The Next Generation of Disaster Management
Posted by Literary Titan

Dr. Todd D. Brauckmiller’s The Next Generation of Disaster Management is a bold and sweeping overview of how emergency response has evolved, from Cold War-era civil defense to cutting-edge, AI-driven systems. Drawing heavily from the author’s own military and academic experience, the book is both a technical deep dive and a passionate argument for more compassionate, inclusive, and forward-thinking disaster preparedness. It covers everything from nuclear fallout shelter engineering to ethical AI applications in emergency scenarios, while weaving in historical case studies, policy critiques, and future-facing solutions to modern crises like pandemics and climate disasters.
What struck me most about this book is its sharp blend of gritty realism and visionary optimism. Brauckmiller doesn’t sugarcoat the brutal realities of past disasters or the bureaucratic shortcomings that plagued them. He breaks down historical events with a soldier’s precision and a teacher’s clarity. The sections on bioterrorism and the fallout from 9/11 are particularly gripping—grounded in historical fact, but animated with moral urgency. Yet, amid all the analysis, there’s a human warmth that runs through the text. His personal journey from foster youth to Bronze Star-decorated leader is compelling and gives weight to his emphasis on servant leadership. It’s not just about drones and data; it’s about people, especially the most vulnerable.
While the content is rich and thoughtful, the delivery sometimes has a formal academic tone. The technical sections on AI and logistics are impressive but can be dense if you’re not well-versed in emergency management jargon. Still, the author’s sincerity, depth of knowledge, and drive to make the world more resilient shine through, even when the prose gets heavy.
This is a book that delivers more than it promises. It’s a call to rethink how we serve each other in crisis. I’d recommend it to emergency planners, public policy leaders, educators, and anyone curious about the intersection of tech, humanity, and crisis response. If you’re looking for hope grounded in hard-earned wisdom, this book delivers.

Developing Employability Capital in University Students offers readers invaluable advice for navigating the unpredictability of the modern job market. Why was this an important book for you to write?
Having previously worked as a graduate recruiter in industry and spent the last decade in academia researching graduate employability and sustainable careers, it was clear to me that traditional skills and attributes models are no longer fit for purpose. Career development professionals and academics need an innovative tool to prepare university students for a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous labour market.
The Employability Capital Growth Model (ECGM) addresses this need by offering a versatile tool designed to help support university students across all disciplines and years of study. It considers how the interplay of nine forms of employability capital and contextual factors play out over time, leading to various personal outcomes.
This book makes the ECGM accessible to career professionals, educators, and students alike. Whether used in one-to-one coaching, group workshops, or embedded into university curricula, it equips readers with practical strategies to navigate career uncertainty and build fulfilling, sustainable careers in an increasingly complex world.
Can you share with us a little about the research required to put your book together?
Bringing this book to life required deep research and real-world application. It started with a systematic literature review which I conducted alongside Professor Yehuda Baruch and Associate Professor Melanie J. Ashleigh at the University of Southampton, UK. We identified nearly 100 academic studies published between 2016 and 2022, which informed the development of the ECGM. This foundational research is detailed in Chapter 3, while Chapters 4 to 6 introduce and explain the ECGM itself.
But theory alone isn’t enough. I wanted to see how the model worked in practice. So, I collaborated with career professionals and academics across 16 countries, gathering 19 mini case studies of how they used the ECGM with their students. Their insights, shared in Chapters 7 and 8, played a crucial role in refining the model and led to the development of a 10-step guide (Chapter 9) to help others implement it effectively.
Finally, I wanted to place the ECGM within a bigger picture. It is underpinned by Sustainable Career Ecosystem Theory (SCET), which I developed by combining Sustainable Career Theory (co-developed by Professor Beatrice I. J. M. Van der Heijden & Professor Ans De Vos in 2015) and Career Ecosystem Theory (developed by Professor Yehuda Baruch, also in 2015). Drawing on collaborative insights from the founders of the two foundational theories, SCET is introduced in Chapter 2 and revisited in Chapter 10 to show how the ECGM can contribute to a sustainable career ecosystem.
What is one piece of advice you wish someone had given you when you were younger?
Don’t be afraid to ask for help. It’s easy to think that successful people figured everything out on their own, but in reality, everyone started somewhere. Most people are happy to share their experiences, offer guidance, and answer questions. You just have to reach out!
Beyond networking, asking for help gives you access to the kind of knowledge that isn’t written in textbooks or job descriptions. It’s those unwritten, unspoken insights that can make all the difference. Whether it’s choosing the right educational path, navigating career transitions, or even making big life decisions, learning from others’ experiences can help you avoid pitfalls, seize opportunities, and build a career that aligns with your goals.
What is one thing you hope readers take away from your book?
We are all part of a larger career ecosystem. Your career is shaped by the people, organizations, and industries around you. It does not develop in isolation. At the same time, your choices and actions also influence the opportunities available to others.
Whether you are a student, educator, or career professional, I hope this book inspires you to take an active role in shaping a future where career success is not just about individual achievement. By recognizing this interconnectedness, we can shift our focus beyond simply chasing job titles and instead work toward building sustainable and fulfilling careers.

