anxiety, and imposter syndrome stopping them from moving forward.
How much research did you undertake for this book, and how much time did it take to put it all together?
I started writing this book in 2022 and the draft started undergoing revisions a year later before I started working with my editor. With this book, I leaned on my client portfolio and experiences of authors and entrepreneurs I’ve worked with and presented webinars to over the last decade.
I framed the chapters of this book with a specific focus on questions my clients and audiences have had about why PR is powerful, why it’s different from advertising and social media, how mindset can stop you from moving forward, how to develop strong media pitches, and how to develop confidence with interviews.
What is a common misconception you feel people have about public relations?
A common misconception many authors have, which I address in the book, is that PR only works if you have at least $20K and an audience in the millions to launch a campaign. That myth is false, PR works for any author and entrepreneur who has a solid foundation of what their goals are, who their audiences are, and some ideas on what methods they want to incorporate into their strategies.
What is one thing you hope readers take away from your book?
That the knowledge they obtain helps them to build the confidence to take action on developing their own PR campaigns, even if it’s sitting down and brainstorming their goals.

Every Step on This Journey Matters
Posted by Literary-Titan

From Purpose to Profit is an all-in-one solution that meets the needs of busy, time-constrained professionals by offering a comprehensive repository of valuable, bite-sized information in one place for professionals to gain the knowledge needed to be successful. What inspired you to write this book and in the manner that you did?
I was in a situation where I had to carry out multiple interviews with various businesses, all of which were supported by desk research. Both provided me with a massive base for analysis.
…And the results weren’t pretty.
Lacking knowledge of strategy, misunderstanding the meaning of a brand, disengaging from research and planning, and not recognising the difference between profitability and immediate cash made it clear that strategic business illiteracy was behind most business struggles and failures.
At the same time, it made me realise that my knowledge is rather unique. Getting a self-esteem boost from their feedback and seeing my thinking perfectly aligned with HBR’s professors, I realised my thoughts and experience were worth sharing. So, I decided to create an online course, which eventually turned into a book.
The only thing I wanted was not to have my knowledge and experience wasted, as I saw evidence that people could benefit from it. I also wanted to pay tribute to the brands as they are meant to be and are undeservingly forgotten.
As a strategist, I couldn’t come up with yet ‘another’ business book. I had to create differentiation. Otherwise, I would have been a poor strategist, right? I checked other books in this genre, and what appeared to me is that:
Many exceptional marketing books are dedicated to narrowly defined topics.
Renowned professors’ marketing manuals might appear intimidating to audiences less academically inclined.
Internet-based information often offers ‘how-tos’ without ‘whys’ and lacks guidance on application.
Authority books tend to partially share the knowledge, prompting readers to uptrade to more expensive services.
So, I decided to occupy a market gap created by existing works, and that led to the concept, writing, and format.
What is a common misconception you feel people have about entrepreneurship, marketing, and business strategic planning?
Oh boy! If you thought the previous answer was long, this one risks getting even longer. Not testing your patience, I would say that, in most cases, businesses don’t understand what strategy is and how it contributes to business longevity, profitability, and fluency in running a business. …And there are another dozen reasons enumerated which may bore to death not-so-business-inclined readers of this interview.
On the plus side, strategy seems to be slowly back on trend. Companies are starting to recognise that short-term gains can hurt long-term success by neglecting innovation, employee well-being, and brand reputation. Besides, the trending VUCA thing is nothing but a cry for strategy. Changing market conditions and unforeseen challenges have always existed—nothing new! Having forgotten about strategy, we had to put VUCA on the pedestal. While with strategy, even VUCA will be less than evil.
What were some ideas that were important for you to share in this book?
Although the book is strategy-focused, I still wanted to introduce brands and business owners to a holistic approach to running a business.
Yes, since it’s a practical guide, I wanted the readers to acquire practical tools and skills and guide them through an artsy process of crafting self-selling brands that resonate with the audience.
At the same time, from my experience, tools, and skills aren’t that valuable if the mindset isn’t there. So, I wanted the readers to:
Understand the link between strategy, business longevity, and profitability.
Realise that having customer empathy is a vital part of having a profitable business.
Get introduced to my favourite ‘why’ – the rationale behind the latest business trends and top solutions so they can outshine their competition and make strategic decisions with confidence.
I also wanted to introduce a few tips here and there about how to make running a business more satisfactory and enjoyable. Unfortunately, I couldn’t cover them in detail since the guide is still about strategy and not mindset or mental health. But as Lao Tzu once said, “The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” And every step on this journey matters.
What is one piece of advice you wish someone had given you when you were starting out?
Starting out in business or starting out in writing? Either way, the best advice is first to learn what you are into. Don’t assume that you can succeed without prior knowledge. Forewarned is forearmed. Also, don’t believe everything that you hear from so-called gurus. Often, they are just to sell their services. Look for honest feedback… and you may learn that the devil is even blacker than he is painted.

