Gynarchy’s Golden Sire
Posted by Literary Titan

The story picks up in the Zhiva Legacy universe, a strange and intoxicating place where women rule absolutely, men are property, and technology blurs the line between flesh and machine. The story opens with Erin Prisco as she struggles to reconcile her new role as a Duchess in the Gynarchy with her lingering feelings for Ethan, a man now trapped in the system of control. The narrative weaves her political and personal dilemmas together with Ethan’s harrowing descent into the Institution of Male Education, where bodies and minds are broken down to be rebuilt in submission. Running alongside these arcs is the scheming of Dr. Morgana Bennett, whose obsession with revenge pushes her into darker and darker manipulations. The book also threads in flashbacks and interludes, like the Patel children’s tragic past, which add weight and scope to the wider galactic power plays. It’s equal parts political intrigue, erotic dystopia, and space opera.
I was blown away by the sheer ambition of this world. The Gynarchy feels vivid and lived-in, equal parts terrifying and fascinating. The author leans into sensory description, making scenes lush and immersive. The erotic content isn’t just window dressing. It’s tied tightly to the politics, the power, and the characters’ own battles with identity. I sometimes found myself jarred by how clinical certain scenes of control and humiliation were, almost like reading a medical report stitched into a love story. As though the intensity tipped from emotional to procedural. I admired how unflinchingly the book asked me to confront the mix of desire, shame, and survival.
Erin feels caught in a tug-of-war between vulnerability and authority, and I often sympathized with her. Ethan, meanwhile, broke my heart. His resistance against the collar’s influence felt raw and real, and I think his chapters carried the most emotional punch. Morgana, on the other hand, is larger than life in her cruelty, and while she’s a compelling villain, her obsession sometimes teetered into melodrama. What I appreciated most, though, was that none of these characters felt safe. The book thrives on tension, political, sexual, and personal, and it kept me on edge in a way I didn’t expect.
Gynarchy’s Golden Sire is a bold, confrontational, and deliberately uncomfortable book, and I think that’s its greatest strength. If you’re willing to dive into a world where power, sex, and politics are tangled in ways that are sometimes ugly and sometimes beautiful, then you’ll find something here worth wrestling with. I’d recommend it to readers who enjoy dark science fiction with erotic and psychological edges, people who want their stories to provoke as much as they entertain.

Gynarchy’s Collar
Posted by Literary Titan

In Gynarchy’s Collar, the first book in the Zhiva Legacy series, T.R. Schneider crafts a futuristic, sensual tale where gender dynamics are upended and power plays out through collar technology, political seduction, and raw emotional entanglement. The novel begins with a space expedition led by Lieutenant Ethan Drake and his crew, who are flung 200,000 years into the future and awaken in a galaxy now ruled by the Gynarchy—a matriarchal empire where men are property and emotions are often weaponized. Amid the sweeping backdrop of galactic intrigue and technological marvels, Ethan finds himself entangled in a dangerously intimate triangle with Anaisa, a brilliant engineer, and Dr. Bennett, a calculating psychologist with dark designs of her own. As passion meets submission and politics slips between the sheets, survival hinges on loyalty, vulnerability, and the cost of surrender.
The writing often walks a tightrope between lush and lurid, sometimes dipping into camp, but it works. Schneider isn’t afraid to lean into the drama, and that boldness kept me flipping pages late into the night. The world-building is ridiculously imaginative. Cryogenic sleep cycles, neural dampeners, collar-based control systems—these aren’t just sci-fi gimmicks, they’re woven into the emotional core of the story. Ethan’s internal war between duty and desire struck a chord with me. He’s a character who starts out commanding and composed, only to be slowly and methodically unraveled. And Anaisa is the heart of the book. Fierce, brilliant, but haunted. Her slow dance between empowerment and submission made her feel utterly real. And then there’s Dr. Bennett—seductive, sadistic, and absolutely terrifying in the best way. I hated her. I feared her. I was riveted by her.
At times, the eroticism felt heavy, and the psychological games Bennett plays, though chilling, sometimes strayed into over-the-top villainy. Still, I admired how Schneider used sensuality not just for heat, but to explore identity, control, and the ways trauma clings to us in unexpected ways. The prose flits between stark, almost clinical observation and poetic sensuality, which kept me off-balance, in a good way. The story thrives on tension, and the love triangle is both steamy and agonizing. I felt the ache of their choices, the way intimacy gets twisted in the gravity of power. And that final moment of self-doubt Ethan experiences stuck with me. It’s rare for a sci-fi novel to leave me feeling so bruised and breathless.
Gynarchy’s Collar is not for the faint of heart. It’s erotic, intense, and unapologetically subversive. But if you’re drawn to stories that blend sci-fi spectacle with intimate human messiness, and if you’re into high-concept world-building with sharp emotional stakes, this one’s worth your time. I’d recommend it to fans of The Expanse, Dune, and Fifty Shades of Grey. It’s a rare cocktail: space opera meets dark romance with a psychological edge.

