CARE GIVING GIFT OF UNCONDITIONAL LOVE
Posted by Literary Titan
Caregiving Gift of Unconditional Love is an emotional book for me not just because of the content in the book, but also how the author shared the stories. While reading this book, you readers learn that caregiving is a calling and you have to put your heart and soul into it. One of the most crucial elements that one needs to be a caregiver is patience. Taking care of someone, especially an adult, is not easy. The experience can take a toll on you especially if you are not aware of what proper caregiving entails. This is why families often opt to seek professional caregivers even when there are other members in the family that can do the work. A good caregiver requires patience and understanding of the person that you are taking care of.
David Soh Poh Huat starts the book on a personal note. He gives tales of his family, the struggles people he was close with have gone through, happy memories, and how he managed to overcome everything. As a reader, you appreciate David Soh Poh Huat’s journey because in the process, you learn the diverse dynamics of life and how different people navigate eccentric and sometimes difficult situations. As a reader, you enjoy following the tales in the book. Reading this book will have you relate with him and even connect with his experiences. The author writes candidly and is excellent with storytelling and amazing when passing lessons.
The book is a great read and will make you teary at some points. Reading about cancer and how it affected the author was distressing. David Huat writes about his sister’s Ovarian Cancer diagnosis, how she lived with the deadly disease and how the author cared for her. The author also writes about his father and how he took care of him after he had a fall. Reading about the stories of David’s father and sister, plus other people that he has taken care of is inspiring. You get encouraged to do good and better your skills as a caregiver. The personal touch to the stories shared by David Huat were everything. The author brings the reader to his world, a world where despite being challenged, real love is displayed through taking care of those close to you.
Caregiving Gift of Unconditional Love is a short but enlightening book. Through the author, we learn how to coexist with others and get lessons on how to give care with unconditional love. The author also talked of siblings that are not open to caregiving, a difficult conversation that not many are ready to talk about. I like how open minded the author is and how firm he is when talking about family members. This book is a great read for individuals that are looking for inspiration on caregiving.

My Welcome Book : A Children’s Book Celebrating the Arrival of a New Baby
Posted by Literary Titan
My Welcome Book is a delightful and heartwarming children’s book that tells the reader how special they are, how wonderful the world is, and to be kind to others, all in simple but lyrical rhymes that are sure to capture your child’s imagination.
There is no story in this book. I suppose the story is life, and the celebration is you. This book is splendid, the poetry is exquisite and potent in its simplicity. This picture book sends a heartfelt message of inspiration to readers and does so with easy to understand words. I can easily imagine reading this book to a newborn baby, rocking them to sleep as I read them this melodic story. Nearly every page has brilliant sketch artwork that kids will be able to relate. All of it was eye catching and fit the tone of the story.
This is a fantastic picture book for parents with young children or babies as this is a wonderful book to read to them and send a positive message of diversity, kindness, and self-acceptance.

Thiago the Tiger and the Light Within
Posted by Literary Titan
Thiago the Tiger and the Light Within is a charming children’s story about a tiger that is born with colorful stripes that glow. Although he is a cute and magnificent little cub, the children at school make fun of him. But when things get dark on a school trip, only Thiago the tiger can save the day.
This is a very colorful and bright book, which suits the idea of Thiago the tiger having multicolored stipes that shine. This story reminds me of Rudolf the Red Nose reindeer and how he was shunned because of the very thing that made him special. Author Vanessa Caraveo has a written a simple story that easily conveys a powerful message of acceptance.
This is a fun and educational children’s picture book that shows kids how to recognize the differences in others and see the beauty in those differences. Children will surely be drawn to all the colorful art throughout this book and they will easily be able to pick up on all of Thiago’s emotions as well.
Thiago the Tiger and the Light Within is highly recommended for parents and teachers with children that are learning about diversity and inclusion.

Build Their Careers to New Levels
Posted by Literary Titan

The Communications Consultant’s Foundation explains and educates readers on various topics that will help them excel in their personal and professional lives. Why was this an important book for you to write?
I feel very lucky to have found my way onto this career path unintentionally. If I had known about it earlier in life, I think I could have been even more successful sooner – so, I wanted to get the knowledge out to others as quickly as I could. However, I didn’t know what the most important aspects were to focus on, before I started outlining the content. The more I thought about it, the more I added, and I shuffled things around until I felt like I had a pathway that would bring others along constructively. What you’ve read is the first half of the book I originally conceived. The companion “Master Plan” volume will be out by year’s end, and it gets even more specific with proprietary contract language (thanks to the illustrious Michael Terpin, my former boss) and what amounts to a blue-print to operating a successful PR consultancy. I hope a lot of people will follow your lead and use what I’ve written to build their careers to new levels, even if they are starting out from scratch.
What is a common misconception you feel people have about public relations?
There are quite a few colorful and widespread misconceptions. Many years ago at a trade show, I saw an older gentleman in a crowd, shaking everyone’s hands as fast as he could grab them and passing out his business cards like a machine. I think I still have the business card: The logo was two hands shaking, and the headline read “Mister PR.” There’s that classic “Flim-Flam Man” version, and now, you can watch PR aces working magic on TV, like those advising the Roy family on “Succession.” A lot of people don’t understand that much of the work of PR has to do with writing. There is a skill set that can be learned, especially for those willing to exercise their writing abilities and commit to ongoing learning to stay sharp. There is a lot of overlap with “Influencers,” and when a PR person is especially successful, that’s what they become.
What is a recent trend in public relations that you feel has the potential to change things?
Things are always changing. One of the things that is encouraging to me about this field is, I feel there are a lot of layers to it (and everywhere, smart practitioners helping themselves and others be more successful). My book references this article I love, from publicity expert Joan Stewart: “How to Publicize a Garden Walk and Other Local Events.” (http://ow.ly/pOhH30dHOuv) That article teaches people exactly how to use the PR skill set very productively – which is potentially life-changing for those who read it. I mentioned Influencers … they are an immense force at work in marketing communications worldwide. As you know, I am optimistic ; I have a sense of a growing population of smart communicators who are going to unite superpowers for good.
What do you hope is one thing readers take away from your book?
There are a few – all are addressed in your review. I’m hoping people will see a new way to work, pursue it, and own it. As those sparks fly, a new communications consultant will start shaping their own success, then another, and another. I will be celebrating each one like a proud papa.

