Posted by Literary Titan
Do you love words? I mean really love them? Is etymology your cup of proverbial tea? Strange Bedfellows Vol. C: More Fun with Etymology will bring you the sheer joy you never knew you were missing. The brain child of Anil and illustrator, Kalpart, Strange Bedfellows contains a delightful compilation of super short stories alongside a humorous collection of word play. Page after page, Anil and Kalpart surprise readers with their unique brand of word play. Definitely designed for lovers of all things written, Strange Bedfellows is almost a genre all its own.
I have to admit that Anil and Kalapart give reading a whole new meaning. Nowhere else will you find an author putting the reader to work while simultaneously providing so much entertainment and satisfaction. From the outset, Strange Bedfellows is a workout for the brain as much as it is a lighthearted look into the mind of a true logophile.
Never one to shy away from a challenge, especially where words are concerned, I thoroughly enjoyed Anil and Kalpart’s work. I can honestly say I have never come across anything like Strange Bedfellows. While it’s a quick read, it’s a demandfing one. Readers who want a subtle storyline fraught with word play and a delightful curiosity on every page will revel in this work of scholarly art.
I highly recommend Anil and Kalpart’s compilation of what seems, at first, like the ramblings of a genius. Word nerds will appreciate each and every glorious word of Anil’s brand of literary whimsy. Strange Bedfellows Vol. C: More Fun with Etymology is a must read for any true bookworm.

Merren and the Heron
Posted by Literary Titan
Merren and the Heron, by Tony Dow is an adorable story about a class of children visiting the zoo. Their teacher instructs them to take a picture with an animal that rhymes with their name. As the children wander around the zoo, they struggle to get their pictures. Then, an even worse problem arises, they can’t find their classmate Merren! As the kids continue to search for Merren, they still haven’t gotten their pictures and now there’s too much to worry about!
Tony Dow’s story is filled with lovable characters and exciting rhymes. It engages young readers, allowing them to learn rhyming structure, while solving a fun mystery. The drawings on every page have colors that pop, making it even more appealing. Overall, Dow provides a story that children can read many times without getting bored.
I am giving Merren and the Herren, by Tony Down 5 out of 5 stars. Its mystery filled storyline and use of engaging literary techniques makes the story stand out from most children’s books. Its colorful drawings bring the characters to life and makes the audience even more absorbed with the story. Merren and the Heron is one of the most unique children’s stories I have read this month.

Resilience – The Ultimate Sustainability
Posted by Literary Titan
In Resilience – The Ultimate Sustainability, Aris Papadopoulos extensively writes about natural disasters, the environment, buildings, and construction. The author uses statistics to explain his points and why he arrived at certain conclusions. He goes through several disasters, talking about their causes, the damages they brought, and lives lost. Reading about recent disasters is an agonizing experience as the author makes one feel the impact of the disasters as if they happened in real-time. You can tell that the author has studied and extensively researched the topics he writes about. Reading Aris Papadopoulos’s book is not only eye-opening but also an educative activity.
The author starts by talking about major disasters that marked recent U.S history. He starts by discussing various hurricanes, the effects they caused, and how whatever remained after the damage was salvaged. When talking about a particular state or town, the author first makes the reader familiar with the area, giving general data of the state or city and highlighting common elements associated with the place. His narration of the events leading to the disasters is excellent. He touches on the administrative structure and how the federal government comes in, as they make the reader aware of different communities.
Every chapter talks about something different. You are assured of learning something new with every page. Aris Papadopoulos is blunt with the truth and not shy of exposing the flaws where the system failed. This book should be read by everyone in any executive post or position of power. There is a lot to learn not only for those who are admins but also for people who are in various sectors like, engineering, construction, environmental conservation, meteorology, and anyone else involved in making policies. I found the author’s text to be helpful as he uses a language everyone can understand even when talking about resilience and responsibility. Since some disasters are unexpected, the author advises everyone to be alert.
Resilience – The Ultimate Sustainability is not just about disasters that impact America, the author goes global and discusses different countries. One can learn multiple lessons from the countries mentioned given how they handle the disasters that affect them. This book makes you understand how politics is pivotal in every aspect of life. Bad politics and governance mean that the masses get to experience mediocrity. Aris Papadopoulos’s book will enlighten you on the value of upright politicians and why the stability of certain sectors is better for the economy among other things.

Inside the Head of a Bully
Posted by Literary Titan

Bullying: What Are We Really Scared Of challenges our current response to bullying and explores successful ways of dealing with bullies. Why was this an important book for you to write?
I was able to get inside the head of a bully, learn all the secrets as to how they bully and why. Stemming from this, I was able to devise an action plan to stop bullies from hurting me. After many years of implementing this plan, learning that it worked every time, seeing the world was in such a state with bullying problems, saddened, I felt it was imperative I shared the secrets to defeating the bullies to help victims with this worldwide problem.
What were some ideas that were important for you to focus on in this book?
Divulging the truth about bullying, that it is not just the schoolyard bully or domestic violator, but that bullying is in every aspect of our lives. Exposing their secrets and sharing how easy it is for bullies to be retrained during counselling from being a physical violator to a psychological abuser because that is when they are most dangerous. Demonstrating, with examples, how easy it is to fall victim to bullies and what to look out for to be safe from the manipulations of bullies. Explaining to victims that the Justice system is more often than not, a lame duck when it comes to seeking help from them so they don’t fall into the abyss of depression when it fails to help them. Most importantly, I wanted to empower victims to be self reliant, to help themselves to stop the bullies in their lives.
What is a common misconception you feel people have about bullying?
That bullying is scary, that once they fall victim to a bully it will never stop, that they cannot defeat it and no one would believe them.
Do you have plans to write other books on this topic?
Yes, I am in the midst of writing a book for younger children (ages 3-8) to help them understand bullying and what they can do to stop it.

