The Dark Feminine Path: Shadow Work, Past Lives, and Reclaiming Your Manifestation Magick
Posted by Literary Titan

The Dark Feminine Path is a guided journey into shadow work, framed as the missing step before any kind of manifestation can truly stick. Anna J Walner mixes Jungian psychology, tarot, dark goddess archetypes, inner child and ancestral healing, plus past life regression and ritual, to walk the reader from theory into practice. She lays out what the book is and what it is not, spelling out that it is a layered process, not a quick five-step fix, and she is very blunt about how much participation she expects from the reader. Each chapter builds on the last, starting with Jung’s ideas about the shadow and projection, moving through why standard “good vibes only” manifestation fails, then into goddess work, card-by-card tarot explorations, regression techniques, spellwork, and finally daily integration plans with journaling prompts and spreads. I finished the book with a clear sense of its core thesis: you do not manifest from your vision board, you manifest from your unconscious, so the work is to descend, look honestly at what lives there, and reclaim it as yours.
I found the book surprisingly direct and very readable, even when the topics got heavy. The foreword sets the tone straight away, telling the reader this is not a standard manifestation book and inviting them to “descend” into the parts of themselves they have avoided, which gave me a sharp little jolt of both anticipation and nervousness. Walner’s voice is warm, conversational, almost like a mentor who will hug you and then tell you what you really need to hear. She repeats herself on key points, especially her insistence that you actually do the exercises and go slowly. I also see how that repetition will steady someone who feels shaky. The structure inside chapters is very consistent, which I liked: explanation, examples, then questions and practices. In the tarot section, for instance, each Major Arcana card gets an image description, a light expression, a shadow expression, then shadow work questions and an integration practice, so I always knew what was coming next and could pace myself. Sometimes the sheer volume of content felt dense, almost like a course manual more than a casual read, and I had a sense that this is a book to live with rather than breeze through.
I felt both challenged and reassured. Walner’s argument that unhealed trauma, inner child wounds, and unconscious beliefs set the real “signal” for manifestation made emotional sense to me, and her critique of toxic positivity and spiritual bypassing felt grounded and compassionate rather than snarky. I appreciated how often she points back to therapy and professional support, and how clearly she states that her rituals and regression practices do not replace medical or psychological care. The integration of Jungian concepts with tarot archetypes and the dark goddesses felt rich, especially when she explores how a card like the Magician can show up as both ethical creation and manipulative control, then links that to childhood experiences about power and desire. At the same time, I felt a bit of distance from the more esoteric claims around past lives and spirit guides. For readers who already work with that worldview, those sections will probably feel thrilling and affirming. For someone who wants evidence-based psychology, those parts may feel more like symbolic storytelling than literal truth. Even then, the practices still landed for me as metaphors that help surface hidden material.
I would recommend The Dark Feminine Path to readers who are already comfortable with spiritual language, who like tarot, goddess work, and ritual, and who feel burned out on cheerful manifestation advice that tells them to “just be positive” without touching their history. It will fit best for women and femme readers who want to reclaim power, boundaries, and desire in a rooted, embodied way, and who are willing to journal, pull cards, and sit with hard feelings over many weeks. For the right reader, this feels like a brave and generous map for walking into the dark and coming back with more of yourself.

Larougo: Book Two of The Uluru Legacy Series
Posted by Literary Titan
Larougo (The Uluru Legacy Series Book Two) by Anna J Walner is a suspenseful paranormal adult fiction book that continues the story of Amelia and Roan from Garkain, Book One of the series. After learning that Amelia is pregnant with triplets, she and Roan travel back to Australia from the United States for their joining ceremony. But there are many surprises waiting for them when they return home. The couple learns that they are expected to take on the role of leaders of a new Colony, combining the Colony of vampires currently led by Amelia’s grandfather with Roan’s pack of were-dingos. And Amelia’s mix of vampire and lycanthrope bloodlines mean that they don’t know quite what to expect during her pregnancy. With a group of hunters bent on exterminating all of them, will anyone survive?
Author Anna J Walner has created a unique story within a packed paranormal genre that will feel familiar but still creates its own imaginative world. I liked the setting of Australia for this paranormal series, and the unique aspect of were-dingos instead of the typical wolves, couple this with a deep level of intrigue baked into the story right from the beginning and you get what fans loved in book one, but taken to a new level. How Roan and Amelia navigate pack politics is riveting and will appeal to any reader who loves the drama that goes with intertwining desires among strong characters.
While I enjoyed the story line and the characters, I felt that there were a lot of descriptions in the book; there’s a scene about making online purchases and unpacking boxes, but once we’re pass this the pace of the novel really picks up.
Amelia is still an impassioned character with strong feeling about things and her reaction to the events around her elevates the melodrama whenever she’s in the scene to ensure things are always interesting. With a twist later on that really challenges her love, and who she loves more, readers are in for an emotional-rollercoaster.
Larougo is a thrilling paranormal romance novel that continues the riveting story from book one. If you have not read book one, Garkain, I highly suggest you do as the second book presses forward without summary. This is an emotionally charged shifter romance story that will leave you wanting more.

