I Will Dance Across the Morning Sky
Posted by Literary Titan

I Will Dance Across the Morning Sky is a moving collection of poems that invites readers into a world of introspection, longing, and raw emotion. The book’s essence lies in its exploration of human connection, loss, and the quest for meaning in moments of despair. Each poem in this book weaves together imagery and sentiment in a way that feels both deeply personal and universally relatable, creating a tapestry of experiences that resonate with the soul.
Simplicity masks complexity here. The language, deceptively straightforward, acts as a vessel for profound emotion. A simple line can explode with meaning. Take, for example, the image of “a heart dancing across broken glass.” It’s a vivid portrayal of pain mingling with hope, resilience intertwined with fragility. This line alone haunts us, refusing to leave our thoughts, much like the struggles we all face. The poems tackle heavy subjects such as grief and loneliness, yet they do so with a sincerity that feels unforced, making the experience refreshingly authentic.
Connection, or its painful absence, sits at the core of this book. A particular poem lingers in the mind, depicting two people sitting together in silence, yet a chasm exists between them. That stark portrayal of isolation, even in company, strikes a nerve. It’s not just about what’s written; it’s about what isn’t. The spaces, the silences, resonate as loudly as the words themselves. The themes are beautifully rendered, and the exploration of love and loss treads familiar ground. It is worth noting that there were times I yearned for a twist or a fresh perspective. The steady tone and consistent themes offer exactly the kind of solace some readers seek, a stable anchor in a turbulent world.
I Will Dance Across The Morning Sky leaves its mark. It’s a collection that reaches out to those of all ages who need a voice in the silence, a companion in their pain. For anyone grappling with life’s hardships, or simply searching for a piece of writing that speaks to the heart, this book offers solace. It’s easy to consume, but its impact lingers, making it not just a collection of poems, but an experience to be felt deeply.

Torment – A Harper Jones Novel
Posted by Literary Titan

In the quiet town of Wolf Hollow, Alison Newton’s grave is desecrated in the dead of night. Detective Harper Jones, still haunted by the unsolved murder of his former partner, Anders, is called upon to investigate. The scene is eerily familiar, dragging Harper back to the brutal events surrounding Alison’s original murder, where Anders had lost his life. As Harper digs deeper, old memories resurface, and he begins to suspect a chilling connection between these violent crimes, separated by time. Could a serial killer be lurking in the shadows of this seemingly peaceful town?
Jeffrey Butler’s Torment skillfully combines the intensity of a crime thriller with the allure of a psychological mystery. The novel’s cat-and-mouse chases are interwoven with a foreboding atmosphere, drawing readers into a world where danger and suspense simmer beneath the surface. From the very first page, the plot grips the audience, opening at a harrowing crime scene and unrelentingly pulling them into a web of intrigue. Butler’s vivid analogies and sharp descriptive prose reflect the twisted mind of the criminal, amplifying the tension. The narrative deftly alternates between Detective Jones and the perpetrator, offering a dual perspective that adds complexity and depth to the story as it unfolds. The gradual layering of clues and perspectives keeps readers enthralled, as each new piece of the puzzle pushes the plot toward its chilling climax. Butler’s ability to maintain suspense while deepening the mystery ensures that Torment is both captivating and satisfying, especially for those who love piecing together crime thrillers.
For fans of gripping crime fiction, Torment delivers on every front. It offers not only the thrill of solving a case but also the emotional depth of a detective grappling with personal loss. Jeffrey Butler has crafted a must-read that keeps readers guessing until the very end. If you’re ready to walk in Harper Jones’ shoes and confront the dark truths of Wolf Hollow, this book will not disappoint.

