Coaching Like a Champion
Posted by Literary Titan

Coaching Like a Champion: Eight Essential Building Blocks for Taking Any Sports Program to the Next Level is the ideal book for you if you are a coach or a trainer. The author gives a step-by-step guide on coaching like a pro and getting your players to reach their targets swiftly. In his book, Steve Miller gives direction, advises coaches, and uses real-life situations to expound on various topics. The author uses a warm and modest tone when talking about coaching. One can feel the enthusiasm Steve Miller has through his writing, and that he has vast knowledge on this subject.
In his book, Steve Miller wrote eight chapters, each focusing on elements that center on being the perfect coach. He discusses critical topics such as: communication, humility, accountability, mental toughness, passion, integrity, overcoming adversity, and never settling. One of the most vital subjects in the book is on communication, Steve Miller writes in-depth on how communication can either build or destroy a team. How coaches and players express themselves or exchange ideas is critical. The conversations in the locker room, pitch, or outside can determine the strength of a team. I found the author to be insightful, refreshing, and objective. The topic of communication is helpful not only to coaches but also to players.
Each of the chapters in the book has something that will enlighten the reader. How the author talks about experiences in the field and what he has observed over the years tell one that a lot of coaches need to have to be good in their craft. The topic of Mental Toughness was another favorite. While reading this chapter, I realized that it takes more than just physical strength to be a rated, first-rate player. The author has words of wisdom for coaches and gently lays down ways a coach can improve the player’s mental toughness while in practice. The author advises that coaches have a practical game plan. He also writes that by boosting players’ mental toughness, they can better their confidence, focus, composure, and performance.
By the end of the reading, the reader is well-versed in coaching and the crucial skills one needs to have as a coach. I loved most about the author’s ability to relate to what he was discussing. You do not need to be a coach to enjoy this book.
Coaching Like a Champion: Eight Essential Building Blocks for Taking Any Sports Program to the Next Level can help you advance your expertise in whatever field you are in. Self-Help and sports enthusiasts will equally find this book beneficial.

Scribblings of My Soul
Posted by Literary Titan

Scribblings of my Soul is a poetry collection by Preethi Saravankumar that consists of nine different themes. Each theme comes from a word in the sentence:
“SMILE with all your HEART gathering STRENGTH from LIFE, shedding any lingering PAIN to learn the TRUTH of LOVE and HOPE, walking towards the LIGHT.”
The entire book follows the number nine, with nine themes, nine poems, nine artworks, and nine different emotions. “Nine represents completion but not the end. It represents the end of one cycle as well as the transition”, the poet explains her choice of the number nine in the foreword.
The book is beautifully arranged with the right mix of text and monotone artwork by Juliana Duclos. It’s not just a compilation of beautiful, inspiring, and sincere poetry but also a total treat to the eye. The selection of the nine themes is different yet interlinked by a common thread, as depicted in the sentence above. There are more subtle connections within the poems as well. The poet establishes unique structures within her poetry, which one can find repeated across the book. For instance, the repetitive structure found in the poem “Mothers and Sons”
Let him walk his own path……
Let him breathe as much he’d like..….
Let him make his own decisions…..
It is again found in “In the End, it was All a Lie”
When you said, “I love you”…..
When you said, “ I miss you”…..
When you said,” I am there for you”…..
When you said, “My life is for you”…..
This familiarity of structure is almost comforting and many such similar but unique structures give this collection of poems a common link yet allow it to be diverse. The poems have logic leading to clever insight, simple imagery of nature, and an expression of human connection and emotion.
Scribblings of my Soul is a profound collection of poetry that will speak to people at all stages of their life. These poems touch on philosophy and emotions, the themes of nature and self-love all combine to create a unique reading experience.

Self-Love Toolbox
Posted by Literary Titan

After the last two years, we are all more than ready for a fresh start. The new year is the best time to reexamine our priorities and practice self-love. Unfortunately, while many make resolutions, few seem to keep them as the new year kicks off. It could be that accountability, or the lack thereof, is the reason many of us fail at keeping those bold New Year’s Day proclamations. Truly changing the way we look at ourselves and thoroughly examining our own goals takes time but is more than worth the time and effort it takes to do the work.
Self-Love Toolbox – Powerful Steps to Help Retool Your Life Starting Today! is a self-help book written by Wanda W. Garcia. Readers looking for a very formal, preachy text that takes lots of patience to pour through will not find it here. Instead, Garcia goes to great lengths to give readers a down-to-earth, easy-to-follow instruction manual for making much-needed changes in their lives. She makes no promises for miracles and her honesty is refreshing. In fact, much of the book reads like a conversation with a good friend.
Garcia writes in a conversational tone and low-pressure kind of way. This nine-step program is presented in a format that is easy to follow and puts all of the work and self-examination in the reader’s hands–accountability is the name of the game. In no uncertain terms, Garcia tells readers from the beginning that journaling is a requirement for the success of her program. She gives readers lots of space to respond to prompts and self-reflect within the book’s pages.
Unlike other self-help books that focus on the author’s story and personal experiences, this one instead puts the reader’s needs at the forefront. The Self-Love Toolbox is as much a workbook as it is expository text. Readers will not be disappointed in Garcia’s approach. Virtually every page is dedicated to self-analysis, whether it’s examining attributes and assets or making SMART goals. Garcia discusses the barriers we encounter and spends a significant amount of time helping readers dig deep into finding ways to overcome the obstacles that stand in the form of truly loving ourselves.
Self-Love Toolbox – Powerful Steps to Help Retool Your Life Starting Today! will appeal to readers looking for a new approach to life changes and self-improvement.