By adopting a holistic view of graduate employability complemented by Sustainable Career Ecosystem Theory, this book offers interdisciplinary insights from applied psychology, career development, higher education, human resource management, and sociology. The book is divided into four parts:
Part I begins with the theoretical foundations of a sustainable career ecosystem and the development of the ECGM.
Part II offers an in-depth exploration of the ECGM, incorporating nine forms of capital, contextual and temporal factors, and personal outcomes.
Part III presents a 10-step guide to using the ECGM with university students, informed by 19 cases from 26 career development practitioners and academics from across 16 countries and 6 continents.
Part IV encourages readers to consider the implications for other actors within a sustainable career ecosystem and concludes with a summary of the key takeaways for each chapter.
Whether used in one-to-one sessions, group workshops, or as part of university curricula, this book makes the ECGM accessible and easily applicable for anyone seeking innovative strategies to support university students in achieving sustainable and fulfilling careers.

Research: Make Impossibility Possible is a practical manual for aspiring inventors that lays out a roadmap to help readers navigate the path from idea to finished product. Why was this an important book for you to write?
I am delighted to grant an interview on the book Research: Make Impossibility Possible. Thank you very much for giving me the opportunity of granting an author interview. My twenty-five years of experience in research and invention-making have revealed a great knowledge gap that only an outstanding book in the area can fill. The book Research: Make Impossibility Possible was written to fill that great knowledge gap.
Annually, thousands of people from each nation across the globe embark on “research” works. Unfortunately, only extremely few inventions are made each year for the sustainability and advancement of the world. The reason for the making of only extremely few inventions per year is the knowledge gap that existed. Now, the knowledge deficit has been filled with the book Research: Make Impossibility Possible. The users of the book can have something of great value invented in every research journey they embark on.
Research: Make Impossibility Possible was written to best educate people on how to execute research by making impossibilities possible and unsolvable problems solvable via immensely useful discoveries, inventions, and innovations. The book exceptionally educates the user to practically execute research and make inventions that turn impossibly good things into possible great things and solve unsolvable problems. The book’s contributions to societal advancement are significant, leading to the betterment of society, and the advancement of the world.
Research: Make Impossibility Possible was written for many more people to learn what research and invention-making demand. By applying Research: Make Impossibility Possible, any person can successfully research and make extremely valuable inventions to overwhelmingly improve people’s lives, enhance society and change the world for the best. Virtually every page of the book contains at least one important idea that guides the user toward the completion of an invention-making journey.
What characterizes the millions of renowned researchers and inventors who have ever lived on planet Earth are succinctly articulated in the book for the user to emulate.
For each good thing in existence, something extraordinarily better can be invented with much more rigorous research. Every bad thing on Earth can have a wonderfully good invention made in its place. The book provides practical guides for the making of inventions.
What were some ideas that were important for you to share in this book?
Research: Make Impossibility Possible charges us to think and act like prolific researchers and inventors. Plus, eventually become one of them by successfully executing research that creates, discovers, and invents solutions, services, ideas, products, knowledge, and truths that solve unsolvable problems and make impossibilities possible.
The greatest secret, rarest, and most valuable universal truth every famous inventor used to accomplish all they achieved is presented in the book. The what, the why, and the how to do and become an accomplished inventor are passionately emphasized reiteratively in the book. Every person who intensely studies, masters, and committedly applies the revealed secret that distinguished the millions of profound inventors on the planet from the rest of humankind is sure to advance closer to making inventions and becoming one of the consummate researchers someday.
We are individually created to research meticulously and make extremely valuable inventions to extraordinarily better people’s lives, improve society, and change the world for the best. Anyone who truly wants can study and master the skills presented in the book, do outstanding research, and make highly helpful inventions.
A person should either research and make inventions or fund others to research and make life-changing and world-improvement inventions. It takes just a few hours to read the book. In a few hours, a person will surely learn what a substantial majority of humans will not learn for an entire lifetime. With the book, anyone can identify a major problem from time to time, set out to discover, invent, or create the solution, and certainly achieve it exceptionally every single time for the greatest good of all in need. When done with each research, the world shall progress by one indelible giant stride and acknowledge the person’s heroic contribution.
The book shall get the user fired up to choose and passionately love solving a problem of great value to society and the world, a problem that, when solved, shall make people become the very best they can be. To be fired up to embark on and outstandingly complete an invention, a discovery, or a creation mission, Research: Make Impossibility Possible remains the most indispensable resource.