Crossroads of Empire
Posted by Literary Titan

Crossroads of Empire dives into the tumultuous waters of World War I, presenting a thrilling narrative enriched by a blend of historical and fictional characters. The story follows Evan Sinclair, a young man thrust into the global conflict, whose journey from France to the strategic depths of the Middle East unveils a panorama of espionage, imperial ambitions, and the cultural crossroads that define the era. With the Middle East as a pivotal battleground for control over key resources like the Suez Canal and oil reserves, Cooper intricately maps the convergence of history and personal saga, underlining the lasting impact of wartime decisions on today’s geopolitical landscape.
Michael J. Cooper’s writing is compelling and richly detailed, offering a tapestry of scenes that bring early 20th-century conflicts vividly to life. His ability to intertwine factual historical events with the personal fates of both real and imagined characters allows the narrative to flow seamlessly between action and introspection. The portrayal of Kaiser Wilhelm II’s complex personality and his obsessions with Jerusalem provides a fascinating glimpse into the psyche of a ruler whose decisions shaped the course of history. The inclusion of characters like Aaron Aaronsohn and T.E. Lawrence adds layers of authenticity and intrigue, enhancing the novel’s exploration of loyalty, betrayal, and the harsh realities of war.
While the intricate descriptions of settings and historical context are generally a boon for the narrative’s richness, I think they can sometimes bog down the pacing, especially during crucial transitions between significant plot points. Nonetheless, Cooper’s fantastic character development ensures that readers remain engaged, rooting for individuals caught in the machinations of empires.
Crossroads of Empire is a blend of historical fiction and detailed storytelling that offers readers a window into a pivotal time in world history. Michael J. Cooper’s work is highly recommended for its educational value and its ability to entertain, making it a suitable read for both history buffs and fans of intricately plotted narratives.

2024: Attack on America
Posted by Literary Titan

2024 Attack on America is an action-packed techno-thriller that dives into the world of cyber warfare, government secrets, and espionage. The plot follows Gabriel Brinkerhoff as he navigates a crisis involving hackers, leaked intelligence, and global cyber threats. Throughout the story, Gabriel interacts with world leaders, military officials, and even supercomputers as he works to unravel a conspiracy threatening national security. The novel uses real-world technology and touches on themes of privacy, governmental overreach, and the ethical dilemmas inherent in national defense.
One of the strengths of Sasha Zarustin’s book is its almost breathless momentum. Zarustin keeps the reader engaged with frequent plot twists and a sense of urgency that rarely lets up. For example, Gabriel’s race against time to expose hackers using VPN breaches and the manipulation of social media algorithms keeps the tension high. The dialogue is sharp and feels authentic, whether in the Oval Office or among tech moguls.
The novel also leans into a particular masculine bravado, which feels over-the-top at times, but some readers may appreciate these more intimate asides in an otherwise gripping thriller. On the other hand, Zarustin does a great job portraying the intricacies of modern technology and its potential for manipulation. His exploration of social media as a tool for mind control, as explained by the character Demiurge is fascinating and chilling. The book’s detailed analysis of cyber-attacks and the vulnerability of infrastructure makes the story feel real even when the characters venture into somewhat implausible heroics. Gabriel’s reflections on cyber warfare and the ethical consequences of whistleblowing add depth to an otherwise action-driven story.
The co-plot dives more into Gabriel’s personal life, his emotional struggles and often raw interpersonal relationships. This aspect of the story contrasts sharply with the techno-thriller elements and gives the novel an introspective and existential layer. These scenes, which are marked by frank dialogue, everyday tensions and moments of self-reflection, evoke a Bukowski-esque tone as they explore masculinity, disillusionment, and the messiness of life in a more grounded way.
2024 Attack on America is a fast-paced read that will appeal to fans of political thrillers and anyone looking for a good cyber warfare story. Its action-packed narrative offers a compelling look at the dark side of technology and the fragile balance between national security and privacy.

Journey of Seven Circles
Posted by Literary Titan

Journey of Seven Circles by Russell Pike tells the story of Kryn, a soul warden who has devoted his life to the wellbeing of others. Whether serving as a medic on the battlefield or pursuing scholarly endeavors in times of peace, Kryn is steadfast in his commitment to his path. However, like everyone around him, he knows better than to delve into magic—something believed to corrupt those who dare explore it. But when he crosses that dangerous line in a desperate bid to save lives, he discovers there may be no turning back from the power he has uncovered, nor from the consequences it brings.
The novel masterfully weaves together Kryn’s present-day struggles with his magical task and flashbacks that reveal the decisions and circumstances that shaped him. This dual narrative structure adds a layer of complexity and intrigue, allowing readers to gradually piece together his story while contrasting the two very different stages of his life. The transitions between past and present are seamless, and Pike’s ability to balance these two timelines keeps the narrative engaging and full of suspense. The world-building is equally compelling, rich with mystery and depth that enhances the overall experience without ever overshadowing the main plot. What stood out to me was the completeness of the story. Nothing felt lacking or rushed. Kryn is a deeply compelling narrator, guiding the reader through moments of high-stakes action and quieter, more introspective problem-solving. Pike excels in creating tension and conflict but also allows space for reflection and strategy, which gives the story a satisfying balance. The pacing never falters, and the mix of action and contemplation enriches the plot, adding layers of complexity without dragging down the narrative.
For fans of fantasy and magic, Journey of Seven Circles is a must-read. Russell Pike has crafted a well-written, captivating story, with Kryn at its heart—a character who is both relatable and intriguing. I eagerly anticipate what Pike will offer in his future works, and I would highly recommend this novel to anyone seeking an immersive fantasy experience filled with adventure, mystery, and a touch of magic.

