Complexities of Mental and Emotional Healing
Posted by Literary-Titan

Fragments of Hope: Emptying Pandora’s Box follows a shattered woman who divorces her abusive husband and sets out on a journey of self-discovery and personal empowerment. What was the inspiration for the setup of your story?
Fragments of Hope was born out of my desire to highlight the inner journey of women who escape abusive relationships. The protagonist, Pandora, embarks on a path to rediscover herself, which is deeply inspired by the struggles many women face after leaving behind a controlling partner. I wanted to capture that emotional and psychological process of reclaiming one’s identity and learning to live on her own terms.
What were some driving ideals behind your character’s development?
Pandora’s character is shaped by themes of personal empowerment and self-discovery. I wanted to explore how deeply rooted beliefs — like the ones gaslit into her by her husband — affect her sense of worth and her ability to trust herself. Throughout the story, she grows into a woman who learns to stand firm in her power and heal from the emotional scars left behind.
What were some themes that were important for you to explore in this book?
The book delves into the complexities of mental and emotional healing, empowerment after trauma, and the rediscovery of hope. Themes of motherhood, resilience, and the importance of community and support also weave through Pandora’s journey as she navigates life after an abusive relationship.
When will book two be available? Can you give us an idea of where that book will take readers?
I’m currently working on the sequel, which I expect to release in mid-2025. In book two, Pandora will continue her journey toward healing, but this time, she will face new challenges in maintaining her independence while embracing new relationships and opportunities for personal growth. The story will delve deeper into her evolving identity as a strong, self-reliant woman. You may find a teaser for book 2 in mypodcast Tangled Threads.

“Fragments of Hope” is a gripping tale of resilience and self-discovery. Pandora is trapped in a toxic marriage with David, a man who drags her into the dark world of BDSM gatherings, leaving her emotionally and mentally shattered. Her once vibrant spirit is now a collection of fragments, barely holding together under the weight of her husband’s control and the oppressive environment he thrives in.
As Pandora reaches her breaking point, she makes a courageous decision to escape the clutches of her destructive relationship. This book chronicles her journey through the tumultuous process of divorce and the challenging path to rebuild her life. Drawing on common sense, psychology, and a newfound understanding of her own values, Pandora learns to discern what is real and meaningful.
“Fragments of Hope” is not just a story of escape, but a narrative of empowerment. It’s about rejecting the passive acceptance of whatever life—or the men in it—throws your way, and instead, taking active steps to create a life aligned with your true values. Through her trials, Pandora emerges stronger, piecing together the fragments of her shattered existence into a mosaic of hope and strength.

Real-Life, Superstition, & Myth
Posted by Literary_Titan

Finding Tiegan follows a widow on a journey of Self-Discovery who makes a trip to Portugal, where she meets a man with whom she feels an unexplainable connection. What was the inspiration for the setup of your story?
I traveled to the Algarve region in Portugal and stayed in the little town of Carvoeiro, the setting of Tiegan and Tómas’s tale. Before arriving in Portugal I extensively researched the area, and had already sourced out, via Airbnb, the apartment Tiegan would rent for her three month stay. I wanted something that captured the essence of the region, and the Moorish-style building overlooking the sea was perfect. The Algarve’s stunning coastline, the friendly people, and wonderful food is something to write about.
I enjoyed the romantic relationship between Tiegan and Tomás. How did their relationship develop while you were writing it? Did you have an idea of where you wanted to take it or was it organic?
Tiegan and Tomás’s relationship naturally evolved as the story unfolded. The places I visited became crucial settings and scenes, while the voices and experiences of the people I met along the way deeply influenced the development of both characters. This blend of real-life encounters with a strong dose of superstition and myth added depth to the narrative.
This story is more than just a fast-moving romance. You bring to light different topics in the story that enhance it. What were some themes that were important for you to explore in this book?
I immersed myself in the mythology and folklore of Portugal, particularly the Roma people. My inspiration blossomed, inspired by their beliefs and superstition. Tomás’s character was crafted from those beliefs, and the story line evolved from there. Cape Breton, where Tiegan was from, boasts rich Celtic folklore, which ties in wonderfully with Tomás’s character.
What is the next book that you are working on, and when will it be available?
I’m currently tidying up the final edits of my second novel and at present have not signed with a publisher.
“Beyond the Faerie Rath,” the first installment in a magical Ireland trilogy, uncovers the ancient world of the Tuatha Dé through the eyes of the O’Donnell clan, and the three main characters, Ríaghain, Nemain and Macha. The story follows Calla Sweet (Ríaghain) as she begins a new life in a distant land. Her gift of foreseeing death has impacted her life and inheriting a property far from her past offers a fresh start. Meeting Colm O’Donnell awakens both her desires and fears as her visions and encounters with the unseen lead her to question her sanity. Unbeknownst to her, her arrival was orchestrated by her biological father, Finvarra, the King of the Faeries. Colm, enchanted by Calla, finds himself drawn to her mysterious aura and becomes entangled in a web of magical intrigue and danger as he seeks to protect her from a relentless pursuer intent on proving the existence of immortals.

