Survival of the Fittest
Posted by Literary-Titan
Dying of Lassitude and Ennui is a striking collection of prose poems that confronts a multitude of personal and political themes with unflinching bluntness. Why was this a bucket-list item for you to publish before you die?
I’m 77 years old now; I could live another 20 years or be gone tomorrow this is a matter of personal importance to me. Trying to get a toehold in the American poetry publishing world is every British writer’s dream because the scene in the UK is dead from the neck up. It’s riddled with class snobbery and a ‘closed shop’ mentality.
What were some ideas that were important for you to share in this book?
I don’t have specific ideas or aims. A lot of my work is autobiographical due to the extraordinary level of social isolation and loneliness I’ve had to live with due to being severely sight-impaired. I’ve been shown very little human kindness and compassion during my long life as an Englishman born and bred. The British mentality appears to be the survival of the fittest and the devil takes the hindmost. I’ve managed to stay alive this long by getting clued up and street wise at an early age.
What is one piece of advice you wish someone had given you when you were younger?
I wish I’d known when I was younger how to take care of my physical and mental health and learned how to love myself and to not try and drink myself to death and not take mind-altering substances. All I’ve ever wanted is love and happiness and all I’ve ever had is heartache and misery and hardly any good luck at all.
What do you hope is one thing readers take away from your collection of poetry?
Whatever they want to, I suppose. I’m no saint; I’ve suffered for my art and now I’d like to reap some recognition and financial reward for it. I’d love to be rich and famous before I die. It’s not rocket science, just plain old human desire and ambition and a hope that I might still find love before I return to the void from whence I came.

I’m an old man of nearly 77 years of age but I’m still young at heart. Publishing this collection is the last ‘to do’ item to be ticked off on my bucket list. When I die, I won’t be missed by anyone except myself.
If there is an afterlife I’ll find my paradise there, if not it truly is ‘Game over.’

Social Commentary About Conditioned Behaviors
Posted by Literary-Titan
God is an Atheist is a provocative collection of poems that delves into the complexities and contradictions of faith, humanity, and the institutions that govern them. What was the inspiration for the setup of your story?
Although I didn’t wake up one day and say, “God is an Atheist,” this collection came about by observing a lot of hypocrisy among the righteous – and those pretending to be righteous…and that probably goes back to 1966 when the congregation of the Steubenville (Kentucky) Baptist Church displayed attitudes that didn’t align with their values when they interacted with my divorced mother – and did not welcome me or my sisters into the flock’s fold. But it is not an esoteric micro-aggression collection – it is not a personal vendetta collection against the church; it is more of a social commentary about conditioned behaviors that don’t champion the church. In a way, God is an Atheist is very much a work that is pro-church.
What were some ideas that were important for you to share in this collection?
Hypocrisy is the first step to becoming an infidel.
It was difficult to escape the current social conditions when flags are flapping in your face off the backs of pick-up trucks and bibles are being used as props to gain political support from people who know better – again, hypocrisy was a driving theme behind GiaA. Conservative Republicans drive Buicks (it used to be Cadillacs!), and think they are on the highway to Heaven – but an American flag decal won’t get you into Heaven anymore (John Prine said that), and Jesus fed, comforted, and cleaned the feet of too many people to be a Conservative Republican – he had to be a liberal! So he would have driven a 1959 Plymouth Fury (maybe a Chrysler Imperial after resurrection, but still)…with the big fins! – and given people rides to where they needed to go.
What do you hope is one thing readers take away from your collection of poetry?
When I sign these books for readers, I simply say “Don’t think like me…Just think!” It’s a book that challenges people (I hope) to think and pay attention to the world they want to have controlled by other people (and governments…and churches) when they have the capacity to control it for themselves if only they would claim the volition and personal will to power – instead of praying against God’s Will…prayers keep asking for things (God bless America, for instance) instead of people seeing the results of God’s Will…is it possible to praise and worship God’s Will when you keep praying to have it changed?
What is the next book that you are working on, and when can your fans expect it to be out?
The galley-proof for I Felonites: First Letter to the Felonites is being reviewed today! As you might imagine by the title, it is a politically minded chapbook…so it should be out by the late summer (August/September). I also have 20 other collections (or so) that I finally typed up that are ready to shop around!