All the most valuable inventions that we enjoy today in the world are things that had been concluded to be impossible before they were invented. With the inventor’s eye, the patent holders of those inventions thought completely differently, held fast to their visions and goals of making those impossible things possible, and worked persistently to fulfill their ambition and achieve their research goals. We are the beneficiaries of their inventions. We can and should make others also benefit from us when we invent.
The famous researchers and the rest of humans do not think and act the same way. What makes the researchers of famous repute different from all other humans is the way they think and act. You can become an excellent researcher when you think and act the way preeminent researchers do.
How globally acclaimed researchers think and how they act is exquisitely presented in the book as never before. Intensely read, profoundly study, and utterly practice the thoughts and actions of renowned researchers as thoroughly provided in Research: Make Impossibility Possible and unfailingly become a distinguished researcher. Get the right beliefs, thinking, character, and actions required to become a world-reputable researcher from this book.
Specific important ideas the book shares are enumerated as follows.
- We can and should make the impossible possible and unsolvable solvable. Everything good can be made possible when the necessary research is done. Nothing is impossible that cannot be made possible with the research it demands. We are living in a world of possibilities. Virtually every essential thing we use was made possible with research. With sufficient research, everyone can invent and make an impossibility possible. The journey of making impossibility possible begins with intensely studying, learning, and meticulously implementing the secrets of invention-making, as passionately revealed in Research: Make Impossibility Possible.
2. We should passionately work and achieve our research goal. Passionate achievement of the research goal demands that we first specify clearly what we want to accomplish with the research and how exactly we are to achieve it. Then, follow through the plan meticulously to accomplish the target invention regardless of how daunting and the number of obstacles we might encounter in the process.
3. We should think and do things as eminent researchers do. It is a sure way to eventually become a great researcher. We can each become excellent researchers only when we think and act the way that prolific inventors do. Emulate renowned inventors’ thoughts and actions to execute research exceptionally well. By applying this book, we can get all of that done and have a product or service of great usefulness invented or rendered respectively.
4. We have got to take all the massive actions the completion of our target invention demands. It is unstoppable action alone that gets research done. Research goals can only be achieved with the nonstop taking of all the necessary actions for its fantastic accomplishment. Live out your research dream by exerting every one of the actions it demands.
5. We must be exceedingly creative and visionary. With wisdom and imagination, we must design the invention or discovery of something that will provide a much better future for people, society, and the world. We should devote ourselves completely to the actualization of our creative vision. Let us do the research for the accomplishment of our greatest and most valuable vision. We have to be constructively creative and visionary, develop an inventor’s eye, originate change, and be intrinsically motivated to achieve our research goal timely.
6. To gain superabundant life, we must invent. Making an extremely valuable invention is like going beyond the realm of life and death to attain a life of superabundance. Doing research to make an invention that turns an impossibility into a possibility and an unsolvable problem into a solvable one is the toughest task a person can willingly accomplish. We have got to love invention-making above everything else and make all the sacrifices and investments to accomplish the invention we crave.
7. Invention-making is the most important race for a person to win. Winning the essential race improves people, enhances society, and advances the world. To win, one must research with grit, work hard and smart at it, and be very thorough in researching.
8. We must constantly learn research. Constant learning of research is key to excellent research execution, making inventions and discoveries, and turning unsolvable into solvable and impossibilities into possibilities. Committed dedication to research learning is paramount. A person must see invention opportunities in everything, remain focused singleheartedly in pursuing the invention goal, treasure eminent researchers and their works, centre on making inventions and discoveries, and manage his inventions to work for him.
9. Self-development for invention-making is the surest key to success. Making inventions and discoveries demands one to be highly dedicated to self-development. High dedication to self-improvement is one of the necessities for making valuable discoveries and inventions. A person can only make inventions and discoveries that solve unsolvable problems and make impossibilities possible with diligent continuous reading, writing, experimenting, learning, growing, and improving oneself.
10. With inventions alone can a person attain his maximum potential. Everyone has enormous potential that needs to be attained. When attained, one can do loads of currently impossible things. Strive desperately for the actualization of your potential to the fullest. Plus, help others to accelerate to their zenith potential swiftly. Research for the attainment of maximum potential by you and everybody else. Everyone is endowed with inexhaustible potential. Society and the world can become the best if every person progressively realizes their potential’s apex.
11. Invention-making demands a person to demonstrate research execution skills. The skills include confidence in the face of criticism, positive thinking, procrastination termination, do it now, most importantly task performance, practice for excellence, and task completion.
