Godly Riddims
Posted by Literary Titan

Godly Riddims by Dianne Lindsay is an uplifting and inspiring book that portrays God’s love and devotion through riddims and melody. The author excellently weaves faith, praise, and worship with the musicality of riddims to create a one-of-a-kind and captivating reading experience. The idea of the book is the show God’s nature and character, emphasizing his love, mercy, and grace toward us. It also encourages readers to consider their relationship with God and to seek a deeper understanding of his will and purpose for their lives.
The book takes a poetic approach, encouraging readers to incorporate praise and worship into their lives. Lindsay intersperses personal anecdotes and testimonies of God’s greatness in her life throughout the book. She uses these rich illustrations to share her views of how God can work in people’s lives and hopefully bring hope and healing. While the book is written for a faith-based audience, it is also beautifully written and aims to inspire readers.
The author uses poetic and evocative language to capture the reader’s attention. I noticed it also contains some inspirational verses from the Bible that are meant to help boost the overall impact of the book’s message. It was a motivational book, and I couldn’t help being wowed at the author’s level of creativity in writing these powerful riddims.
I believe readers looking for faith-based inspiration and encouragement to explore their faith and devotion to God will enjoy this book and consider it a must-read. It’s a book I would highly recommend, Godly Riddims by Dianne Lindsay, to Christians who want to deepen their relationship with God and motivate them to give praise to God every day.

Bittersweet
Posted by Literary Titan

Bittersweet by Pablo Camacho is an anthology that reflects life’s joys, sorrows, and thrills, especially in intimate relationships. The author grapples with our ups and downs in a series of evocative poems and prose. I found the writing reflective and sensitive, with references to a life lived fiercely, with intensity, and passion. It’s also about enduring pain and learning to heal and grow.
This collection is emotionally resonant and impactful. I was instantly hooked from the beginning with “May the Wander Never Lose its Lust.” There are many philosophical themes that are thought-provoking, with visuals of untamed nature, oceans, sky, wind, and trees. I enjoyed the imagery integrated into the personal expressions of the author and how they describe life’s wild yet sensitive nature.
The poems delve into the internal landscape, reflecting on the practice and meaning of writing itself. The prose captures the experiences in a raw, natural form through life, love, and death. I really enjoyed how the writing style is well crafted and how the author speaks with humility and reality.
Bittersweet by Pablo Camacho is an authentic collection that details his personal life through a series of poetry and prose written with great skill, eloquence, and knowledge. It’s a passionate collection that I highly recommend to fans of poetry.

SPORT: A STAGE FOR LIFE
Posted by Literary Titan

In Sport: A Stage for Life: How To Connect With the Touchstones of Elite Performance And Personal Fulfillment, readers are immersed in the world of Water Polo and other sports as the authors share interesting facts, aspects, and tips about their favorite sports and others. Cristiana Pinciroli and Pedro Pinciroli have written an intriguing and enlightening book that is relevant in both the world of sports and real life. Both father and daughter were professional water polo players who participated in major leagues and big tournaments worldwide. Cristiana played in Italy and captained the Brazilian national team for more than a decade, while her father, Pedro, represented Brazil at two Olympics, among other major sports events. As you read about the stories of these two prolific sports icons, you realize that sports are not just for fun, as they also play a critical role in the wellness of society.
I like how Cristiana starts the book. The author familiarizes the reader with her story, writing about her father’s achievements and how her inspiration for sports was born. Cristiana Pinciroli is an engaging author. Her writing gives one a sense of realization. When talking about her background and family, Cristiana makes the reader feel every moment of her writing. She chronicles funny stories and witty tales and is authentic in her writing. Cristiana’s love for the game is moving, and her dedication and passion are admirable. When writing about water polo, the author ensures that even readers that are not familiar with the game grasp how it is played. The readers get it all from the rules, how the scores are counted, training, and tips on being a good player and playing in big matches.
Sport: A Stage for Life is well written, and one of my favorite things in the book is the historical tidbits. There is a ton to learn about Latin America and the western world and the changes that have been happening over the years, whether in politics, sports, economic changes, and social transformations. One can draw many lessons from the authors’ lives and other sports professionals discussed in the book; endurance and competitiveness are some of the greatest elements of a great sportsman or sportswoman. Practice every chance you get and build your confidence with every game. Both big and small games are important, as there is something to learn.
Sport: A Stage for Life is an inspirational self-help book that gives readers insight into making personal transformations. This well-written book has 12 chapters that take you through the ins and outs of sports and enlighten you on life hacks. The authors may have written about sports, but shared lessons can help the reader in their day-to-day activities. Whether focusing on health, discipline, setting goals, being spirited, or following your dream, Cristiana and Pedro Pinciroli have tips that will help you elevate your mindset and whole being.