We’re All Connected

Beyond Reality’s Edge – Volume 1 follows an author on her way to a career-defining meeting who accidentally steps into a portal, landing her in a new world based on a cult-favorite sci-fi show she knows well. What was the inspiration for the setup of your story?
I just had a thought one day, and it intrigued me. It was during the “what if” phase that was going on a few years back, and I had the thought, what if I could pick any reality to be transported to, what would it be? I immediately knew the answer (I can’t tell you because it might spoil the story for some folks, but I can tell you it was a sci-fi show from back in the day), but then a bunch of different questions arose from there … like, if that really happened, what would it be like? How would I react, especially with knowledge of future events? Would it even be the same reality I knew or one of their multiverses? And so forth. Basically, it started off as a piece of fan fiction that I had no intention of publishing, but then it grew into something much, much more. Something … other.
Are there any emotions or memories from your own life that you put into your characters’ lives?
I put a lot of myself into the story because I went off of how I would react and be in that situation. So, yeah … there’s a LOT of me in it, my personality, traits, quirks, reactions, and so forth.
What were some themes that were important for you to explore in this book?
How the smallest thing can affect others in a large way. How a person’s choices resonates and reverberates to those around them, in both good and bad ways. That we’re all connected, and we all matter.
What will the next book in that series be about, and when will it be published?
The series is complete and available. I waited until it was finished to publish it, because I hate to start something, not knowing whether or not the author will follow through and complete it. I didn’t want to put my readers in that position, especially since Volume 1 leaves off on a cliffhanger. Volume 2 picks up from there … but fair warning, that’s just the beginning of her story. There’s lots more to it, that even she doesn’t know about yet. It’s a journey, full of twists and turns in unexpected directions in unexpected ways. I hope the reader enjoys the journey as much as I enjoyed writing it!

Beyond Reality’s Edge
Posted by Literary Titan

Breanna stands on the verge of a career-defining moment. For any author, having a book adapted for the big screen is the ultimate dream. All she needs to do is make it to her meeting. But fate intervenes in an unexpected twist—she accidentally steps into a portal and lands in another world. Not just any world, though. Breanna finds herself de-aged and transported into Gateway to Infinity, a cult-favorite sci-fi show that captivated fans for five seasons before ending years ago. Suddenly embedded in the show’s narrative, she’s thrust into the middle of a high-stakes conflict between the main cast and their formidable enemies, the Threnarians. While her intimate knowledge of the plot gives her an edge, the enemies seem intent on rewriting the story, leaving her scrambling to adapt.
In Beyond Reality’s Edge by B. A. Chapman, readers follow Breanna’s thrilling journey as she navigates a world that once only existed on-screen. Alongside the beloved cast, she must fight to survive in a story that keeps shifting under her feet. The narrative is both engaging and imaginative, blending sci-fi adventure with a unique twist of meta-awareness. Breanna’s insider knowledge of the show’s events adds a fascinating layer to the story, allowing her to influence outcomes in ways that feel fresh and compelling. Watching her reshape the narrative while interacting with her favorite characters offers a delightful twist for fans of the genre.
This book is a must-read for sci-fi enthusiasts and romance lovers alike. The plot flows seamlessly, keeping readers hooked from start to finish. The characters are likable and easy to connect with, making it a joy to journey through the story with them. One area that could have used more depth, however, is the relationship between Breanna and her love interest, Rylo Dax. Their connection develops at lightning speed, which feels rushed given the promise of an ongoing series. A bit more time spent building their bond would have enriched the romantic subplot.
That said, the pacing of the main story remains tight and well-executed. Every twist and turn kept me eagerly anticipating what would happen next. The premise feels refreshingly original, and Chapman’s writing delivers a unique blend of nostalgia and innovation. I’m excited to see where Breanna’s journey leads in future installments and can’t wait to dive back into this inventive universe.