12. The development of outstanding researcher characteristics is mandatory for the making of inventions, innovations, and discoveries. The outstanding researcher characteristics a person must develop are the Six Ps (passion, purpose, perseverance, persistence, practice, and prevention of procrastination). Other characteristics of outstanding research execution include focus, destiny fulfillment, making indelible contributions, taking total responsibility, working fast, and making money.
13. The making of inventions demands four hours daily writing – the most important higher-order thinking skill. Intense writing is mandatory for the execution of every research. Writing is essential in the science of invention-making and discovery, turning unsolvable into solvable and impossibility into possibility. There cannot be research, invention, and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics, and medicine) without writing. Adherence to Peter James Kpolovie’s “Four Hours Daily Writing Rule” is necessary for the excellent making of inventions.
14. Extraordinary bravery and courage are necessary for research execution. Bravery and courage are indispensable for the successful execution of research – the science of inventing and discovering to make impossibility possible and the unsolvable solvable. Learn, practice and be typically characterized with bravery and courage in your research endeavours.
15. Structure a suitable research topic for every invention-making journey you embark on. A good name is of boundless value. So, it is with a research title. The title of an invention-making journey says it all. Choose a compelling research title, a title that best represents the discovery or invention you are setting out to make that will positively impact the world. A suitably good title is worth more than riches, silver, gold, and rhodium.
16. How to get every aspect of research done from the title (problem identification) to completion of the target invention and dissemination are exceptionally presented in Research: Make Impossibility Possible.
The improvement of the educational process and the advancement of people, society, and the world all depend on research. The book Research: Make Impossibility Possible superbly educates the user on how to get research done, make crucial inventions, innovations, and discoveries that turn impossibilities into possibilities and make unsolvable problems solvable for the enhancement of people, improvement of society and the world’s advancement.
What is one piece of advice you wish someone had given you when you were younger?
I wish someone had given me the idea that I can invent whatever I set my mind on and do everything it takes to invent it. I wish to have been informed to love the making of inventions above everything else and to see invention-making opportunities in everything. I wish I were enlightened to emulate the mindset, thoughts and actions of prolific inventors. I wish I were made to learn to concentrate on making inventions and discoveries of great value to humankind. I wish to have been made from childhood to treasure eminent researchers and their works and to readily invest in self-development to invent essential products.
It would have been wonderful if I had learnt much earlier that it is only by creating, inventing, discovering, and innovating products of great value and rendering highly useful service that a person can best accelerate to his maximum potential attainment. I wish to have known when I was younger that practice makes excellent in the making of inventions. I wish I learnt much earlier never to procrastinate the taking of extraordinary actions upon which making the target invention depends. I wish to have been informed to take all the necessary massive actions for the actualization of the inventions I craved making.
How I wish to have been informed to write daily for four hours on making any invention I had craved to turn impossibility into possibility and unsolvable problem into solvable one. Just why was I not educated to demonstrate exceptional bravery and courage in research execution to turn an impossibility into a possibility and an unsolvable into a solvable problem? It could have been much better if I had been enlightened early enough to overcome every obstacle to complete every invention- making journey I embarked on. I should have, much earlier, bravely and courageously made all the investments and sacrifices the inventions I craved to make demanded.
Above all, I wish there had been a book that contains extraordinarily rich information on research and invention-making, as articulated in Research: Make Impossibility Possible. The difficulties that the lack of relevant information on research and invention-making made me pass through to get many inventions done have been eliminated for all subsequent aspiring inventors as the book Research: Make Impossibility Possible has been written and published. The book has cleared the path to invention-making as it serves as the best hands-on guide and resource material for aspiring inventors to achieve their goals with the greatest ease.
In the past, the era before the publication of Research: Make Impossibility Possible, only extremely few out of millions of people who attempted research execution made the target inventions. Henceforth, Research: Make Impossibility Possible has been written and published, and virtually all those who study, learn and apply the exceptionally rich information in the book can easily get research done and accomplish their target inventions timely. Get a copy, study, and apply the book in executing research to successfully make your target inventions with great ease and on time.
What is one thing that you hope readers take away from Research: Make Impossibility Possible?
Users of the book will certainly realize that it is their fundamental human right, responsibility, duty, and obligation to execute research and invent crucial products and services that turn current impossibilities into possibilities for the best good of humankind. They have to realize that they can invent anything they set their minds on inventing by doing everything it demands.

