How Does A Man Rebuild His Spirit
Posted by Literary Titan

The Energy Inside Valsin’s Choices follows a man through multiple lives and explores the cumulative effect of his choices. What was the inspiration for the setup to your story?
In the preface I discussed having an accident and having a repetitive dream. This disturbing dream led me to write this novel. I end it with “The story that manifested the repetitive dreams after my puppy knocked my chin is now told. What does the author have to do with this story?” This is the prelude to the sequel.
Valsin is an intriguing character. What were some driving ideals behind your character’s development?
How does a man rebuild his spirit after stripping away any positive traits? Can he repair? This is something that can be achieved. But only over a long time because what he did to so many people was also detrimental to himself. Valsin had to start from the very beginning to learn what life is in order to value life, love, and especially value others as well as himself.
What were some themes that were important for you to explore in this book?
Not to judge others is a valuable lesson for all of us. Maybe there is a reason someone is an uneducated farmer and he is happy as he is. Maybe there is a reason why someone works to help children or be a fisherman. That life is special for that person. We do not all need to be up on the latest technologies working at the top companies. Who would grow our food?
Another important theme is that one can change if they want and work at it – whatever it is. Your inner voice, higher self, intuition, God, the universe – whatever you call it – will guide you if you listen.
What is the next book that you are working on and when will it be available?
I am working on the sequel to this book. The working title is The Energy Inside the Author. It explores Nabella and why the author wrote The Energy Inside Valsin’s Choices. I am also working on a book on caregiving called How to Care for Grouchy Old People. Both of these do not have a publish date set yet. The other project of which I am doing is the Richard Tregaskis Classics Collection, by the renowned war journalist. I reprinted his classics with introductions by his widow, Moana Tregaskis, along with rare archives. Invasion Diary, Stronger Than Fear, Last Plane to Shanghai, China Bomb, and Vietnam Diary were published in 2021 under the imprint JMFdeA Press. This year we will publish Building the Bases, X-15 Diary, The Warrior King, Seven Leagues to Paradise, and Woman and the Sea.

The Energy Inside Valsin’s Choices is a hybrid historical and metaphysical fiction respecting choices and consequences, which pulse into the beyond. Nabella is a newcomer to New Orleans in 1862 just before the Union occupied the city during the Civil War. She becomes curious about her mysterious neighbor Valsin. The energy inside his choices has cumulative effects in his future lives as well as profound impact on Nabella and others. We travel with him around the globe through centuries and witness how he transforms from darkness to light. It invites the reader to learn along with Valsin intense evolutionary lessons.

What Thinking Means
Posted by Literary Titan

The Rise And Ruin Of Logic helps readers figure out the various ways to be at one with life’s characters. Why was this an important book for you to write?
This book was very important for me to write simple because people have become so confused about the idea of the mind. I suffered from the same confusion most of my searching life. I thought to myself that if I could bring clarity to the ‘mind” then I may be able to help others who felt the same. The mind is such a vast and controversial topic that I wanted to add my version about the mind and what thinking means as well as understand that we cannot banish the mind, hence the character “Thought” found in the birth from Nothingness chapter.
What were some themes you felt were important to capture in this book?
Understanding all the characters depicted in my works. I would say the practical review chapter about all the characters is the important part of my work.
I felt like this book gave me a different perspective on life. What do you feel is a common misconception people have about life?
I think a common misconception people have about life in terms of my genre and what I write about: is that many people think they need to empty the mind, stop the mind, cease thinking, etc. Everything about the “new age” has been brewed into one massive pot that has led to so much confusion.
What do you hope is one thing people take away from your book?
My hope that people can take from my book is to make peace with themselves about the topic of spirituality. That is primarily what motivated me to write this book, hence my characters from Wisdom to Body and all of them in between. This has been my effort to organise the human make up. While some people follow only the heart and others, Logic, I have tried to give equal credit to all the characters. It is all about balance.

