Deep Craving
Posted by Literary Titan

Joe Giampaolo shares with us a series of short poems, which, although focused on love, also exalt nature and hope. Affection can be represented in different ways, so Joe talks about passions as well as romance. He motivates us to find true love and achieve inspiration. Hence, sometimes the poems talk about running down cobblestone streets and feeling nostalgic, and other times there are moments of peace while contemplating the moonlight. The settings he describes are beautiful, but his perspective remains realistic.
I liked Joe Giampaolo’s poetic style because he is not afraid to open his heart. His words are sincere and simple; for this reason, in Deep Craving, it is easy to see the beauty of poetry. The allegories and representations of nature are clear and attached to the feelings of life. The author’s words are reminiscent of some of the classic poets, but his style is still his own and individual, thus maintaining his poetic purity. His ideas are expressed in sweet concepts, so he can speak of snow or the vibrant sound of children’s laughter without losing the sense of the theme of love.
I enjoyed reading Deep Craving; it serves to lift your spirits and continue the day with a positive attitude because it allows you to see the world in a favorable light. That’s why I think Joe Giampaolo succeeds. I only wish there had been more poems to read because the ideas always convey the right feeling. This is a case of quality, where in a few words, great ideas are conveyed. This poetry will make you feel nostalgic and longing. But it will also motivate you to seek to live in a new world, a more prosperous one.
Deep Craving: A Collection of Poems is a thought-provoking book filled with visions of love and romance from a unique perspective. This is a wonderful collection to read or share with someone you love if you are looking for something different but deeply meaningful. I recommend this read for any lover of poetry who wishes to express their feelings with affection.

Elegance of the Prose
Posted by Literary Titan

Hampshire Stories is a collection of dramatic short stories set in Victorian England. What draws you to the Regency/Victorian period of England?
I have always enjoyed the 1800s, its historical events, literature, and arts. Having been born in Rome, where the architecture and the art of that period are still very evident, I always felt a fascination and an attraction for the 19th-century. Also, I am an avid reader of 19th-century English literature. What draws me to the literature of the period is the elegance of the prose and the emphasis on courtship and romanticism in their novels.
What were some sources of inspiration that informed your writing?
As I said, I am an avid reader of 19th-century literature and my favourite authors of the period are George Eliot, Thomas Hardy, Charles Dickens, Gustave Flaubert, Margareth Oliphant, Elizabeth Gaskell, Jane Austen, and Charlotte Bronte.
My favorite story from the collection is ‘A Forbidden Love’. Do you have a favorite story from the book?
I am partial to ‘Emma has a Lover’ and ‘Frederick.’ I really enjoy the dialogue in these two short stories which somewhat reminds me of the dialogue in some of my favorite Jane Austen novels.
What is the next book that you are working on and when will it be available?
My next book is a novella called ‘A Farmer’s Daughter.’ The heroine of the story is Charlotte, whom we have met briefly in ‘Hampshire Stories.’ I am planning to publish it in the summer of 2021.

Hampshire Stories: A Collection of Tales Set in 19th-Century England By Joe Giampaolo is a stellar collection of short stories! Giampaolo takes you back in time, creating historically accurate atmospheres and dialogue that are bound to give you a history lesson! Each story centers around the topics of love and the everyday musing of high-society in 19th-Century England. One of the stories even features an enchanting legend about a handsome knight on a quest to save his kingdom! These are stories of pure delight and feature a lovable cast of characters. There is a story for everyone in this collection!
Let me start by praising Giampaolo’s immense gift for creating historically accurate dialogue. I felt as though I was reading one of my favorite Jane Austen novels! He even leaves endnotes for every story that helps inform you of slang and traditions of the time. Anyone who reads this collection will see how well thought out and researched these stories are!
It would be negligent of me not to mention just how much Giampaolo transports you back in time with his incredible descriptions! He creates vivid atmospheres and doesn’t forget to leave out the most minute of details. This is reminiscent of the novels published in the 19th-century! Many of the descriptions left me with a warm and cozy feeling.
Another one of Giampaolo’s gift is his ability to fully develop his characters within a short space of time. Particularly the character of Emma comes to mind as I write this. You gain a comprehensive grasp of her personality, despite her only being featured for a limited time. This is mostly due to Giampaolo’s detailed descriptions. You can also see this ability come to life in her suitor, Mr. Johnston.
Giampaolo’s writing is reminiscent of Jane Austen and Elizabeth Gaskell. It is evident that he took great care in crafting this collection of stories. The research conducted to create accurate portrayals of the time is praiseworthy!
If you have ever dreamed of living in 19-century England’s high-society, you must read this book! Curl up with a cup of coffee or tea on a chilly afternoon and get lost in these stories. Plus, you will receive a history lesson in the most fun way possible by reading this book!