Tickling is Bizarre
Posted by Literary_Titan

Almost Everything You Wanted to Know About Tickling is a fascinating study on a topic that is not often discussed or looked at from the unique perspective of women. Why did you want to write about subjects such as tickling?
Tickling is bizarre physiologically and psychologically. On balance, it must be a good thing or humans would not have evolved to become ticklish in a way that is different from all other animals. On the other hand, tickling is often unpleasant and detrimental to relationships. Any behavior that causes many different kinds of positive and negative consequences, none of which are well-understood, is worth exploring.
The second reason I wanted to write this book was that I was especially qualified to do so. Not only did I have excellent experience using the necessary methodologies during a long career in academic research, but I was retired. Tickling is not a respected topic, and active researchers who pursue it risk their careers.
What were some goals you set for yourself as a writer in this book?
My goals changed throughout the study. They appeared in the following order.
1. Design a method for an independent researcher working alone to study tickling?
2. Identify the most interesting questions that could be studied about tickling. I found many, but the ones most thoroughly explored in the book were how ticklish are women throughout the world, and how much did women throughout the world enjoy being tickled.
3. Evaluate what characteristics of the women influence how ticklish they are and how much they liked being tickled.
4. Finally, I wanted to present respectable science so that it would be understandable and interesting to the general reader. I predicted that scientists would consider this topic trivial, but some general readers would be curious. This book is for them.
How much research did you undertake for this book, and how long did it take to put it all together?
This book involved a huge amount of research over more than four years. Much of the research I did was left out of the book because my target audience was the general reader. I spent more than a year trying to hire someone who could write this book for me. When I realized that was not possible, I spent another couple of years writing it myself.
What is the next book that you are writing and when will that be published?
You sound like my wife. I have ideas for several possible books on the topic of how people relate to each other. I’m not far enough along on any of them to make a meaningful prediction of when one might be completed.