Through vivid imagery, sharp critique, and personal testimony, author Benjamin B. White challenges traditional beliefs and invites readers on a journey of introspection and reflection.
A fearless critique of organized religion. White interrogates the hypocrisy, intolerance, and violence that have often been perpetrated in the name of faith, exposing the stark contrast between religious ideals and institutionalized practices. The poet’s unflinching examination of historical injustices, including colonialism and genocide, forces readers to confront uncomfortable truths about the darker aspects of their own lives.
‘God is an Atheist’ is a remarkable collection that transcends the boundaries of traditional poetry.

The Mole Vol XVI: Adventures of the Strophe
Posted by Literary Titan

In The Mole Vol XVI: Adventures of the Strophe, Ron Raye crafts an evocative and introspective collection of poetry that explores the cyclical nature of life, love, and the human condition. Each poem weaves together themes of existential reflection and emotional depth, inviting readers on a journey through the complexities of existence. The narrative is rich with metaphor and vivid imagery, creating a tapestry of thoughts that both challenge and comfort the reader.
Ron Raye masterfully crafts each line to create vivid imagery in the reader’s mind, employing brilliant analogies that leave a lasting impression. One of the standout features of Raye’s poetry is its engagement with real-life issues. He blends storytelling with beautiful verse to convey his perspectives, enlighten the reader, and encourage reflection on the world around them. Additionally, his coverage of diverse topics keeps the collection entertaining and thought-provoking.
Raye has consistently been one of my favorite poets, thanks to the profound meanings his words convey and his vivid imagination. In The Mole XVI, my favorite chapter addresses life’s joys and sadness. The poem suggests that life is a game played by its own rules, which we must all abide by. I resonate deeply with the line, “Nature has no choice but to destroy us all,” a stark reminder of the inevitability of life’s end.
As a devoted fan of Ron Raye, I highly recommend The Mole Vol XVI: Adventures of the Strophe to lovers of poetry with deep meaning. This collection is a testament to Raye’s ability to touch on the core of human existence with eloquence and insight.

Flaming Moderate: A Riveting Journey and Quest to Save Democracy
Posted by Literary Titan

In Flaming Moderate, Bo Roberts offers a compelling examination of politics, social issues, and the current state of affairs in the USA. He delves into the preservation of core American values, contrasting historical practices with contemporary trends. Roberts addresses recent developments and the threat of violence associated with Trump supporters within the Republican Party and explores various topics specific to Tennessee. These include proposed changes to Tennessee’s constitution regarding the transfer of powers in the case of an inactive governor and the pursuit of quality post-secondary education for the state’s students.
The book is enriched with Roberts’ personal stories and his insights on significant political moments, such as his encounter with the KKK and their violent actions against Sevier County’s education leaders. Through these narratives, Roberts emerges as a passionate advocate for fairness and ethical leadership. He tackles sensitive subjects head-on, speaking candidly about pressing issues in the US. His profound messages, like the observation that education “has been suffering from a lack of preferential treatment for decades,” inspire readers to consider the need for change.
Roberts’ skillful integration of historical and contemporary events provides valuable context, helping readers understand the urgent need for effective leadership. One striking revelation in the book is that the number of COVID-19 deaths in the US surpasses the total number of deaths in the US Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard during World War II. Adding a playful, artistic layer to the serious topics, Roberts references songs and musicians such as Tim Nichols and Tony Arata, as well as various song lyrics. He also highlights remarkable individuals, including Bob Corker, a Republican US Senator from Tennessee, described as “a fiercely independent, plain-spoken leader.”
Flaming Moderate is ideal for those seeking logical political discourse and readers who can objectively evaluate both familiar and opposing viewpoints. With an engaging tone and a commitment to speaking his truth, Roberts presents a book filled with intelligently articulated problems and actionable solutions. Whether sharing personal experiences or discussing notable political figures, his perspectives resonate with advocates for the advancement and prosperity of the USA.

