Non Obvious Megatrends
Posted by Literary Titan

Rohit Bhargava understands that today’s actions significantly impact the kind of future we have as human beings. In his informative book, Non Obvious Megatrends: How to See What Others Miss and Predict the Future, the author vastly talks about the present, emerging trends, technology, economics, governance and politics, policymaking, the environment, and the status quo. Rohit Bhargava has classified his inspirational book into 3 sections; the Art of Non Obvious Thinking, where he discusses the outlook and approach of non-obvious thinking and concepts, Non obvious megatrends in section two, and previous trends reports on the last section. The second section has highlighted megatrends discussed in-depth, and part 3 analyzes prior trends.
You will get futuristic ideas in this book and learn how to build an empire by going through Rohit Bhargava’s methods. The author shares different methods of operation that one can use to achieve their set goals. One of the significant lessons I learned from this book is that nothing is unachievable. Major trends today were once small ideas started by creative minds that put the work in to transform them. While discussing current and megatrends, the author uses real-life examples and expounds on how specific trends have worked. Reading this book will expose you to daily happenings that you probably overlook. He also gives concrete advice on a dozen current trends.
In Non Obvious Megatrends: How to See What Others Miss and Predict the Future, Rohit Bhargava gets the reader to fall in love with new trends. Cultural trends, entrepreneurial trends, tech, and new systems. The author talks about attention being the most treasured resource in the information economy. The author uses examples from various countries in Europe and the Middle East to show how attention is valuable.
Rohit Bhargava includes personal stories and past experiences to make his content easy to follow. I love that he engages with the reader in different ways, one being pausing to ask readers questions and creating hypothetical situations for the reader to think about. The author is insightful, rational, practical, clear with his agenda, and inspiring.
Non Obvious Megatrends: How to See What Others Miss and Predict the Future, is the book you need if you are in charge of strategic business planning, are an entrepreneur, or looking for the best marketing strategies out there right now. The fantastic content in the book will help you see the world for what it is, and not the illusion that is sold by some.

Keep My Passion Alive
Posted by Literary_Titan

The Communications Consultant’s Master Plan outlines the steps that people should follow to have a successful career in public relations. Why was this an important book for you to write?
To clarify just a bit, this book is definitely intended to help people have successful PR careers – but it is also more focused on independence, and building, operating, and even selling one’s own shop. Since finding my way onto this career path, I’ve felt very fortunate. What exactly did I learn that allowed me to become self-employed, land clients, build success, and enjoy the many rewards that make up what many people call a dream career? My goal was to put everything that seemed essential on the table, in the hope that it would work as a blueprint others could follow to blaze their own trails and build their own businesses.
I want to add – together with its companion volume, “The Communications Consultant’s Foundation,” these two books give readers everything I had in mind to share, and a lot more. Many of the brightest people I’ve ever known contributed content for the greater good. Importantly, thanks to my PR industry mentor and former boss Michael Terpin, book two also contains invaluable contract language that can be used to establish win-win relationships with readers’ own clients. It took me over a decade of exploratory diligence after college graduation to gain access to this particular key to the kingdom. Thanks to Michael’s generosity, everyone who reads “Master Plan” has direct access to it, and all the other information they need to know to land and manage accounts successfully.
What is one piece of advice someone gave you that changed your life?
In a letter I still hold onto, our dear family friend, Mrs. Gay Henderson, made a very big deal over something I wrote back in 1995. In that, she urged me to “keep my passion alive in my writing.” A little of that kind of encouragement can go a long way, and I am still able to warm myself at the virtual bonfire she made for me, to make me feel like my writing was important and worthy of a larger audience.
What do you hope is one thing readers take away from your book?
With book one, I wanted to illuminate a new way of working and provide the guidance and toolset to help anyone exploit it. With “Master Plan,” as mentioned, readers have everything they need to launch their careers as independent consultants, build a business according to their ambitions and passions, and plan out the rest of their career in extraordinarily fulfilling ways. My hopes are being achieved each time someone proceeds on this path, due to what I’ve written.
What is the next book that you are working on and when will it be available?
Yes. More extended writing projects are in the works, and I appreciate you asking about them. I hope your readers will visit my website, sign up for my mailing list, and keep in touch with me. There is a great deal shaping up, and I am seriously looking forward.