Why read this book.It is the best book about tickling that has been written. Since it’s the only book about tickling, that’s not a big claim, but it is a good book.
It makes you think about why tickling evolved and what good it may do.
The information is interesting and socially important.
It provides fodder for book groups and informal conversations.

Almost Everything You Wanted to Know About Tickling: An International Study
Posted by Literary Titan

Duncan Taub’s Almost Everything You Wanted to Know About Tickling delves into the curiously underexplored world of tickling, challenging the common assumption that tickling is a trivial subject. Taub’s comprehensive research spans various cultures and demographics, providing a refreshing perspective on this often-overlooked aspect of human behavior. His commitment to treating tickling as a serious research subject is evident throughout the book, offering a rich blend of information on its prevalence, cultural perceptions, and societal boundaries.
Taub’s work stands out for its depth and rigor. It effectively argues for the significance of tickling in understanding human social interaction. He approaches this topic with a commendable balance of academic diligence and engaging storytelling. His exploration of tickling’s evolutionary origins and its varied responses—from laughter to discomfort—highlights the complexity of this phenomenon. His willingness to address the uncomfortable or ‘icky’ aspects of tickling adds an honest and candid layer to the narrative.
The book excels in making academic research accessible and engaging. Taub skillfully navigates between scholarly discourse and reader-friendly language, ensuring the content resonates with lay readers and seasoned researchers. He thoughtfully explains his statistical data clearly, and his flexible approach to the material allows readers to engage with the book according to their interests. Taub’s transparent and curiosity-driven research process, evident even in the book’s title, invites readers into a world of scientific exploration. His concise summary of key findings and implications towards the end of the book is a testament to his thoughtful consideration of the reader’s experience.
Almost Everything You Wanted to Know About Tickling could potentially open new avenues of inquiry in the field. Taub’s meticulous work and novel perspective make this a noteworthy addition to scientific literature. This book is compelling for anyone with an open mind, whether they are casually curious or deeply involved in research.

For Such a Time as This
Posted by Literary Titan

Ernest Clark is not your average author. This is evident in how he lays out his thoughts, his method of expounding on subjects, and how forthcoming he is with his takes. In his book For Such a Time as This: Let My People Go, You End-Times Doomsday Sayers!, the author shows the reader a different side of religion, as he breaks down the bible, scriptures, and God.
I enjoyed how the author reveals facts and gives readers time to digest one subject before moving to the next. This educational book primarily concentrates on biblical prophecies, holy teachings, and disproving the message of false prophets. The author draws comparisons and contrasts between ancient and modern prophets, framing his thoughts in a rational and non-biased manner. Readers will see how different 1st century Christianity is compared to today’s Christianity.
Clark guides his readers on how to interpret the word of God, and how to read, analyze, and shun false prophets and phonies that lie in the name of God. This book is eye-opening disproving the lies and myths that false prophets have peddled.
As you read the book, you will notice how genuine and open the author is. I love that Clark is consistent with his truthfulness and uses historical facts and happenings to support his concepts. One of my favorite discussions was about the end times and the tales peddled about the coming of Jesus again. Clark’s writings on eschatology and salvation were among my favorites.
For Such a Time as This: Let My People Go, You End-Times Doomsday Sayers! is an incredible book for people that have studied or want to study theology, as the author gives additional information that may not be known to contemporary theologians and Christians in general. This book is also a great read for believers and followers of Christ. The author is transparent in his message and will help you in your religious journey.