Finding Tiegan
Posted by Literary Titan

Hanna Park’s Finding Tiegan skillfully weaves a tapestry of romance, mystery, and the intriguing concept of fate. The protagonist, Tiegan Moss, embarks on a transformative journey following the loss of her husband and the end of a significant relationship. Her decision to spend three months in a quaint Portuguese town, indulging in local cuisine, picturesque scenery, and nurturing her artistic talents, marks the beginning of her healing process. Upon arriving in Portugal, Tiegan encounters Tomás Ferreira, igniting a profound and unexplainable connection. Despite the undeniable attraction and a shared magnetic pull, Tomás’s enigmatic past and inner turmoil present obstacles to their budding relationship. Park explores themes of love, destiny, and the pursuit of truth as Tiegan and Tomás navigate their complex feelings for each other.
Tiegan’s character is portrayed with resilience and fearlessness, willingly confronting challenges that contribute to her personal growth. Her unwavering determination to explore the depths of her connection with Tomás, despite his intimidating aura, adds layers to her character. Tomás, contrastingly, is depicted as a character grappling with his troubled past, leading to a self-imposed restraint that complicates their relationship. The rapid progression of their romance, underpinned by the notion of destiny, offers an interesting perspective on the concept of soulmates. The narrative unfolds through alternating perspectives, allowing readers an intimate glimpse into the protagonists’ internal conflicts and emotions. As the story progresses, supernatural elements emerge, intertwining with a mysterious prophecy that hints at a deeper connection between Tiegan and Tomás. This blend of romance with paranormal aspects adds a compelling twist to the plot.
Finding Tiegan is a riveting novel that captivates readers with its blend of romance, suspense, and paranormal elements. Park masterfully balances the themes of overcoming dark pasts and embracing life, creating an engaging and thought-provoking narrative. Lovers of romance, especially those who appreciate a mix of eroticism, plot twists, and paranormal intrigue, will find this novel compelling.

Desperate for Love
Posted by Literary-Titan

Breaking Through To You follows a twenty-three-year-old woman who, after being stood up, meets a man who helps her onto a road of self-discovery and finding what she truly wants in a relationship. What was the inspiration for the setup of your story?
I wanted to write a story about a girl desperate for love and a boy desperately trying to avoid it, and then have them meet. Thus Breaking Through To You was born.
Did you plan the tone and direction of the novel before writing, or did it come out organically as you were writing?
I never outline or plan. I come up with a scene and let the story unravel as I go.
Your characters are wonderfully emotive and relatable. Were you able to use anything from your own life to inform their character development?
Bits and pieces of their lives are similar to the lives of the people I know and love. I’m an observant person, and I always pay attention to details when it comes to conversations and personalities. Much of what I write is based off of that.
What is the next book you are working on, and when will it be available?
I have a few in the works. As Far As We Knew will be available February 14, 2024. The Stowaway: Series will be available March 17, 2024. Meeting You will be available April 23, 2024 (which also happens to be my birthday)! I’m also working on a sequel for Breaking Through To You which I hope to have released by November 2024.

I Want Readers to Connect With My Characters
Posted by Literary_Titan

Overruling Judgment follows an independent and successful woman who falls in love with two brothers without knowing they were related at the start, and they all build a relationship. What was the inspiration for the setup of your story?
Like the characters in my story, I attended law school in the Chicago area. Shortly after graduating, life changed the direction of my career when my four-year-old son was diagnosed that he was going deaf. I feel that the need to adjust one’s career is something that is relatable to many people.
What was your approach to writing the interactions between characters?
I want my readers to feel that the characters are real and connect with them. My characters have intense feelings for one another but are not always perfect. I speak my dialogue aloud to ensure realism.
Are there any emotions or memories from your own life that you put into your character’s life?
Although the actions themselves differ greatly from my own life, I can strongly empathize with the emotions of regret felt by Ian, the sense of loss experienced by Sasha, and the feeling of disappointment expressed by JD
What is the next book that you are working on and when can your fans expect it to be out?
I am currently finishing the next book to follow Overruling Judgment where the story focuses on Kat, Seth, and Dylan. I hope to publish in the spring 2024.