The Bunch Book of Selling: How to Sell a Bunch…Not a Little
Posted by Literary Titan

Many guides on selling are penned by authors whose experience in the field is fleeting at best, often moving quickly to desk-bound roles without ever engaging directly in frontline sales. This disconnect lends a theoretical slant to their advice, lacking the nuanced understanding that comes only from firsthand experience. The Bunch Book of Selling breaks from this tradition, offering a gritty, hands-on perspective on sales. Author Bunch discards conventional academic frameworks to deliver a narrative that’s both a guide and a journey through the practicalities of seeking and engaging clients in everyday environments.
Contrary to the charming, fast-talking salesperson archetype often portrayed in films, this book promotes the importance of becoming a well-informed and respected marketing and sales specialist. It emphasizes professionalism in sales, advocating for a transformation from the stereotypical pushy salesperson to a well-organized and knowledgeable consultant. It’s this professional depth, paired with practical sales techniques, that Bunch argues for—a shift supported by detailed advice on building robust customer relationships without necessarily relying on personal rapport as a foundation.
Bunch’s writing style mirrors his approach to sales: laid-back, direct, and engaging, reminiscent of an experienced sales manager who teaches through active engagement rather than passive instruction. His conversational tone, akin to a seasoned sales pitch, invites readers to interact with the text through reflective questions and calls to action. This approach underscores the simplicity and complexity of selling, a duality Bunch navigates with a clear, jargon-free style. While Bunch eschews traditional textbooks, his methods are not without theoretical underpinnings. His practical wisdom is backed by academic theories, making this book an exemplary educational resource. Bunch excels in translating basic concepts, like communication, into actionable strategies, enhancing the book’s utility as a practical guide. Its concise format is packed with information and structured for easy comprehension and future reference.
The Bunch Book of Selling serves as both a mentor and a manual for sales professionals. Its voice embodies that of an expert mentor who guides readers through client interactions with seasoned advice and strategic insights.

Learning and Moving Forward

Rite of Passage: Transitioning from Wantrepreneur to Entrepreneur provides readers with a transformative approach to enhancing business leadership designed to increase productivity and achievement. What inspired you to write this book?
In business culture, showing fear and unconsciously exhibiting self-doubt is perceived as weakness and a lack of confidence. This can cause major problems, including customer loss or employee turnover. These emotions are rarely discussed and can lead to mental and physical health issues in addition to potential business failure. By writing Rite of Passage, I wanted to bring these unspoken challenges to the surface and offer tangible support to fellow entrepreneurs.
What is your experience in the business world, and how did it help you write Rite of Passage?
In addition to having corporate experience, I have several years of first-hand entrepreneurial experience. I co-founded a Software as a Service (SaaS) company that began with a Flipchart diagram. We went on to earn a U.S. patent, built the business from the ground up, and successfully exited in 2020. I now consult and coach entrepreneurs. Essentially, Rite of Passage is my journey, and it’s consistent with that of other entrepreneurs.
What is one piece of advice you wish you had been given when you were younger?
I tend to be hard on myself if things do not go right the first time. The one piece of advice that would have helped me as a new entrepreneur is, “It’s okay to make mistakes. It means you’re learning. However, repeating the mistake is being careless, and that’s unacceptable if you want to be successful. So, keep learning and moving forward.”
What is the next book you are working on, and when will it be available?
The next book will focus on how to establish a personal brand online. It will pick up where Rite of Passage left off. It will be a blueprint to help entrepreneurs become thought leaders by publishing thought-provoking content and getting through the online noise to connect with potential customers. The alternative is to remain the best-kept secret online.
In 2024 and beyond, LinkedIn will be your resume, your digital entity (content publication across the Internet in addition to your website) will be your portfolio, and Google Page 1 will be your business card.

I sought to share several key ideas that are essential for personal growth and success. One important concept is the idea of leveraging what you already have—your strengths, resources, and experiences—to create the life you want. I emphasized the importance of self-awareness, goal-setting, and continuous learning as foundational principles for personal development. Additionally, I stressed the significance of mindset and resilience in overcoming obstacles and achieving long-term success. To Get The Life You Want By Leveraging What You Already Have, author Valerie L. McDowell reveals that
the answer is power, and more specifically, the power to excel. And these are not just words but her philosophy, a philosophy rooted in tapping into the strength inside, where the gifts, talents, and ingenuity is on full display, boldly and unapologetically.
This book details what your life could look like when you discover how to engage your power and impact the
lives of many who never knew their stories could be so transformative.