Change Your Destiny And Return To Power
Posted by Literary Titan

Return to Power tells your inspirational story of overcoming adversity and stepping out from the background after years of feeling insignificant. Why was this an important book for you to write?
I wrote this book because I wanted to give those who feel like they are stuck in the background a voice. To those wonderful people who, even with success in their lives, have for whatever reason been relegated to the background or are once again voiceless, those are the ones I want to help EMPOWER. I want them to feel their power and be on TOP of their game, becoming their most authentic selves.
I appreciated the candid nature with which you told your story. What was the hardest thing for you to write about?
The hardest thing to write about was the painful memories of feeling alone and not fitting in with all my classmates. My shyness held me back from pursuing my dreams. I wanted to be a journalist but without the proper support from my teachers it took me in a different direction. I settled for whatever was comfortable for me because I didn’t think I was good enough to do anything significant.
What were some ideas that were important for you to share in this book?
Some of the ideas I wanted to share in my book were of confidence, self-love, and compassion. Even though I went through a lot of challenges in life, I always hoped that one day I would conquer my demons feeling confident enough to prevent that negative inner voice from taking over. I did not grow up in a family that hugged so it was hard to feel love in that tactile way. When my dad told his friends my sister and I were not beautiful, I took that literally. For most of my life I felt shame and embarrassment when people complimented me because I couldn’t accept it. Having great teachers and mentors who were loving people helped me realize that I had to love myself first before I could love others unconditionally. If they weren’t compassionate and didn’t see potential in me, I would not have been able to see potential in others. This compassion brought me wisdom, gratitude, and an abundance of love to pursue my dreams, contribute to great causes, and pay it forward.
What is one thing you hope readers take away from your book?
The one thing I hope readers will take away from my book is to practice self-love and self-care daily so they can feel empowered to do anything their heart desires. I invested a lot of time and money into self-development so I could pursue my dreams. It took me many years. It is important to learn how to grow from a place of hurt, scarred by negative epithets, into the great human being you were meant to be by finding that inner love, removing the walls that have protected you for so long. No matter where you started in life, you can course correct and change directions any time to change your destiny and Return to Power!

Faith, Hope, and Other Verse
Posted by Literary Titan

Faith, Hope, and Other Verse is author Thomas Frackenpohl’s interpretation of the wonders the world has bestowed around his life, bound across several dozen short poems in this thought-provoking book.
Frackenpohl’s writing is reflective. An obvious theme across the numerous pieces is the somber opening tone. It generally brings with it a degree of melancholy that provokes the reader to evaluate their own personal circumstances and to uptake the lessons on the page that correlate with the theme of each verse. These, however, end on an uplifting note with an overall message that life is difficult at the best of times – all we owe to ourselves is to serve our souls kindly. Schoolings on the purpose of life, values, and morals alongside virtues are the foundations of this piece of work.
Overall, the structure of these verses results in scenic, quick reads that achieve the claims in the author’s note. Frackenpohl’s writing could have benefitted from being divided into sections with sub-themes for a greater reading experience and optimal impact.
The imagery has been achieved by showing the progressive aspect of the poem’s topic through a series of repeated verbs. The verse Possibilities is structured in such a way that forces the reader to acknowledge that opportunities will not be created without exploring or thinking outside the box. It fashions an urgency that something is happening that will leave the reader behind if they do not act immediately. The push for mental action encourages a revaluation of the reader’s present way of living towards a revolutionized purpose with capabilities ripe for the taking.
Faith, Hope, and Other Verse by Thomas Frackenpohl is the perfect read for those who are dabbling into introspection. With an overall well-rounded summary of life experiences, it is not overly heavy or complex and will suit a broad audience.