This informative book challenges the current “system” response of victim blaming and punishment and lays the foundation for a successful way of dealing with bullies.
The author gives:
• Realistic, affordable and easy solutions to the bullying problem.
• Empowering victims to overcome their fears so they can stop the bullies easily.
• Aiding victims to diffuse bullying situations.
• Educating bystanders to understand their role in helping victims
• Educating parents to understand the situation their child is in and how to help.
• Educating school staff how to help the victims instead of punishing them.
• Educating the Justice System to help victims of all forms of abuse.
• Educating governments and education departments on better policy and decision making.
Bullies are really not that scary when you understand them, in fact, they are easy to control when you know how. Put all bullies in their place today, order your copy of Bullying What are we really scared of?

I Wanted Him to be Honored
Posted by Literary Titan

My Time With Papa helps readers deal with the loss of a loved one by reminding them of all the wonderful memories they have. Why was this an important book for you to write?
It was important for me to keep the book lighthearted but also provide a discussion for parents to have with children. I also wanted to make sure my stepfather came to life in the book by capturing things he loved and the bond he had with his granddaughter.
The art in this book was vivid and bright. What was the art collaboration like on this project?
My illustrator was fantastic in capturing my stepfather’s likeness. It was uncanny. I was very specific in what I wanted in the book because it was a reflection of him and I wanted him to be honored. My illustrator took the details and embodied the emotions I wanted to capture by keeping the illustrations lively and colorful.
Do you have plans to write other children’s book?
Yes, I do! After writing this book, I fell in love with process and wrote three more. I look forward to sharing those with the world as well!

Manufacturing Civility
Posted by Literary Titan
Christian Masotti and Lewena Bayer are here to make your workplace better and to make Human Resources understand that being civilized at the workplace is the way to go. The authors have done extensive research and have come up with a list of reasons why people loathe their workplaces. Manufacturing Civility will open your eyes to how toxic some workplaces can be. The authors have highlighted and discussed in depth what makes the workplace toxic and how to improve on that. Another topic that is discussed is different workplace cultures and workplace incivility. They describe workplace incivility as low-intensity deviant workplace behavior with an ambiguous intent to harm. Are you allowed to have light moments in the workplace? Are titles and job descriptions so important? Are you happy as an employee? The authors will help you answer these and related questions as they help you understand the importance of being productive and engaging at work. In the book, the authors list down character, courage, change readiness, critical communications, competency, and consistency as the 6Cs. Each of these Cs is discussed in detail, with the authors giving real life scenarios and relatable examples for better comprehension of the context.
The topics in the book may seem basic until one reads, reflects, and gets to compare notes. When reading this book, you realize that people can be more productive if the human resource or management make working spaces a little friendlier than they are. The tone and language used in the book is friendly and encourages one to read more. The authors are also honest in their discussions. They talk of the good things that happen at the workplace and also expose the bad that some managers and human resource practitioners engage in.
Manufacturing Civility: People Treatment as a Continuous Improvement Strategy is an informative book that will open your eyes to some of the things that people endure in the workplace. You will realize that the toxicity at some workplaces is at an all-time high, and gets to be overlooked in workplace culture. The authors also had advice for employees who do not know what to do when put in this difficult position. I recommend this book to every reader who wants to learn about different workplaces and how to improve the workforce. This book is both for the subordinates and those in managerial positions.

Peak Human Clock
Posted by Literary Titan
Reading Peak Human Clock will have you change your daily routine and make you conscious about what you consume. The author writes about the human body, how it functions, and why some people appear to be fit while others have unhealthy bodies. Said Hasyim is articulate in his explanation. Every point in the book is made clear and understandable to readers of all levels. He defines technical terms and discusses them in-depth to the satisfaction of the reader. Want to learn about circadian rhythm? This is the book for you.
The author describes circadian rhythm as the natural 24-hour clock inside the body. The circadian rhythm regulates all your body’s organ clocks. To make the reader understand better, Said Hasyim gives examples of various individuals with different routines and compares their eating, sleeping, and working habits. The author advises readers to have regular routines. Take your meal at set times, and have a planned sleeping schedule so as not to disrupt your circadian rhythm. Said Hasyim’s book will not only help you improve your physique but also help you better your mental state. The author’s systematic approach to things like exercise, getting enough sleep, and eating right is what makes his book a great read.
When talking about physical wellness, the author speaks to different groups of people. Women’s and men’s bodies function differently and the author explains how. One of my favorite topics was on body fat and how to lose it. The author suggests that the best way to start losing weight is by practicing time-restricted eating. Exercising and changing diet may help but having time-restricted eating is the fastest way to help any obese person shed fat. The author goes on to say that one can start with 12-hour fasting and gradually move to longer hours if their main goal is to lose weight fast. Another favorite discussion was about sleep and how to get quality sleep.
The author talks about the different stages of sleep and why one should schedule their sleep pattern. I found it noteworthy that the author insisted that sleep quality trumps sleep quantity. Peak Human Clock will help you get in shape, but only if you put in the effort. The author has sound advice that can help anyone keen on following the guidance in the book.
One could feel that the author is concerned about everyone’s health through his text. He is also straightforward and tells it as it is. There are no short cuts if you want to improve your health. With a fit body, you are assured to be in the right mental state. This book is informative and helpful to anyone conscious about their well-being. I recommend Peak Human Clock to all readers that are working towards being fit and healthy.