TAQUOMA
Posted by Literary Titan

Kevin D. Miller’s Taquoma is an electrifying journey through a world on the brink of volcanic catastrophe. It follows Yara Del Rey, a committed volcanologist who finds herself entangled in a perilous mission to prevent a cataclysmic Yellowstone eruption. As the planet’s molten fury threatens to erupt, Yara fights against the clock to protect her daughter—and humanity—from certain devastation.
Miller excels at blending scientific realism with heart-pounding fiction. He paints a scenario so convincing it feels like a genuine threat, making you wonder just how fragile our world is. The characters are rich and relatable, each with their own emotional weight, drawing you deeper into the story. And the suspense? It’s relentless. Miller’s descriptions of volcanic chaos are breathtaking and terrifying, leaving you in awe of nature’s raw power.
The novel isn’t just about action and thrills, though. Beneath the explosive narrative, Miller explores crucial themes like environmental responsibility, the dangers of unchecked human ambition, and the unbreakable bonds of love and perseverance. It’s a fast-paced adventure, but it makes you think, too—about the world we live in and how precariously we treat it.
Taquoma is perfect for anyone who loves a high-stakes disaster thriller or simply enjoys a wild adventure with depth and meaning. It’s intense, thought-provoking, and will leave you on the edge of your seat, rooting for Yara until the very last page. If you’re in the mood for a gripping, explosive read that keeps you invested from start to finish, this one delivers in every way.

Not All Villains are Evil
Posted by Literary_Titan

Light in the Abyss follows the crew of a space frigate who are on a mission to recover a stolen artifact from an alien. What was the inspiration for the setup of your story?
I took my inspiration from the broad tradition of swashbuckling adventure, where the “villain” isn’t necessarily evil, but merely working in opposition to the establishment – as if our heroes were fighting Robin Hood or Aladdin.
I liked the idea of a mastermind thief whom our heroes must match their wits against as much as their swords or cannons – but the thief is also from another species, so there’s a whole new level of complexity. The mission itself is straight-forward: recover the stolen artifact. But having an intelligent, cunning, alien adversary allows for many twists and turns.
There was a lot of time spent crafting the character traits in this novel. What was the most important factor for you to get right in your characters?
My characters are very important to me, so my immediate instinct is to answer “everything”. But kidding aside, what I really want to aim for in my characters is balance. The swashbuckling genre has a long history of heroic men and damsels in distress, and I want to ensure that none of my characters fall into these stereotypes. The men are still heroic, but they’re also kind, thoughtful and mostly humble. The women occasionally still need rescuing, but they’re all strong, intelligent, brave and have agency. I respect each one of my characters and I want to give them, in their own way, the best chance to shine.
I find the world you created in this novel brimming with possibilities. Where did the inspiration for the setting come from, and how did it change as you were writing?
I started with the real scientific idea of solar sails, whereby we could propel spaceships toward the outer planets by riding on the “solar wind” that pushes away from the sun. But I realized immediately that this wouldn’t be very interesting in a solar system like ours, where the solar wind only flows in one direction (outward) so I imagined what it might be like in a dense star cluster. All the solar winds from the tightly packed suns would interact with each other, creating currents, storms, etc., which our heroes would need complex sailing ships to navigate. From there I started to imagine a society where civilization was focused in toward the densely packed stars of the Hub, but out in the sparser stars of the Halo, adventure awaits.
It was fun to use the 18th century Age of Sail motif as a starting point for my world-building, although I knew immediately that the racism and sexism of those days had no place in my writing. Introducing the tension between the nobles and commoners helped to fuel early sources of conflict, and having intelligent alien species allowed for the existential threat needed to fuel the need for a powerful space navy.
What will the next book in that series be about, and when will it be published?
The next book in the series is going to bring the Sectoid military threat back to the foreground, and it’s also going to delve deeper into the politics of the aristocracy. And for fans of Sublieutenant Charlotte Brown, she’s going to have a chance to shine.
The release date hasn’t been set yet, but I’ve heard it’s going to be late 2025. I have about 10,000 words downrange so far – I guess I better get cracking.