I am “Thought” the adventurer
Let me tell you a tale about your birth…
Long ago, in a thorough search for more, Logic the separatist broke away from his roots and gave birth to his own children of madness. As Thought lays the foundation, Logic the capitalist begins to Rise and Rule. Hence, the beginning of the here and now.
We have lost our guide while many have turned to spirituality; the big business hoax to reclaim themselves only to find how crippled they are. Hence, it is “Time to fire the Guru.”
Have you ever felt that there was more to life than the 2D images we’re used to seeing? Well, there is. Life is full of colourful 3D characters like Logic, Thought, Fantasy, and Emotions.
This book is also about Greed, Logic the planner and soul destroyer, money, holy phantasmagoria and crass materialism.
What these characters do is to form a synergy, working together like a well-oiled machine to ensure that our lives go smoothly.
Ready to get in touch with them? You’re in luck because I can help you do so! There’s no need to make drastic changes to realise your potential; all that’s required is patience, willingness, and commitment to make the necessary changes. You needn’t feel bad if getting to your desired endpoint takes more time than you’ve budgeted for, simply go one step at a time, and you’ll amaze yourself with your level of measurable progress in no time!
Awareness is the ultimate form of recognising all things around us. It helps us review all that we’ve done, and also shows us new ways to improve our states.
This book will help you figure out all the various ways to be at one with all of life’s characters because that’s the sure-fire way to discover yourself and live a stress-free existence. It’s only when you’re conscious of yourself that you’re able to see the world for what it is, and not what society has painted for us.
With the aid of this manual, you’ll be able to embrace every part of your life and not just the ones you like. We wouldn’t be at peace if we didn’t at least try.
In summary, this book is: Food for thought and a captivating story about the birth of attitudes. Sit down, enjoy a good read, and be radically transformed.

Books are Pure Magic
Posted by Literary Titan
Gardening with Guns: A Memoir details the road you traveled from childhood to adulthood. Why was this an important book for you to write?
I have wanted to be a writer since reading my first novel as a child. To me books are pure magic. As my life unfolded it became more and more clear to me that my path was quite different from the norm. I felt that others would find my story interesting and that some who had experienced similar obstacles would draw inspiration from knowing they are not alone.
I appreciated how you didn’t shy away from the dark times in your life and shared them along with the good. What were some important memories you wanted to capture?
My childhood home. I have only fond memories of that house, our yard, and our garden – in spite of the negative things that happened there. I also wanted to capture my beloved grandparents. I often attribute my perseverance to them and their unguarded love for my brothers and me. It was also very important for me to capture the trauma I experienced surrounding my father’s death. In a way it is a tribute to him.
Looking back on you life after you’ve written a memoir, is there anything that you see differently?
If I could sum it up, I would say that all of the fearful and awful memories that loomed large in the back of my mind were greatly diminished and their effect on me neutralized.
I found this book to be ultimately uplifting. What do you hope readers take away from your book?
Just that! I wanted very much to tell the good and bad and to show that you can overcome. The keys are self-reflection, honesty, forgiveness and love. Oh, and one more important one – courage! It takes courage to face your fears, but the rewards are immense!

In the prime of her life, AJ seemingly has it all – a successful career, three thriving children and a marriage that spans two decades. Her hard-fought, adult life beams bright and in sharp contrast to the dark, gun-wielding, serial-parent changing, and starkly silent world she grew up in.
On the heels of her father’s sudden and tragic death, AJ finds herself questioning the life she has so carefully architected. Estranged from her mother, she seeks comfort in the revival of her relationship with her two brothers, all that remain of her childhood nucleus. The three siblings find themselves in a sad, yet familiar place as they bond in the midst of their loss, and relive together similar times from the turbulent and siloed childhood they shared.
In the months following her father’s funeral, AJ’s reminiscences compel her to see her current circumstances through a fresh lens. Concerns that her husband is leading a secret life turn from suspicion to fact as the void in their relationship widens, creating a troubling likeness between her marriage and the dysfunctional relationships she witnessed as a child. She struggles with the decision to honor her intuition and end her failing marriage, but the consequences of divorce still loom ominously in her memory. She realizes that she can no longer deny her buried past, nor its implications on her current situation.
This is a fascinating true story of one woman’s journey to overcome childhood trauma, and to listen to the inner voice that she has been ignoring for years. Written as a novel, her memoir traverses past and present, all the while painting vivid pictures of both her childhood and adult worlds, the similarities of which have become too numerous to ignore.