ShadowBane
Posted by Literary Titan

ShadowBane, by Cal Logan, is an enthralling journey set in the backdrop of feudal Japan, melding the essence of historical authenticity with the allure of fantasy. The narrative follows the lives of Shura and Jin, twins bound not only by blood but by their role as formidable demon hunters in the realm of Tankikoku. Tasked by King Migataro, they confront the chilling threats of creatures like the chunari and kimengani, weaving a tale of courage and perseverance.
Logan’s portrayal of Shura, enhanced by her symbiotic relationship with her white tiger, Feng, adds a unique dimension to the storyline. The novel adeptly intertwines the duo’s relentless battles against demonic forces with their personal struggles, painting a vivid picture of warriors caught between duty and desire for peace. Employing a third-person narrative, the story oscillates between the perspectives of Shura and Jin, offering insights into their hardened exteriors shaped by their daunting experiences. This perspective shift deepens the reader’s understanding of their internal conflicts, enhancing the narrative’s complexity.
ShadowBane skillfully integrates elements of political intrigue into its core theme of demon hunting, presenting a rich tapestry of tension and conflict. The rivalry between King Oda and King Migataro adds a layer of political complexity, further entangling the twins in a web of diplomacy and war. As the story progresses towards its climax, the inevitability of a clash between the kings becomes apparent, placing Shura and Jin in a precarious position within a kingdom teetering on the brink of war.
The novel’s meticulously crafted battle scenes, coupled with an undercurrent of suspense, underscore its literary merit. Character development is another of Logan’s strong suits, with each persona evolving meaningfully throughout the narrative. This aspect, combined with the novel’s rich setting and blend of historical and fantastical elements, makes ShadowBane a compelling read for fans of epic fantasy and Japanese history alike. Its intricate plot and well-developed characters are sure to engage readers, offering a captivating escape into a world where legends come to life.

Does the End Justify the Means?
Posted by Literary_Titan

The Conflagration follows a man faced with the task of saving the universe from an adversary who realizes things are more complex than anticipated. What was the inspiration for the setup of your story?
The Book of Job from the Bible – The MC, Milo Sapphire, knows he’s the principal in a contest between Deity and Deity’s Adversary. I thought it would be really cool for Milo to take the ultimate risk and see how far he can push supposedly “all powerful” forces. After all, he’s got nothing to lose, right?
Discovering the actual limitations of omnipotence opens up many interesting areas to explore in subsequent books.
How has character development for Milo Saphire changed for you through the series?
Milo struggles with the exercise of power throughout the series. Just because he can, does that mean he should? Just because his friends and allies want him to exercise that power, is it still the right thing to do? What are his absolutes? Can they be changed? If the situation is desperate enough; does the end then justify the means? Can absolutes be prioritized? Is there a rank order? What is the extent of his “noblesse oblige” to the people who will be affected by his actions, both good and bad? And how does that fit into the life he lives as the leader of the Tribes with their “kill or be killed” societal structures?
He’s already walked away from everything once because he didn’t like who he became to survive and thrive. What would it take for him to do it again?
How did you balance the action scenes with the story elements and still keep a fast pace in the story?
In creating the milieu and the zeitgeist of the series, I ask myself, “what does everyone ‘know’ about a topic? What’s ‘common knowledge’?” It’s a big, complicated universe out there; lots of people doing lots of things. What’s the minimum amount of information needed to advance the plot? Will the inclusion of the story element advance the action? Is it an interesting enough thread to include and maybe just let dangle in the breeze of the plot rushing by? I love the reaction of “Hey wait, what was that? Oh never mind, the next bit’s already happening.”
I want my readers to have enough structure to recognize they’re on the roller coaster climbing to the top right before that first big drop. But not so much description of the blurry landscape flashing by that they get pulled out of the experience of the 90 degree corkscrew turn.
And who knows, something peripheral to today’s story, that dangling thread getting whipped in the breeze, may come into greater focus down the road. There’s definitely more than one roller coaster rattling around in my brain.
What is the next book that you are working on and when will it be available?
The next book is “The Promise of the Inang”. It should see the light of day in the latter half of 2025.