JD’s the hot art teacher with the body and stamina of a former professional hockey player. He’s a creative master, in and out of the bedroom, who captures the affection of the brilliant young attorney, but he second-guesses if he’s enough for her.
Sasha won’t settle for less in her career or love life. It’s all or nothing. After a twist of fate and a proclamation of love, Sasha escapes choosing between Ian and JD. The alternative is far more arousing.
With careers in flux and hearts on the line, how will they all find the fortitude to come out on top?

Overruling Judgment
Posted by Literary Titan

Overruling Judgment by Liz Ellyn delves into the captivating realm of polyamory, a romance trope that has gained significant momentum in recent years. This enthralling novel aims to seize the essence of this popular trope and succeeds admirably. Our protagonist, Sasha, finds herself unexpectedly entangled in a relationship with not just one but two remarkable men. Although she never intended for this situation to unfold, circumstances lead her to inadvertently fall into this unique dynamic. The two men, JD and Ian, happen to be brothers, adding an intriguing layer of complexity to their shared connection.
The true strength of this book lies within its skillfully crafted erotic scenes. These intimate moments are depicted with great finesse, allowing the reader to vividly experience the pleasure that radiates from the pages. Moreover, the inclusion of alternate points of view adds an enriching dimension to the narrative. Through the eyes of all three main characters, readers are granted a distinctive and multifaceted perspective, further enhancing their engagement with the story. However, while Overruling Judgment excels in many aspects, it falls somewhat short in its portrayal of a polyamorous relationship. Notably, neither of the characters consciously sought out this type of relationship initially. Sasha finds herself dating both JD and Ian simultaneously, without their knowledge of each other’s involvement. The fact that they are brothers may also introduce a sense of unease for some readers. Furthermore, the book’s depiction of the character’s reactions to the relationship lacks a certain level of realism. Although a degree of skepticism is expected, the resolution of these concerns is swift and glossed over too hastily. Given more room to develop, a lengthier narrative could have allowed for a more nuanced exploration of the plot and its implications.
Despite these minor shortcomings, Overruling Judgment remains an alluring and captivating read. Its exploration of the polyamorous dynamic, coupled with the exquisitely crafted eroticism, offers readers an unforgettable journey. Liz Ellyn’s ability to bring forth the emotional and physical connections between the characters is commendable, providing a deeply satisfying reading experience. It is a book that celebrates love in all its complexities while also leaving room for growth and potential in its exploration of relationships. Fans of romance novels seeking a fresh and daring twist will undoubtedly be enthralled by this enthralling tale.

Wanda’s Tower
Posted by Literary Titan

Wanda’s Tower is an erotic novel by Robert Beatty. Meticulous and calculated, Wanda has been sure since her teenage years about what she wants to do with her life. As her sexuality suddenly awakens, she makes a detailed plan to follow: to live on the road, chasing the horizon and hopping from bar to bar, sleeping with any man that sparks her interest. With time she gets used to her highly calculated routine, leaving no trace behind her as she mysteriously departs from her lovers, leaving them with the hope of someday seeing her again. She’s determined to live life with no attachments, following her own rules, but might her lifestyle eventually, against all odds, lead her to finding the one person that will change her perspective on love for good?
Robert Beatty’s novel stands out for one main thing, and that is its highly descriptive narrative. He makes sure to give details about everything, be it things that are happening or the characters’ internal monologues: not one detail is left out. This gives a very structured storyline to the book, making it easy for the readers to immediately immerse in the world and the characters’ minds. Lots of interesting themes are explored, and one can clearly see through Wanda’s character the often times present female fantasy of living a sexually liberated life.
The story is gripping and has a good pace; there is always tension present that makes the reader want to keep reading. Though this is an erotica, various dimensions of the characters are explored apart from sex. Wanda is an unusual woman; it’s not only because of her uncharacteristic sexual nature that she lets completely free, but she also has other interests and passions and excels in a profession that’s dominated by men: electronics. A phone company technician during the day and a wanderer temptress during the night, Wanda has carefully organized her life to fully enjoy what she’s attracted to the most.
Going by many names, Wanda’s life will eventually be uprooted by a mysterious man that seems to share lots of similarities with her. She’ll have to make a decision: to accept love and welcome it into her life, or to stick to her plan of forever living on the road, pleasing herself with as many men as she can get.
Wanda’s Tower by Robert Beatty is a fun and playful erotica with intriguing characters and a compelling narrative.