Practical Solution for Middle-Class Citizens
Posted by Literary_Titan

A Civil Dissolution: The Best Solution to America’s Irreconcilable Ideological Conflict offers an interesting exploration into the often complex landscape of American politics. Why was this an important book for you to write?
I have been concerned about the growing polarization between natural rights conservatives and leftist Democrats. I finally came to the conclusion that the ideological differences were irreconcilable and that the best solution was civil dissolution and starting over in 1776 with a new state sovereignty constitution for a new Democratic Republic of American States.
This book examines the divisions and dialogues between different political viewpoints, inviting readers to engage in discussions and consider diverse perspectives. What is a common misconception you feel people have about the purpose of the political parties?
The basic issue is that Madison’s constitution of 1787 was based upon two social classes, the natural aristocracy and common citizens. When the Democrat Party shifted to an ideological party in 2008, common middle-class American citizens were left behind without a political party to represent their financial interests. Madison’s constitution centralized power in Washington, and that power became disconnected from the consent of the governed. In the current structure of government, common middle, and working-class citizens do not have a method to restore the political balance between the central government and the states.
What were some goals you set for yourself as a writer in this book?
My intent was to move beyond an analysis of the problems in the nation and try to offer a practical solution for middle-class citizens to restore a natural rights republic form of government.
What is one thing that you hope readers take away from A Civil Dissolution?
The solution for the irreconcilable ideological differences reside in the state legislatures to allow citizens in each state to vote on forming a new nation called the Democratic Republic of American States.

The transformation of the Democrat Party from an economic faction political party to an ideological social class and race war political party is a permanent change in American politics.
The Democrat Marxists will never go back to being a political party that represented common citizens, as intended by Madison’s constitution.
Even if the Republican Party happened to win an election in the future, the Democrat Marxists will continue their quest to undermine the American political system in order to achieve permanent authoritarian power.
The concentration of power that was reserved to the ruling class, under Madison’s checks and balances, was obtained by the Democrats in the stolen election of 2020.
The moral and ideological differences between Marxist Democrats and natural rights conservatives are irreconcilable.
This book explains why the philosophical differences between the two groups of voters are irreconcilable and presents the argument that a civil dissolution of the nation into socialist slave and liberty free states is the best possible strategy to resolve the ideological conflict.

A Civil Dissolution: The Best Solution to America’s Irreconcilable Ideological Conflict
Posted by Literary Titan

In A Civil Dissolution, author Laurie Thomas Vass delves into the tumultuous landscape of contemporary American politics, characterized by stark divisions and relentless debates between the Republican and Democratic parties. Vass presents an unconventional proposition: dividing the United States into two distinct entities based on divergent ideological beliefs—one embracing socialist principles and the other championing ‘liberty-free’ states.
The book thoughtfully critiques James Madison’s constitution, pinpointing perceived weaknesses in the amendment process. Vass supports her arguments with a rich tapestry of historical texts and insights from renowned intellectuals. The inclusion of perspectives from figures like George Mason, James Buchanan, and Joseph Schumpeter enriches the narrative, providing a multi-faceted examination of potential pathways to a more effective governance system. One of the book’s strengths lies in its balanced approach. While part of it delves into the analytical exploration of quotes and concepts from notable political thinkers, another segment is dedicated to outlining tangible, actionable solutions for establishing a more efficient government framework. The author’s skill in distilling complex political theories into accessible ideas is commendable. A Civil Dissolution is not just a critique of the current political scenario but a comprehensive exploration of various themes such as history, economics, banking, corruption, racism, slavery, and natural rights. It is as much an analysis of past events and ideologies as it is a commentary on contemporary economic structures, proposing ways to foster a more equitable society.
This book stands out for its insightful discussions and clear presentation of ideas. It is an engaging read for anyone interested in understanding the depths of American political discourse and those seeking novel solutions to the ongoing political divide between Republicans and Democrats. A Civil Dissolution is a conversation starter, inviting readers to consider new perspectives on achieving political harmony in the United States.