Survival and the Will to Live
Posted by Literary-Titan

The Edge of Life follows two individuals fleeing Seattle who manage to find love once more as they navigate the myriad of dangers accompanying an asteroid that threatens Earth. Where did the idea for this novel come from?
The main idea came from reading online about Vivos xPoint in South Dakota. It’s a decommissioned military base with underground bunkers that they sell as “cabins.” During the early days of the pandemic, they sold like hotcakes. I thought they looked interesting and read more on their website about how the location was intentional, too far from an important city to be a target of a nuclear attack, away from the tectonic activity of the Ring of Fire, and beyond the Yellowstone blast zone. It was somewhere safe.
This made me decide that a global catastrophe would send my characters on a cross-country road trip as society crumbled around them.
What was your approach to writing the interactions between your characters?
I wanted it to be believable that in the face of danger, Kat and Ryan could find the good in themselves, each other, and the world, despite the chaos. I wanted to include simple moments that were sweet and intimate, so they could get to know one another and be vulnerable.
What were some themes that were important for you to explore in this book?
Friendship
Acceptance
Survival and the will to live
Beauty
Courage
Love
What is the next book you are working on, and when will it be available?
I am doing the final line edits for the sequel to The Edge of Life: Love and Survival During the Apocalypse, called Aftermath: Into the Unknown. It takes place three years after the first story and is another road trip to Vita xTerra (my fictional bunker based on the real one). The FMC is looking for her uncle who was a minor character in the first book. It will be published December 19th, 2024.
The third book in the series (Love and Survival #3) is in the planning stage and will take place a few years after Aftermath and is set in the bunker city. The characters in the first two books will be featured, though they will not be the main focus.
I have two additional books being published in 2025, the third and final installment in my Train Hoppers series for April and an all-new sports romance, Racing Towards Destiny (series name: Love on Track) about a woman who abandons her old life, moves to Europe, and takes a job working with professional motorcycle racers on the MotoGP circuit.

Warned that a planet-killing asteroid is on a collision course with Earth, acquaintances Kat and Ryan join forces in an effort to survive. Mere hours before impact, they race toward the safety of Ryan’s inherited South Dakota bunker, encountering chaos. A last-ditch effort to nuke the asteroid only manages to fragment it into chunks causing multiple strikes.
Earthquakes, fire, and volcanic ashfall assail Kat and Ryan, who turn to each other for solace. Kat finds someone kind who values her differences and Ryan finds himself falling for Kat’s pluck and quick-thinking. Though jaded, they learn to trust and rely on one another.
Attempting to survive the onslaught of their new world, Kat and Ryan must reach the bunker before imminent food shortages and catastrophic climate change cause society to further unravel.
The Edge of Life shows that survival can include falling in love. With steamy romance and non-stop action, this is one thrilling apocalypse road trip you shouldn’t miss.

The Edge of Life: Love and Survival During the Apocalypse
Posted by Literary Titan

The Edge of Life, by Lena Gibson, masterfully intertwines romance and survival as it follows Kat and Ryan, two individuals hardened by past relationships, who find love amidst the apocalypse. With a planet-killing asteroid hurtling toward Earth, they flee from Seattle to a bunker in South Dakota, navigating through earthquakes, fire, and volcanic ashfall. As society disintegrates around them, they encounter both allies and adversaries, making their journey as perilous as it is profound.
From the outset, the narrative kept me intrigued, uncertain of its direction, which is a testament to Gibson’s storytelling prowess. Nick, Kat, and Ryan’s mutual friend play an instrumental role in their initial connection. The evolving dynamics between Kat and Ryan captivated me as they transformed into characters driven by a renewed will to live despite the chaos surrounding them.
The sudden emergence of romance and intimacy between Kat and Ryan added an exciting twist to the story, enhancing the overall narrative without overshadowing it. While the story rightly centers on Kat and Ryan, Nick’s fate and his partner’s story sparked my curiosity, adding an extra layer of intrigue. This element did not detract from the core narrative, which remained focused and engaging throughout. The author’s writing style is accessible and immersive, allowing readers to delve deeply into the characters’ thoughts and feelings without ambiguity. Gibson excels in creating obstacles that compel her characters to confront their fears and emotions, ensuring their journey is anything but easy. This depth added a layer of realism and kept me invested in their survival.
The Edge of Life is a compelling read that combines the thrill of apocalyptic survival with a touching romance. Lena Gibson’s ability to balance action with emotional growth makes this novel a must-read for fans of both genres.