Five Mile Charlie: A Special Pony for Carly
Posted by Literary Titan
This is a very creative and fun story following a little girl named Carly who has everything she ever wanted except a pony. Luckily Queen bee Nora is near by and sets out to fulfill Carly’s wish by finding her a pony. But the white fluffy animal she finds for Nora is not a pony, it is a llama named Charlie.
I really loved how Charlie and Carly become fast friends. It really shows kids how to be accepting of others and the gifts they are given. Carly is also a fantastic character that shows how to work hard and be thankful for the things in your life. She could have easily been upset that her wish for a pony was not fulfilled but instead she accepted Charlie into her life with zeal.
Every page of this delightful book has charming art with a soft color palette that is very appealing. Every animal is cute and I had a hard time turning the page because my child did not want to stop looking at the cute critters that litter the pages. She was especially fond of the Yorkie.
Five Mile Charlie: A Special Pony for Carly is a fun children’s book that will take young readers on a cute farm adventure where they will meet interesting characters and learn valuable lessons in fun ways.

BIRDS AND HUMANS: WHO ARE WE?
Posted by Literary Titan
Birds and Humans: Who are we? The Miracles of Earth by David Campbell Callender is actually written in the memory and honor of the gentle Irish Naturalist by his granddaughter Ruth Finnigan. She has used the affectionate account and the same photographs as he might’ve used. Since Ruth is an anthropologist and thus has no expert knowledge of birds, the book deliberately strays away from the use of specialist terminologies and Latin names. The book is a refreshingly different take on the usual encyclopedias about birds; rather, it talks about birds with a child-like fascination.
The book talks about the parallels and contrasts between the world of humans and birds. It draws out the idea that even though we’ve had very different ancestries, with birds being the last living species of dinosaurs and humans sharing ancestry with the apes, there is more in common between the two than one would expect.
While I enjoyed the book and found the information in it to be enlightening, I thought the book could have benefited from formatting, but otherwise the information readers will find within will more than satisfy your curiosity on the subject.
Birds and Humans: Who are we? provides a plethora of facts about birds and does it with an air of enchantment on the subject that I find rare in nonfiction books. The author’s deep connection with the birds is clear and awe-inspiring. I would recommend this book to anyone curious about birds and to readers who are looking for a light but informative book.

The whole Covid experience has turned everyday school upside down. I wanted to try to smooth the path to get to a more normal way of schooling.
Covid hasn’t gone away—and may never go away completely—but hopefully this book can bring normalcy to a person’s college experience than would typically be the case.
What is a common misconception you feel people have about going to college?
The students think everything must have changed a lot since their parents were in school. However, the practical things are much the same, and we all need to know about those.
Keeping track of your health, especially with Covid, is so important. You need to follow the rules. The details have changed, but the bigger-picture issues have stayed the same—such as health, eating, and living quarters.
What were some ideas that were important for you to explore in this book?
With Covid, yes, health has always been a concern, but how does Covid change a person’s approach to maintaining their health?
Some of the latest learning techniques, including virtual and hybrid, have changed things in the classroom setting and so has technology. What does school look like now?
What do you hope is one thing readers take away from your book?
Taking care of all the practical, everyday ins and outs of things will make the entire college experience so much better.

Ask Uncle Neil: Why is my hair curly?
Posted by Literary Titan
Ask Uncle Neil: Why is my hair curly? is an educational children’s book that explains why some people have curly hair and why some people have straight hair. Young Anthony is getting ready for a recital. When combing his hair he begins to wonder what would happen if he grew his hair long. His mother tells him that his hair would be harder to comb because it is curly. Anthony wonders why that is so and in the absence of answers they decide to call Uncle Neil who is a scientist.
I found this book to be wonderfully educational on several layers. I have always wondered why some people have curly hair while others have straight hair. The book presents several explanations and even explains why some people have oily hair and other people do not. All with bright and simple illustrations that any child will understand. I also enjoy the idea that, when in doubt, ask a scientist. This book teaches young kids about hair, but also teaches them a little bit about the scientific process by telling them what a ‘scientific consensus’ is.
All the art in the book is colorful hand drawn art that children will surely be able to relate to. This is a fantastic book to educate young readers and inspire them to find more answers through science. This is one of the best kids book I have read that sets up a question and then answers it in an straightforward and entertaining way while promoting diversity and science at the same time. Ask Uncle Neil: Why is my hair curly? is a fun picture book that will educate readers as it entertains them.