For Such a Time as This: Let My People Go, You End-Times Doomsday Sayers! is a sacred book that discusses bible stories, prophets, contemporary Christians, the end of times, the holy scripture, and religion in general. Author Ernest Clark takes the reader on a wild ride of the teachings of Christ, religious beliefs, faith, and God. In a captivating manner, Ernest Clark expounds on various concepts and spiritual topics, Introducing unheard-of views and tales. The author is candid and forthright to the reader. This book will have you critically think about your beliefs and question some of the practices you partake in.
Not many religious books are laid out like For Such a Time as This. This book may appear peculiar to some, but there is a sense in what the author writes about. Ernest Clark gets the reader to understand the Bible differently and paints a new picture of God. The content is not for those reserved about their religious life. The author is raw, bold, talks about unorthodox topics, and is not afraid of speaking his mind. To understand where he is coming from, the author talks about his relationship with God, the times he fell short of the glory of God, and how he got back to his faith. He writes immaculately and can capture the reader’s interest with ease.
Ernest Clark made the reading experience easy as he shared his thought by talking about his life, journey in faith, and spirituality. The discussions by the author are sober and can appear radical for some staunch Christians as the author is raw. However, I like how passionate Ernest Clark is about false prophets and the end of times. Reading this book will enlighten you on the false prophets of today and help you analyze those that use prophesy to manipulate God’s people.
When discussing Doomsday, the author is armed with attributes based on his research, historical occurrences, and known beliefs. I like that the mention of Doomsday does not send a shiver down my spine when discussed by Ernest Clark. This is because the author understands the art of wording and uses phrases that readers can relate to without feeling fearful. Ernest Clark is excellent at demonstrating how faith works and debunking myths and false beliefs.
Apart from false prophets and Doomsday, other topics that I immensely enjoyed were new heaven and earth, death and resurrection, and the new testament. You feel refreshed by the end of the reading and learn dozens of religious jargon. I enjoyed reading For Such a Time as This: Let My People Go, You End-Times Doomsday Sayers! Because of how natural Ernest Clark is when writing and how articulate he is when expressing his thoughts.

So, You’re Raising Your Grandkids!
Posted by Literary Titan
It is common to see grandparents raise their grandkids. The reasons vary from the children getting in trouble, passing away, divorce, teen pregnancies, parents being in jail, not being in a capacity to raise the kids, or not having the right parental skills. Grandparents raising grandkids may seem easy, but it’s not. Harriet Hodgson takes us through the struggles, the fun times that create the relationship children have with their grandparents.
Harriet Hodgson uses real-life example to delivery some poignant and sage advice. She raised her daughters’ children, and so speaks from a position of experience throughout the book, but not as a teacher, more as a knowing grandparent. The kids were twins and raising them was an amazing experience. The author notes how difficult it can be when grandkids ask for information which you think would be best explained by their parents. Losing her daughter was painful. Grieving for her daughter, the twin’s father, her brother, and father in law was among the lowest moments in her life.
This book reads like a parenting guide for grandparents. Some may feel that, since they are grandparents, they know how to raise kids. But remember, you are raising kids from a different perspective now and this book illuminates those differences and helps you tackle them. The author writes about family values and helps one understand what children want and how they should be treated. Raising teens can be an uphill task for anyone. The writer shares her experience raising her grandkids in their teen years, and how adolescents react to issues.
The tips Harriet Hodgson shares should be mastered by everyone as they will always come in handy at some point in life. The book is written in a flowing style, with the author listing her thoughts then explaining later in detail. This book not only educates you on parenting, but also helps to understand and cope with grief.
Throughout the bok Harriet Hodgson words are backed by research and science. That is the other amazing thing about this book. Everything listed is a fact, and one gets to understand how some families come to be. From the texts in the book, one can tell that Harriet is excellent at care-giving.
I’ve learned a lot just by reading this book. Mourning can take a toll on someone, but there is always that period where you rise up. The author did well by talking about stress and the effect it has on kids and how one should take care of their health. You understand how you can encourage a child to aim higher and get to the peak in everything they do.