Finding Balance and Success
Posted by Literary_Titan

Birth of a Unicorn shares the six steps to success that you learned throughout your life. Why was this an important book for you to write?
I wanted to show people that you don’t stop being yourself when you go to work — everything that you do at home affects the way we approach work, and the things we do at work affect our home life. By writing a book that seamlessly integrates the stories of my life, relationships, and work — including the failures and successes along the way — I hope that others are able to step into the adventure and see a bit of themselves — and then be able to apply more of these frameworks to themselves.
What is a common misconception you feel people have about entrepreneurship?
So many people look at Instagram images and youtube videos of entrepreneurs with fancy lifestyles and talking about the hustle culture and think it’s this glamorous thing. What they don’t realize is that it’s years of low or no pay, 80-100 hour work-weeks, and struggling just to make ends meet in the hopes that you might one day hit the lottery and be able to afford to have a normal life. It’s anything but comfortable, all for the illusion of freedom from “the man.”
What is one piece of advice you would give to someone who’s struggling to balance their career and personal lives?
I always recommend that people take stock of what they’re actually doing in their day — start by writing a journal of their week, and the amount of time they spend on each activity. They’ll quickly find that the things they want to can easily be swapped in for things that they are doing that are of low value to them but are being done out of habit, or that they’re wasting time doing a lot of things that they really don’t want or need to do.
Many people don’t have the luxury of being able to control how much they work, or even who they work for — but you do have the choice of what to do with the time you’re not spending at work.
What is the next book that you are working on and when will it be available?
The next book I’m working on is a compilation I’ve contributed to on the future of work — it will be available this spring. Check my website for more information!

I Wanted To Challenge The Narrative
Posted by Literary Titan

Your Next Big Idea: Improve Your Creativity and Problem-Solving takes readers through the mental process of turning their ideas into actions. Why was this an important book for you to write?
My inspiration came after noticing an omission in entrepreneurship education. When students learn about entrepreneurship, teachers refer to already successful companies, like Google or Apple, but rarely talk about how those founders developed and cultivated their ideas in the first place. This type of teaching does a disservice to students. It can lead to frustration as people ask questions like, “Why didn’t I think of that?” It can also lead to confusion and even damage a person’s creative confidence. Many who experience this omission wonder if they would ever be able to develop an innovative idea, permanently labeling themselves as “not creative.” I wanted to challenge the narrative around how we teach entrepreneurship by creating a nonfiction work that teaches readers how the top creatives and innovators develop ideas in the first place. I do this by taking a step back and examining the ideation process to serve as a foundation for entrepreneurial development.
As someone who grew up where language arts was my weakest subject, I wanted to challenge the typical design of a nonfiction book. I wondered whether a nonfiction book could be redesigned to be a better teaching tool for readers. Research from the University of Chicago, Boston University, and University of Texas show that experiential learning increases comprehension of a subject. While typical books use text and pictures to relay information, I realized that rethinking communication entirely would provide readers the best chance to learn and absorb information. Throughout the book, I included 54 exercises meant to take the reader on an experiential journey that helps them better reinforce and explore the information presented.
What is one piece of advice you wish someone had given you when you were younger?
The hardest part of accomplishing work is often getting the courage to get started. Once you form a routine it is like a slow-moving train that keeps inching closer and closer until you cross the finish line!
Also if you have a risky idea, try it now. Don’t wait. You never quite know where the idea will take you and you can always stop along the way.
What is one piece of advice someone gave you that changed your life?
It was, “Write about what you know.” If you feel like you have expertise about something, write about it. Putting out a published work in nonfiction will increase your credibility on the subject. This can ultimately lead to new career opportunities, new personal opportunities, and new connections.
What is the next book that you are working on and when will it be available?
I currently have a couple of ideas I am working on! None of them are quite final yet, but I hope to be able to put another creative work out there soon!

Birth of a Unicorn: Six Basic Steps to Success
Posted by Literary Titan

Birth Of A Unicorn, Six Basic Steps To Success by Heather Wilde is an insightful business book littered with autobiographical elements that detail the author’s journey to success. Wilde exudes wisdom as she details six practical steps to finding success in her own life and career through Uncertainty, Significance, Love/Connection, Growth, Contribution, and Certainty. In this book, the reader is taken through each of the steps with examples learned through life experiences, mistakes, adventures, and achievements of Wilde, her husband, and cats. From the six steps, one unifying idea is that our identity is connected with our search for happiness.
An endearing read, Birth Of A Unicorn enchanted me with the success story of Heather & her husband. Ups and downs of their marriage and careers were exposed in the hopes that their experiences would be helpful to the reader. Their cats played a pivotal role in their travels and gave some comedic relief to the seriousness of some encounters. This book kept me rooting for the author and her husband, as they left meandered careers and eventually found work as partners together for Evernote.
In Birth Of A Unicorn, we see the loss of jobs, pursuit of education, relocating for new jobs, the chase of dreams, and travel to foreign countries. Adventurous and thrilling, this book had me captivated from the beginning. Overall, I was left with a sense of achievement as I rooted for Wilde and her search for identity and happiness. She had seemingly found what we would classify as success, and in finding that success, continued looking ahead to the future.
The author does a great job keeping readers captivated in her story, while also leaving room for readers to reflect upon their own path to success. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for an uplifting memoir that takes you through entrepreneurship and family life and leaves you feeling like anything is possible.