Milo Sapphire was once an itinerant starship captain.
Now he’s the CEO of Interstellar Products.
And the First of the Tribes.
And the Chosen of the Most High. (he really loves this one)
He’s supposed to be working on saving the Universe against the Adversary, just not sure how.
And there’re a few complications (because, why not?).
The Emperor of the Mercantile Empire is missing.
The Privy Council is installing an Interim Emperor, because that always works.
The STM network, the most advanced communication system ever devised, is broken.
Something is extinguishing stars where STM nodes are located. (That’s why it’s broken.)
The Imperial Senate is clamoring for someone to do something about the stars going dark. Or, at least, have someone to blame.
The leader of the Senate is just a hardworking elected representative of his planet, trying to take advantage of the crisis.
Oh, and a Princess of Tyrol has been abducted.
Hang on, it’s gonna be a bumpy ride!

A Lifetime With a Great Dog is a Gift
Posted by Literary_Titan

The Human Canine Connection is a comprehensive guide that delves deep into the intricacies of building and nurturing the bond between humans and their canine companions. Why was this an important book for you to write?
I have always thought, “No one writes a book unless they have something to say.” This statement is especially true of my book, “The Human Canine Connection: Enriching Your Life by Loving Your Dog.”
I think it’s because I believe in unconditional love and lifelong companionship. A lifetime with a great dog is a gift. In this book, I emphasize that dogs are like family.
However, many people may want to avoid interacting with dogs. I can respect that perspective, too.
However, if dog ownership is a precious gift with many benefits, we should consider it, especially at the psychological and emotional levels. For instance, nothing is more comforting than having my 120-pound Akbash Pup lay at my feet while I sit at my desk to write the responses to these questions. Over time, this shared relationship between a human and a canine is profound, even for life.
This thought might seem trivial or even familiar, but is it accurate? Do we often overlook or even take humans’ relationship with dogs for granted? Canine Trainers refer to this intimacy as a “Bluetooth Connection,” which is fundamental to nurturing a healthy relationship with a dog. Rather than dismiss the reality of these priceless moments, I wrote a book about this dynamic so that people might see and hear how dog ownership enriches and benefits both species during our limited time on this planet.
I hope readers walk away with hope and gratitude as current dog owners and the possibilities that come with adopting their first canine kid. Regardless of the breed or the animal’s temperament, which can seem daunting initially, I have a book that offers the dog ownership community hope that makes life simpler yet mutually enriching.
What were some ideas that were important for you to share in this book?
As I stated on the back cover of my book, “Life is a tapestry of unique experiences, some of which we can only hope to capture in a lifetime. As I began creating “The Human Canine Connection,” I delved deep into my unique experiences and reflections on dog ownership. The truth is that perfection is a myth. Yet, many of us strive to provide the best home for our canine companions. This book is a practical guide, a living collection of stories, research, and articles from everyday dog owners like you and me. It’s a resource for dog ownership and positive pet care guidance. I hope you, the reader, will cherish the precious moments with your furry friend today. Remember, we only get one chance to raise a great canine kid.”
What is a common misconception you feel people have about dog training?
Humans often forget that dogs are emotional creatures. Like any emotions people have, dogs need their master to identify and address them. Therefore, Chapter One: Decoding Dog Behaviour is essential. However, this discipline requires a dog owner to know himself. What are his fears and challenges, and what makes him feel secure as a human? If humans can harness this principle, dogs can mature, be healthy, and be safe in their environment.
What is the next book that you are working on, and when will it be published?
My latest work is a book I just published. It is a Christian Book titled “The Divine Initiative and The Human Response.” Much like this book on understanding the relationship between canines and humans, this Christian read addresses the relationship humans can share with God through faith in Jesus Christ. The book identifies the human need for God, community, and creation, a profound reality revealed to the human race through the holy scriptures of the Bible.