A Truly Unique Experience
Posted by Literary Titan

Garkain follows a young woman who goes to Australia to uncover her past and finds a supernatural world she never thought existed. What was the inspiration for the setup to this exciting story?
My own adoption, in a way. Amelia’s beginning is the same as mine. I was adopted as a baby from a hospital in Houston, with an Australian heritage. The rest however, is quite different. As an adopted child though, I think we all have these questions of where we come from, why we were given up. I took those questions and constructed a truly fantastic tale for Amelia, letting my own imagination run wild. I’ve always loved the Paranormal and Young Adult genre, but grew tired of the usual things you’d find. I wanted to give readers a truly unique experience. To frame the story in an intelligent way, and bring vampires and werewolves into a new age.
Amelia is an intriguing and well developed character. What were some driving ideals behind her character development?
A desire to showcase the central character as more relatable to the strong young women of today. Empower her to make her own choices, live by her own rules, and stray from the stereotypical submissive female lead, who’s at the mercy of a vampire. She defies the role she’s expected to play in the Legacy, which I think was the most fun part to write. She’s strong-willed, and sometimes stubborn, while remaining completely relatable and feminine at the same time.
I enjoyed the lore that you’ve created in your world. What were some new ideas you wanted to introduce into the vampire/werewolf mythology?
“We’re not who you think we are.” I wanted to explore what vampires culture would be like in present times. How it might have changed over the centuries. The characters in the story are completely believable, as if the Colony really could exist. Maybe it does . . .
This is book one in The Uluru Legacy Series. What can readers expect in book two?
I’m so very excited to share the next book, with so many questions left at the end of Garkain. I’m anticipating releasing it for preorder around the time Garkain is released to the public.
The second book takes a deeper look inside the Colony itself. The questions readers have from the first book will be answered, as new questions come to light, and a new danger makes itself known. We explore more about he central characters introduced in the first book, delving deeper into their true motives and plans for Amelia and Roan. And of course we see the relationship grow between them as well. New discoveries are made, and new relationships made as well. What I can promise, are plenty of surprises. So, stay tuned!

Garkain: Book One of The Uluru Legacy Series
Posted by Literary Titan
Garkain is the first book of the Uluru Legacy by author Anna J. Walner. She introduces us to a world where vampires and werewolves live in secret societies. Set in Perth, Australia, we follow one tribe of Garkain, the vampires, and another of Larougo, the lycanthropes or werewolves. Amelia is unique because she is the first to have both Garkain and Larougo blood. She was abandoned at a hospital when she was born, and at age 25 she’ll try to find out the truth about where she comes from. In the process she’ll reconnect with her Garkain mother and the rest of her lost family, get to know all that there is about the Uluru Colony, the Garkain tribe to which she belongs. Having lived in the United States all her life, Amelia will travel to Australia to have the opportunity to meet her real family for the first time, only to soon have to make a very hard decision, to go through the Unbinding ritual to finally become Garkain, leaving her mortality behind, or to go back to her normal life in the States as a human. She has the chance of becoming the bridge that will unite the Garkain and the Larougo, natural enemies, and gaining new gifts from both to possibly strengthen the genes of the future Garkain and Larougo generations to come.
Garkain is a story about family and love, with some political background between the Garkain and the Larougo that adds a layer of tension to this emotional novel. I enjoyed following Amelia’s journey as she realized who she really was and got to know, for the first time, how it felt to have a real family to support her and stand by her. I liked her character a lot and loved reading about her relationship with Roan, one of the Larougo. They had a lot of chemistry and seemed to be a great support for one another, despite coming from very different families. This is a great introduction to the Uluru Legacy, which promises to be entertaining. We get to learn about how the Garkain and Larougo work and organize, their rules and the gifts that they have, all of it created with imaginative flare. The story deals with themes such as family and romance, and leaves hints of possible political fights among the Garkain and Larougo for future books of the series, which left me intrigued, wanting to find out more about what’s going on and what role Amelia is going to have to play in all of this.
I’m eager to see how Amelia’s and Roan’s relationship will develop in the next books, and what decisions they will make as significant and powerful members of the Garkain and Larougo families. Garkain by Anna J. Walner is a riveting dive into a fantastical world that is rich in supernatural lore. This thrilling fantasy novel is ideal for the fans of the paranormal and supernatural genres, especially those who have developed a love for vampires and werewolves.