Posted by Literary Titan

Reach Your Dreams is eloquently written by Alice Chan to help us uncover our true selves by leaning into becoming more of what we are born to be: the creators of our own reality. “Once you make a decision, the universe conspires to make it happen.” This is the quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson that the author opens this fantastic book with. It is the base by which her book is founded. It teaches readers to trust the Universe or God, whatever name they would like to give it.
Alice Chan gives readers a refreshing and honest perspective to creating a beautiful, passionate, and inspired life. In a gentle yet firm voice, Chan tells readers how to remove the barriers in their life that keep them from being the best that they can be, even if it is themselves. She helps readers learn precisely how to tap into their potential and celebrate the life they create while reaching for their dreams.
She provides five steps that will give readers the best chance at success. The steps she elaborates on in her book are: releasing limiting beliefs, envisioning the life you want, acting on inner guidance, celebrating the good in your life, and honoring the current you. Each of these essential steps detailed in this through-provoking self-help book Alice Chan will help readers realize their potential.
This is the perfect book for anyone who’s ever felt scared or afraid of not making the necessary changes in their life to be successful. Reach Your Dreams gives readers the tools to picture and gain clarity on their dreams, release fear and doubt, and take inspired action towards their personal truth. Alice Chan truly helps readers regain the confidence to go after their dreams, allowing them to take control of their lives and live it the way they have always deserved.

The Mountains We Climb
Posted by Literary Titan

Anthony Baisden’s The Mountains We Climb offers readers incredible hope for their futures. As self-help books go, Baisden’s work is a true standout. His book has it all, from teaching readers to embrace the pain they encounter in their day-to-day lives to focusing on the vision they have for their lives. From cover to cover, Baisden uses a conversational tone to capture readers’ attention and keep them thoroughly engaged in his life story.
While Baisden’s work is short in terms of length, it is filled with genuinely invaluable information and advice. The author knows of which he speaks–the examples he gives from his own life are relevant, relatable, and memorable. He opens up about how he had no clue what he wanted from life at a young age. He shares his indecisiveness and even his complete lack of any direction for his future. Teens and young adults will find this relatable and draw them into the rest of the book. Its short length makes it ideal for young readers.
Readers will read about the pain Baisden experienced in his past that he openly shares. He is raw, honest, and totally forthcoming with every aspect of his history. His pain has impacted his life in many ways, and the fact that he is willing to share will stick with readers far past the last page.
There is an incredibly positive tone to all of Baisden’s advice. From his most painful experiences to his honesty about his own struggle with failures, he keeps his head up while successfully encouraging readers to do the same. It is easy to feel his positive energy radiating through his words. The lesson of, bad things happen but that does not mean you have a bad life, is presented to readers, not in a preaching manner but rather in a coaching manner.
The Mountains We Climb is a thought-provoking self-help book that teens and young adults will relate to. Young adults will also find this new-age motivational style a source of inspiration.

Unlike many self help book authors, Alphonsus Obayuwana does not just sell you hope, he shows you how you can navigate the difficult paths of life with ease. Reading How to Live a Life of Hope: A Roadmap for Achieving Personal Fulfillment is a gift you can give to yourself because the content in the book is refreshing. The author talks about succeeding in careers, building personal relationships, growing as an individual and building communities among other things.
The advice in the book is practical. As a reader, you will find logic in the steps that are described. I appreciate the author for talking about both the successes and challenges that human beings face. The author does not write about utopia, he instead tackles real issues and explains how one can live a fulfilling and happy life. The content in the book is serious but the author manages to add a little humor every once in a while. I enjoyed the light moments where the author shared a pun or funny jokes even when talking about grave issues. The content is not plain nor does the author get boring at any point. The topics are well articulated and the reader finds pure joy when reading.

She urges the reader to remain steadfast in prayer and frequently consult the word. She is not condescending and is fully understanding on everything life can take you through.
The author also recognizes that prayer may not be enough. She advises on the importance of watching who you relate with. Some people are only meant to be in your life momentarily. Through God’s grace, you can realize that. She also advises readers to do something to accompany the prayers. If you want to get out of the hole, you can pray to get a ladder but you would have to climb out yourself.
The author has created a brief yet insightful and incredibly useful set of lifehacks. Rarely do people mix prayer and proactivity when giving advice.