Journey On!
Posted by Literary Titan

Journey On! The Evolution of Thought by Caycee Johnson and Keith L. Johnson is an inspirational book full of wisdom. The authors take the reader through topics such as joy, encouragement, optimism, and peace. They share their thoughts on these key subjects by sharing their point of view, quotes from well-known personalities, and bible verses.
Each chapter of this well-written book is short, and the language is simple to comprehend, without many complex terminologies, enabling the reader to quickly grasp the essence of each section. Moreover, due to how the book is written, the reader could read the whole book in a short space or use the book as a devotional: choosing to reflect on a different topic each day.
The authors’ take on the subject of contentment is based on the foundation that tomorrow is not promised. The authors examine how we could all use this sentiment to be more content in life. Interestingly, the book also tackles the topic of a person’s inner circle. This section contained wise words from the author as well as included a prayer that the reader can pray for their family, allowing them to further reflect on their family members and their inner circle as a whole. The devotional book contains several prayers in other sections, which helps their reader become wiser and think about how these topics affect their heart too.
Each chapter in the book is full of encouragement and reminds me of how I felt when I read the book of Proverbs. Journey On! is thought-provoking but not a deep dive into a theological study. However, it does have critical reminders and thoughts that the reader can quickly reflect upon, and the book is ideal for anyone who wants to move forward in their life with more wisdom.

Poetry to Heal
Posted by Literary Titan

Poetry to Heal by Rodney Lyttaker is a collection of Christian-based poems and a few evocative songs that will inspire and comfort readers. It’s a curated collection of pieces on love, faith, grief, and gratitude, which are recurring themes throughout the book. The poems are short, impactful, and largely revolve around the author’s faith. Lyttaker’s poems are deeply personal, and his deep love for family and friends. The reader also gains a glimpse into the poet’s life and his nostalgic reflections on becoming a rockstar as a teenager, the tragic loss of his parents, and the devastation of Covid-19.
The poems are short, untitled, and appear to flow from one to the next so that the entire book connects each piece smoothly. The author uses wording that expresses his emotions and state of mind in a compelling way as he contemplates his faith while reflecting on the people he loves. I especially enjoyed the comforting words and passages throughout the poems and songs. Lyttaker expresses the same devotion to his faith as he does towards his father and family, which is refreshing and enjoyable to read.
I found the short sentences and concise writing ideal for expressing the author’s thoughts and emotions. A significant amount of gratitude and appreciation for life is a nice break from heavy reading, as Lyttaker’s style evokes more emotion and connection than thought-provoking analysis.
Poetry to Heal by Rodney Lyttaker is an inspirational and emotionally charged collection of poetry and songs. This book is direct in its content and theme of love, acceptance, and letting go of loved ones. It’s a well-written collection of poems and songs, with simple, easy-to-visualize wording and metaphors, with many references to nature, faith, and perseverance. It’s an easy read that’s enjoyable, simple, and comforting.

120 Seats in a Boiler Room
Posted by Literary Titan

Lewis Kempfer’s storytelling is incredible. How the author chronicles his early days, relations with friends, the family encounters as an adult, and everything in between is thrilling. In 120 Seats in a Boiler Room: The Creation of a Courageous Professional Theater, Lewis Kempfer narrates his and others’ stories about this beautiful theater in Nashville, how it came to be, and the impact it had on the community.
The author’s storytelling aside, this book is an exciting read because of how descriptive Lewis Kempfer is when recounting events, locations, objects and even people. You get the real picture just by reading the text and get the appeal of being part of the story. This exciting book will inspire individuals in the arts and those who dream of owning a theater or something similar.
In the book, the reader is transported to Nashville. There is a rundown boiler room filled with waste and unpleasantness. What to do with this boiler room? Enter four ambitious friends who could use the boiler room for something else. Lewis Kempfer and his buddies have a theater company looking into making this boiler room a theater. Converting this old, unused boiler room into something locals would treasure was beautiful. I enjoyed reading about the strategies the friends took, the brainstorming process, completing the whole thing, and how it served the people.
This fascinating book reads like a memoir, except it is not your typical memoir, as the author shares vital tips and also has guest authors chip in to tell the story. One moves from enjoying Lewis Kempfer’s personal stories to reading the how-to guides he shares to engaging with the letters to the editor. I appreciate having other individuals tell tales from their perspective, as it balances the author’s narration.
120 Seats in a Boiler Room is unique, the storytelling and narration are remarkable, but the lessons readers will take from this book are invaluable. Sharing lessons on subjects like learning audience demographics, casting, licensing, production, media and public relations, staffing, and other crucial matters are all included. This is an entertaining book for readers that love semi-autobiographies fused with how-to guides.
